In this video I have shared my reasons on why I decided to reject/drop one of the most competitive and prestigious scholarship by the Government of Japan for International Students i.e. MEXT Scholarship. Anyhow the reasons were more personal than general so I tried to keep this video as short, engaging, and to the point as much as I could.
The sole purpose of this video is to share my experience and show you the real side of abroad studies, so you can understand and take right decisions accordingly.

hey do i need ug in the relevent subject in order to apply for masters ....or i can explain how my ug ( which is in bcom related to business) and wish to study pg in animination cus i want yo open a business providing animination servies worldwide ... can i do this or should i take online animination cources to show certificate and my own personal work to prove that i have experience in this field ? i have read every single material for the criteries but was unable to get a clear answer
Can we do software engineering with GKS if I have pcb stream? I mean is there any requirement like only pcm students can do software engineering as we have in India ?
Umm, Firstly, I'm not a GKS scholar. Secondly, I have little knowledge about GKS graduate but zero about undergraduate. I think you can read the guidelines, which could help you out. Best wishes :)

You did good. Japan isn't a place to waste your time and resources. It's good for travelling, bad for work & living.
Umm. I wouldn't generalize for everyone but I think new companies have a better work culture. But I guess there is still problem of overworking at many places in Japan (or Korea as well).
@@research_with_yash Man, I've been there in Japan. It was suffocating. I couldn't even think creatively, couldn't exercise my hobbies or even didn't have the energy after all the work and studies. That society is zombiefied with clocks.

I mean yes i knew it, the situation in japan but watching ppl like ajay pandey and pawan who did acknowledge it but at same time said the overwork is paid unlike India, ofc the situation might be different after btech but i am not sure in 2024 😂 (we all know why).
And the second think is - is there really that big difference in korea & japan in work culture? I do watch ppl from korea and they both see in a way same... so, how you said its different (an exp would be helpful).
And that living part... well i think Indian do find it hard in both the countries- as we know "in India everyone is in hurry, but no one is on time" so ofc! (I do feel you generalized it but ofc you have personal exp of both countries i suppose.

It'll depend on the university and if they provide an English track or not. But tbh it's very hard to find one for undergraduate course.

Hi, if you are asking for masters then I think MEXT is best for engineering and physical sciences majors. I don't know about undergraduate one tbh, so can't comment on that.

Well sorry to say but if you can't even 80+ percentage in 11 and 12 then it would be harss for you
Cause mext is highly competitive not the written test that much but still for you it would be for away
As the best way to get this scholarship you should first qualify jee and neet test only if you had 75+ in 12
And about your question you can visit mext scholarship embassy japan there yll see that you have to score 65+ percentage in 12 if so then you are safe

Hi, so I can give you an overview, I was working on Tensor networks and Matrix product states during my internship work in Japan. I described about the topic and how and what I worked (mostly about the algorithm that I was working on) during my time in Japan. Then, how I want to carry out the work and forward the topic ( probably similar project) during my graduate studies. I hope this helps 🍀

Bro that's sad to hear. In my case they needed me to send a hard copy of a self-assigned letter clearing mentioning the reason of rejection yo the embassy.

in general it's easier to get scholarship for graduate courses. But like MEXT there are other scholarships by different countries, you may find one surly. (Like Korea has GKS)

Where to prepare for Mext Computer Science Masters pls?
Umm, I don't think you need to prepare subject specific. I remember they asked me some very simple questions regarding my major during the interview. I think why Japan, future goals, experience matters a lot more.....

Tbh, I don't know about MEXT Undergraduate, but generally MEXT is made to promote Research....so the possibility is low......but again, can't say exactly......

Tbh MEXT has been established solely to promote research. That's why most scholarships are for enginnering and natural sciences majors only.

Sorry missed your comment and yeah, I think you just need to notarize documents for MEXT (as far as I can remember), which you can do at a local court or a notary officer thereby.

I went through the complete rejection procedure with the embassy as quickly as possible, and they usually have a waitinglist as well, so I'm hopeful someone deserving got it :)
