I've lived in Steinbach my entire life (44 years) and this video is fairly accurate. It's flat, really cold in winter, and somewhat boring/sleepy but it's also clean, fairly safe and wealthy and has a much higher "nice people to jerks" ratio than most places. What is not mentioned in this video is that it has the highest churches to population ratio of any place in North America and is considered the "bible belt" of Canada. It also has the highest charitable donations per capita in North America as well (those two are linked together). Although the population is heavily conservative/Christianized it is still very welcoming to people of all beliefs. If you are willing to come live in peace you'll be welcome here although you'll find "Woke" ideologies are still very controversial in the area. Interestingly, as a kid I don't recall ever seeing anyone of Filipino ancestry but now there is a large minority of Filipinos in Steinbach. Go to any Steinbach park in summer and you are likely to see large groups of Filipinos taking up all the picnic shelters. LOL I have no problem with that but I'm still waiting for an invite to try some of that tasty smelling food! 😉
Thank you for your inputs. Yes the city is clean, slow yet peaceful and calm. I noticed the number of churches in the area and im quiet impressed. I live in Sask and its cold and windy in winter. Well, its good to hear that there are Filipinos in the area but sad that you are not able to try our pancit and spring rolls and some good filipino food. I wish i can cook some for you to try🤗
"Steinbach" in German means "Stone Creek" It is a neutral noun and starts with the article "Das" such as "Das Steinbach". There are hundreds of small and midsize towns throughout Germany particularly in the south that have Bach (Creek) such as Fellbach, Grunbach, Schlectbach, Feuerbach, Kaiserbach, Beuerlbach, and Monchengladbach with its famous soccer team. Es lebe Deutschland! Prost, Prost der Gemutligkeit!
Thanks for the information. Is getting a job in Steinbach easy? Planning to move their for schooling is it advisable? Heard that their is no public transport are their plans to make it available?
