What a wonderful thing it is to turn our backs, however briefly, on the terribly stupid things going on in U.S. politics and focus, however briefly on the positive values of the Mayo Cilnic and H.H. The Dalai Lama. We are truly blessed to have such models and influences.
We are the same, in that, we have the same basic needs:(food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, transportation, information, and community). Journalist, Sebastian Junger said that, when we share (basic needs), we are community. The Non Violent Communication Organization said that, "The denial of available basic needs, constitutes, violence". Our greatest natural ethic, "compassion", inspires us to share, thus, we increase, community and peace building, and reduce, suffering.
