What graphics card do you have? I'am using a gtx1660ti (6gb vram) with a ryzen 9 3950x (ik not the most balanced system but dont mind that) When I try to cache a small scene with a voxel size of like 1.5, cinema 4d always crashes/says maximum amount of vram allocated. I've never had this kind of issue with turbulenceFD or X-Particles, even with way smaller voxel sizes :/ Any tips on how to "fix" that?
With the VRAM issue its true that’s why I don’t push too much with certain things. Maybe you can check the threshold and increase it at places where you don’t want much details. Maybe the padding too if you don’t have fast moving objects on sim and also if you can separate sim if they are not interacting. But will all that there can still get to a point where vram will still get full.
@@pixelaffair Thank you for the tips, I'll try that and hope it will decrease the vram usage. Hopefully maxon is continously working on it, and will be able to make the whole engine a bit more optimized, since its still in its early state.
