The new subway cars look nice. They’ll eventually be assigned to the B line. I also think they need to do updating with the announcement system to the newer announcements like the light rail 🚋 trains do.
The PA system on the new CRRC HR4000 subway cars is still saying the old names of LA Metro's two heavy rail subway lines. Instead of the PA system saying the D Line, it would say the D Line's old name, the Purple Line (same for the B Line saying the old Red Line name instead). Even the PA system announcing the arrival at 7th Street/Metro Center station at 4:04 listing the LA Metro Rail line connections at that station is still saying "Connect here with the Metro E Line (Expo) on Platform 1, the Metro A Line (Blue) on Platform 2", dating back when 7th/MC station was the A and E Lines' terminus, at pre-Regional Connector era.
I think they should update the announcements on these trains to the new voice that is used on the light rail trains.
Couldn't wait for more of these HR4000s in the new year. I'm totally gonna be thrilled with it.

When is that extension to Wilshire and La Brea going to open???

More HR4000 trains will come next year in 2025.
And then the hr4000s will also be on the red line! (Or B Line)
