Back when I was in high school I got super into the 80s-90s goth and how they put things together I was 14-15 going to thrift stores and cheap clothing stores DIYing anything I could find. My first expensive score was my some cool gothy boot my dad got me for my birthday. I paired them with this thrifted diy outfit I made and ripped up stockings, I remember walking confidently down the street one day at this point I was 15 and this lady dressed up very corporate stops me and says “ I would like to talk about how your dressed” and I’m here a bit worried and pissed off it would be someone telling me I’m going to hell of something but instead she says “thank you so much, you’ve brought back so many memories I used to dress like this in the 80s with my friends you look lovely” I felt so happy and nice, I’ll never forget that day :) Till this day I shop at rainbow still !
My cheap ass loves Poshmark. You can find all kinds of items for very cheap, plus sell what you don't like. Found my favorite discontinued black Levis jeans for 1/2 the outlet store's sale price, and a backup of a black velvet skirt originally found in a thrift store just by looking up the tag name and item description. There's loads of Doc Martins, vintage 90s Sketchers, corset tops, skirts Alchemy Gothic jewelry, legit 80s-90s-Y2K items, including Lip Service, etc. It's awesome! There are sellers on there that find cool stuff in thrift stores and resell them so you can find some pretty rare items that way!

I love YOUR fashion videos because they’re unique, stylised, aesthetically pleasing, simplistic (in a good way!) versatile, and don’t reek of toxic consumerism. You’re not selling us a goth uniform that we HAVE to get to be accepted. You encourage us to be creative and conjure our own unique look to express ourselves. Hell, you’ve helped me immensely with making a Victorian inspired wardrobe from pieces I’ve found in Goodwill and SheIn. I plan on wearing one of such outfits in a VERY Victorian themed review I’ll soon be doing. You’re so amazing. I recently gone through this phase where I thought that because I’m a mom and I’m about to be a mom again that I had to put away goth clothing and become normal because ‘moms don’t do goth’ according to some people in my life. however finding you and a couple other channels it’s really made me miss the subculture and I realized that I don’t have to give up my personal style or the things that I love to be a good mom and if I live my truth then my kids will be able to find their own too. so I really appreciate this because I am broke and I’m trying to get back into it and this is really helpful.
I like the idea of more hats. You always need to find one that suits you, but they can really make an outfit. The extra wide belt instead of a corset is great idea. I have always loved long flowing sleeves. If they are sheer, even better. The same with a wrap. Different necklaces are a great way to create different looks without changing the whole thing. (silver of course!). And don't forget lots of rings! Your videos are great at giving different mix and match ideas, thanks!(and I love the DIY's).
When March Violets started playing I was reminded why I watch your fashion videos even though I don't need the advice and am already on a similar page. They're just fun to watch and I love watching lookbook stuff that still has the goth heart ♡ And playful energy! Thank you!!

I feel you. Granted I'm a boy so I probably wouldn't wear these outfits but there's not much around me and I'm a broke ass teen so I have to get to creative and that's fun. I just put together a real cool jacket, it is a black denim jacket that I got for between 10 and 15 dollars at Ross,safety pins I found around my house, these really cool metal buttons that I got off a sweater at the thrift store, and I DIYed a bunch of band patches, I can't wait to see everyone's reactions to my Christian Death and Alien Sex Fiend patches.

I had to repair it though like three days ago because it's hand sewn and the thread started coming out so I'm just hoping that doesn't happen again.

Well, I don't know how you feel me chiming in, but I definitely can relate. I gained a lot of confidence by going to a gym-I was a big kid, then got teased because I was so skinny. Another quick suggestion is to surround yourself with positive people-misery loves company, so if you happen to have toxic fumes in your social circle, get rid of them. Have a great holiday
If your weight is affecting your health, adjust it to where it isn’t. You don’t have to fit in a little box. I’m 5’7” and charts say I should be between about 120-145 to be healthy but I weighed 160 when I had a flat stomach and I wasn’t going to the gym, I was just playing hard during gym class until I messed my hip up and couldn’t anymore. That “healthy” zone would have been starving myself. So really, you ought to just listen to your body and do what’s best for you personally. Don’t do anything that causes damage to yourself. I’ve gained weight and I’m a plus size girl now but I eat healthy foods often. Drinking water and eating fruit & veggies frequently makes you feel better, don’t even think about dieting necessarily just say “I want to add this into my existing diet so I get some vitamins”. That helped me the most. Hydration alone got me to drop 20 pounds the summer I started doing that because my body needed it. I still have more to lose ofc, but 🤷🏻♀️ there’s also just not thinking about your body in any kind of objectifying way. Think of it in its literal sense. Is it holding all your body parts in place? Is it functioning and allowing you to live? Good. You can be a chonker or you can be a lean bean, doesn’t matter as long as you’re not at a point of handicapping yourself. If you don’t let anything restrict you, you will be happier. Freedom is key. Wear what you want, do what you want with it, and at least just keep it healthy enough that you can keep it working efficiently. That’s all you really need to worry about.

I’ve come to find that all those “Basic white girl” (I mean that as no offense it’s just how I describe the stores) stores are great for basics and then layers and layers! If you are absolutely broke, your cheapest option is Goodwill Outlet or The Bins as some people call it. You can probably fill an entire cart with black clothing for under $20 but you have to dig for it. If you want to crop any shirts you won’t feel bad about it because it was so cheap!

A playlist of The kind of Goth music that made you realize.. this is it! This is something that I want to be a part of. I was a KISS fan as a child. But I am growed now. yeah I still have a KISS playlist. But the songs on it are from a live album that was made in the 70's. But this is neither here nor there.. If you are absolutely broke, your cheapest option is Goodwill Outlet or The Bins as some people call it. You can probably fill an entire cart with black clothing for under $20 but you have to dig for it. If you want to crop any shirts you won’t feel bad about it because it was so cheap!
