I just did this trail a couple of days ago on my ebike from maple springs. Yes the climb, omg. Had to walk some parts but it was fun. Joplin made the luge look easy.
Did this loop today. On a SL ebike conserving battery and rode a lot on eco and powered off as I was getting range anxiety. It didnt end. But the downhill was worth it. Just need to be prepared for mechanical failures or crashes as I was alone and didn't see anyone else. No cell reception. Watched your video before going and made me feel better.

This an Honest and my personal preference type of comment to you and this only on the video quality. Videos ive watched of you from 2020 seems like its overexposed and kind of grainy. Dont know if its in the white balance setting or an increased ISO lmit thats causing it. But your last 2 videos that Ive watched, the Turnbull Canyon and this one, so much better and I can the track more well defined now. Not overexposed that its showing more color now. Good job, on the improvement, otherwise I can not question your content and your skill of riding. How I wish I could have as much guts as you do riding blind on a Double Black trail on top of the video vlog. Thank you for the videos and keepbot coming. BTW, nice to know that you are a fellow eBiker. Will keep watching your channel.

I did this recently on my e-bike also and i thought the same as you after climbing to the top that the climb is insane to do on a regular bike. I just got my e-bike about a lil under month now and enjoying endless riding every day.

Nice vid! What a gorgeous, remote place. Pretty sure I rode that trail but it would have been ages ago. I probably even did that psychotic climb to get there. Of course, back then I was younger, stronger, faster, etc. Anyway, looked like lots of shady areas through all the lush vegetation. And yeah, super loosey goosey terrain, lol! Were there a lot of dismount sections or was it mostly all rideable? Good stuff as always, man!
Thanks brotha! This will probably be my one and only time coming to this trail due to the climb. There were some sections that I had to dismount. I didn’t include it in the vid because I felt it messed up the flow. Overall all it was a fun ride.
No shame in stepping off on that trail. I was training to do that with my naturally aspirated trail bike and then dismounted over the bars at over 30mph. Spent 5 months in bubble wrap but time to do it again. Nice video.

That trail has too much climbing, too rough, and I'm too old. Lol. But its cool to see new trails on video. There are some trails i only need to ride once. I totally understand. Long hard climbs kill me. Maybe ebike someday. 😎 my dream is to ride El Prieto. But that long climb to the top before heading down to the turn off to the trail is rough. But will be getting to it soon. Could you do an update on how you feel about your ebike and how riding has changed for you? A short video maybe.

There is no way I could do this on my regular mountain bike. The ebike will be able to take me so many more places. 🤙🏻
