Talking of whether or not they'll release DLC, and about the success of Bastion - Bastion's success was very late after release, from what they've talked about in interviews, and the fact that they had Warner Bros then means that Hades and Bastion are very different beasts. Hades has pretty explosive success within the first few months after release and was their first early access game, so it's already way different. I think whether or not they release DLC is ultimately up to them, if they think there's good story there, but I think it's more likely for Hades than any of their other games thus far.
I could see them using DLC as a way to lead the story towards a sequel to Hades, where maybe Zag will overcome the Narrator sending him back to the Styx as soon as he steps out of the Underworld.
@@ekian111 I'd personally love to see them revisit their original story of Theseus fighting Asterius only to go deeper into the underworld to find King Minos, one of the judges of Hades, and fight him. :P but of course it depends on them
Last run looks like it started at 1:01:21 ish (by timer, not video time), so that achilles alone was 15:24 RTA, that's WR (narrowly beating the current best of 15:27, so definitely double check the start time)
Potential DLC idea for Supergiant: New dialogue from characters whenever the player is running in a "speedrun" mode. They will basically try to talk to Zag as fast as possible, and Zag will respond as fast as he can. Just an idea...

I don't know if you know, but in Asphodele you can dash through the gates of the boat before receiving the boon. So you can spam RB after receiving the boon to go to the next area.
I've been struggling to make Guan Yu work (and the other spears... Like Achilles is *ok* but I just dont think any of them feel strong) and when I see Haelian's All Spears WR what he does is chuck spears exclusively for GY. I mean that's clearly optimal, but does anyone have a decent build for that delicious spin attack?
It takes a bit more luck and goes a bit slower, but there are tons of boons for gy spin. Ultimately it's just not good for WR attempts because it is a bit slower to get the spin going. You have to watch your HP but GY spin is easily one of the more relaxed and OP builds in the game. It's just not fast compared to others. Haelian did it too. ruclips.net/video/L63-2U5pBm0/видео.html
Anyone know why 9 heat specifically? I assume 0 heat speedruns are frowned upon but how is it chosen? Heat doesn't affect drop rates at all afaik so I don't see a benefit, but 9 seems odd.
9 heat includes forced overtime 2, which makes enemies spawn faster, and Extreme Measures 2, in which Lernies heads spawn closer together making it easier to get to them. So those heat options can help making better time.
