that jacket you are wearing is so stylish. not sure a scrawny, ginger dude like myself would have the confidence to wear it but it looks ridiculously stylish on yourself
My father was a tailor fitter for over 40 years. He worked in the Washington DC metro area. From Brooks Brothers , Garfinkles, Burrbery, Latt's Country Squire, Power & Goode and others. He would have agreed with much of what you have covered in your videos.
I have a suggestion proff. How about you wrap up every future video by doing a quick breakdown of your outfit? Explain what you are wearing today and why you chose to wear it together. It would make an educational and satisfying end in my opinion.
Always happy to see that a new AskOkey video is out! Regarding the two jackets, I liked features from both cuts, to be honest, but I absolutely prefer your jacket length.
I just wanted to say your outfit in this looks utterly fantastic. Bold, almost whimsical, but mature and dignified all at the same time. I look forward to watching more of this quality content.
Thank you boss for introducing me to the drape cut now I've been working in the hospital for a year and a half as executive I never liked the dream cut but it sure makes sense thank you
Just found your Instagram randomly. prior to these, I’ve never been someone who knew much about suits. Always was the kind of guy who had one suit I bought for some big event, then reused it when needed sporadically, till I needed to replace it (probably cause it was cheap and fell apart hehe). All my work over the years hasn’t been suit level dress codes as well, so never had a requirement to explore this side of men’s wear for that. But, I’ve found your videos really enjoyable to watch, really cool to see all the details and skill involved in this, all the history, the massive amount of possible variation and self expression (something I really didn’t appreciate suits could offer). Plus it’s nice to just watch a calm, informative video, featuring people passionate about something positive hehe. That’s a nice change of pace on the internet 😂
Proff, you definitely know your stuffs; and the way you meticulously explain the process of making these coats is extraordinary. Your command of English and diction is quite fascinating.
If he stepped out onto the street in front of me on the sidewalk wearing that coat and trousers with a fedora placed on his head, my jaw would drop in wonder and admiration and I would gape and stare all the while speechless😮
@@AskOkeyInc Yes and my favorite attire in which to see you would be you wearing a mid night blue blazer paired with camel colored, fawn, or tan pleated slacks, a crisp white dress shirt or yellow shirt with paisley patterned blue or red silk tie...maybe even a yellow tie with subtle patterns. The pants and blazer could either be tropical or winter wool. Then the whole ensemble should be topped off with a white Monte Christi straw Panama fedora style hat from Manta Ecuador or Aguadas Colombia. If you came into my field of vision that way, I would be awe struck and green with envy. 😂
@AskOkey: Can you do an educational on shirt collar styles? Shirt collar styles keep changing to include different collar cuts and of different sizes and clearance and sweep. In the mid 70s we had those very wide shirt collars but there is always the time-less classic for shirt collars. Based on your videos I realize that you mix different shirt collar designs? But what is the 'You-can-not-go wrong' preference.
I was looking for this kind of video, in your videos from 7 years ago you were wearing the neapolitan cut, right? I was wondering what made you change aesthetics? Both are revolutionary for this era since both have great fit and fuller high waist trousers, just that now you evolved to the drape cut, out of curiosity I would love to see you explain in a thorough video with you showing how both cuts fits you ,and why now you prefer one cut over the other. Thanks proff!! Merry christmas and happy new year!
Sir: The jacket you are wearing is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen; I love the colour and the pattern. Is the fabric Italian or British? Something tells me is Italian. I cannot picture an Englishman wearing something as flamboyant as that. Regards. Claudio.
PROFF, could you do a video on things to look out for on a bespoke suit for shorter men? And also things to look out for when going to bespoke tailors.
Whenever you guys decide to do some pro bono work, I am volunteering for your first “pro bono suit”………….. I prefer a black or navy blue, maybe even a classic pinstripe, or the gray coat that Jorge was wearing, wool of course, double breasted, drape cut. Just let me know when you need my measurements, and I’ll get them to you right away😁. Thanks Proof, your suits are precious works of art.
My grandfather had made a suit for himself from Saville row. In his will he literally said the suit would go to my father for he is the only son who made him proud. The suit then got ruined years later when my father had a car accident. Any chance you guys might be able to recreate it?
@@AskOkeyInc Thank you. Your designs have really grown on me. My body type does not work well with drapes but i see now what you are going for and I am a supporter.

Very interesting. What height are you? Your trousers remind me of what my father described as his "elephant bags". He was 6 feet 5 inches in height. My observation is that the lapels on the jackets appear wide, albeit I don't object particularly.

The gray jacket is a good look for a complete suit, whereas the tan jacket is a good look for jeans and / or complimenting color slacks/trousers.

At what height should the double breasted jacket be buttoned?
I see the askokey one has been buttoned a little higher than the naval height.
Good question Modi
We have a 6x2 and 6x1 Double Breasted Coat
The former is buttoned at the 2nd row while the latter at the 1st (bottom) row
Quick question. Are you the designer or the tailor of these suites? Or both?
