That's the plan!! This is the area we will be riding in the Broken Enduro Ride that I'm leading. I'm going to do some recon in the next couple weeks and see if I can stretch out the ride to be a full day long.
Now that looked like a great ride, it seemed to have a little of everything! That fall towards the downhill side could have been a lot worse, good it only smashed your shift level. And it was funny to see your dad cruise right on up but hey you did take the hard line!!!
Yeah that is a really great loop! I know you've done some of it with us, but I'm pretty sure we never dropped down the back and into that dry wash. And that fall could have been really bad, especially with all the sharp rocks around me. But I lucked out 👍 My dad clearly picked a better line, but it also helped that he was smart enough to keep up his momentum. Haha.
This was a strange suggested video, guess I'll have to finish season 47 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians later... I can't wait to ride here! I hope those canyons and rocky struggle hill are on the loops! You guys are so damn fast, crazy. It's always a fun feeling to be stuck on a hill to watch "the old guy", blast by on the hero line! Yeah you can now return to the Kloe and Kim show. I'm going to do some recon runs this coming weekend and see what else I can add to this loop for February. The only reason I'm anywhere near comfortable with this speed is because I know the trail. I'm sooooo much more careful when I'm in a new place, I'm probably half this speed 😄
I appreciate that! In truth, it's mostly because I'm very familiar with this route. When I watch the footage of mine where I'm in a new riding area, I notice I'm about half that speed 😄
I'm a bit late to this, but if your rear end is wallowing/chopping, check your rear preload and if that is okay add a click or 2 of rebound. Fairly common problem on link rears like yours.
Funny you bring this up right now. My suspension off the bike, getting a total revalve and respring. The issue is that it's just too soft for the faster stuff. So it goes through the stroke way to easily, especially in the rear. I started realizing this more and more, as I compared it to my CR125 with suspension set up for motocross. Even with the CR being on the firm side, it's way more in control than the soft suspension of the Beta. Good to hear from you! Thanks for the advice. I think you're on the money with sag, since my spring rate isn't correct right now.
Hah! Well it was the same weekend, but not the same ride. My brother Wes is not to be trusted when he says we are joist going to go out for a little cruise. Collin joined us last weekend and we had an awesome time out there. Hopefully we can get out there all on the same weekend soon!! How have you and the family been? Happy New Year!
