Don't even get it twisted. KD lead the Warriors in points and FG attempts because Steph let him. Anyone who knows basketball and watched that team could tell that in that locker room, Steph was always the man.
Everybody talks about how bad Scottie Pippen was in the 98 Finals but they forget how Pippen was injured in that 98 Finals. Pippen literally injured himself sacrificing himself for the team drawing 4 charges on Karl Malone G3 in that series & continue to draw charges on Malone after that game until his back gave out & broke. That wasn’t even Pippen’s job to draw charges on Malone, that was Kukoc job to do that but Kukoc refused to do it after MJ told him to do it. I don’t know how you expect Pippen to not get injured drawing charges on a Malone who’s 6’9 265 pounds of muscles constantly lowering his shoulder & upper body on you when your in a size disadvantage. But Pippen did those little intangible, dirty work things that helped his team win & made MJ’s job easier but fans & media just want to ignore that. Bet you MJ not taking no charges from Karl Malone
Super Cap!! Pippen hurt himself because we wasn't conditioned to play since he waited to get surgery. He came back mid season and wasn't all the way ready. Also, MJ said it himself. He wasn't expecting anyone to do things he wasn't willing to do himself. You know that because his teammates said it. His play also showed it. He was out there playing on E! Go look at him in that game 6. Dude had food poisoning and was still the best player on both teams. Stop. Pippen did what he was supposed to do. Play defense and help on Offense. The shit everyone else wa supposed to do.

In ‘94 and ‘95 the three point like was short. That’s why Orlando and Houston were so good. They put three point shooters around the two most dominant centers at the time and dared teams to double. I still have Hakeem as the best all around Center of all time.
@@superSIZEmeeI'd agree with Hakeem being well over jokic on defense. They aren't equal in terms of offensive production though. Jokic averages around the same ppg, ON TOP of the assists. Jokic PER jumped over Lebron's all time and landed just under Jordan. Joker is no joke. See what I did there..😊
@@nathanc30 I agree that considering the assists makes Jokic a more dynamic offensive player that Hakeem, yet FOR ME being reliable offensively and defensively makes Hakeem more valuable in my opinion. Simply because I would want my Point Guard organizing and facilitating the offense. I admit that’s it’s cool to see a 7”0 guy create plays and get guys involved but that’s an unnecessary luxury as I don’t need that from the Big position. Having it would be a welcomed addition but I wouldn’t be searching for a 7”0 who is a better PG than Center. To be a complete team I would want my players to be able to stay on island defending their guy without much help. Jokic isn’t that player I would choose Hakeem because though he’s not as great a playmaker as Jokic Hakeem wasn’t a horrible playmaker either and he was a reliably complete player. I don’t feel that with Jokic his defense leaves much to be desired for me.
@@nathanc30 I concede that Jokic is a incredible player. I just don’t credit him for being a COMPLETE PLAYER. He’s a Complete Offensive Player. But Defensively he leaves you disappointed…!
Dirk's ring is the heaviest of all. He went through Phil Jackson and Kobe's back to back champion Lakers, OKC's future MVPs Harden, Westbrook and Durant. And then the superteam of LeBron, Wade and Bosh. 33 year old Dirk showed LeBron what loyalty was all about.
loyalty wasn’t gonna shit for lebron😂8 years is loyalty bro, if a team can’t build a competent roster in damn near a decade, then it’s bigger issues than loyalty

Would Kd have blown a 3-1 lead if he was on the warriors instead of Steph? Well it’s really easy to say that Kd only has to win 1 game, but it was also really easy to say that about the Warriors with Steph at the time. You’re using hindsight bias because you know Curry doesn’t win the last 3 games, so all “Kd has to do is win 1”. You’d also be ignoring the fact that a lot of things were breaking wrong for Curry. He was dealing with injury, Draymond got suspended, Bogut got injured, Harrison Barnes couldn’t shoot, and the team as a whole was missing shots. So if you apply all those things to a Kd lead warriors team, yes Kd is just as likely to blow a 3-1 lead as Curry is, just like we saw in the 2016 WCF

The greatest ring is the one where the lowest seed ever manages to win. The 1994/5 Houston Rockets had the greatest ring ever - end of! As the 6th seed they didn't have home court advantage in any series. They beat the 3rd, 2nd & 1st seeds in the West - teams that had won >55games in the regular season. The Spurs also had the MVP of the league that year and they still best them. In the Finals, they swept the No1 seeded Orlando Magic. They win a record 9 away games. They have the greatest ring.
Easiest question to answer...I actually have a 3 man list..in specific order. #1 Hakeem #2 Dirk #3 Lew Alcindor....honorable mention to Tim Duncan, and Kawhi Leonard respectfully!
2:14:13 I actually think the 91 Bulls team was the best team. They won 61 games in the regular season and then went 15-2 in the playoffs. They were utterly dominant. I also think the 69 win team from 96-97 was better because Jordan was playing out of his mind in the playoffs in 97
Have to disagree with you on that one...he shot pretty badly in the series vs the Heat. He also didn't have his best finals series compared to his standard

@@tashrif46 Hold on Remember one thing you could not leave your man, and double team. I believe they would call illegal defence. There was little to no zone defense either which can be effective against a scorer. Lebron Does fight through double teams, and Has the strength to finish at the basket with people hanging on him. Bron Even double or tripple teamed is great at finding the open shooter or cutter to the basket. They Did change the rule. Low said the pistons 04 ring wasn't more impressive than that Mavericks ring... Lol. Facts are that Vegas odds had the pistons as 50 to 1 underdogs to win in 5 at the start of f the series. As a life long pistons fan I took t he at bet for 10 grand. I cashed out a retirement check. True story.
I'd say it's arguably as impressive, just off of the fact we didn't have a player of Dirk's caliber on the team. I think the Pistons were probably more well-rounded than the Mavs if we're talking rotations as a whole, but the Mavs had the benefit of getting a fantastic playoff run from one of the greatest PFs of all time. The Pistons didn't get the benefit of that
There's literally no reason to be a fan of teams. As fans, we relate to the employees (the players) so much more than the owners they play for. It makes no sense to be a fan of teams instead of players
@snowmontana2547, would the Mavs got past the kings in the previous round, if C-Webb did not get injured in that series?-Kings beat Mavs 4-1 in the playoffs the previous year, won the regular season series 3-1 in 02-03, and were 1-0 game up when C-Webb got injured(to be fair the Mavs were blowing them out that game in question so 1-1), and the series still went 7.
KD Scoring more points than Steph in his spot doesn’t mean they win. If he scores more it takes away from others lol it’s not like KD scores extra points with extra time on the clock. Klay scores less, Iggy scores less, etc…
what people don’t want to talk about is how much the momentum shifted after bogut got injured in 2016 i remember watching that series and they were able to get into the paint so much easier once he wasn’t available it just got worse when draymond got suspended that one game
17:01 Thats what separates Michael Jordan from others. He created an entire paradigm where you did not have to be the center to be the main ingredient of a championship team or have a dominant center alongside to win either. He paved the way for the likes of Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, etc to be the main player and sometimes lead scorer of a championship team.

That being said tho, if you look at all 4 of the series Hakeem played in ‘95, he absolutely dominated individually an an all-time level on both ends of the floor. His individual play outperformed what Dirk was able to do in most/any of his series in 2011. Hakeem never had homecourt and his team was always the underdog in every single round. Peja was a non factor in the finals avg 6 minutes a game, only played in 4/6 games and Caron Butler was injured the whole season lol. 2012 heat had more depth but they still could’ve won easily in 2011 off their star power alone. Did you forget how easy they ran through the 62 win Bulls and Big 4 Boston?? They were up 2-1 and lost game 4 by 3 points in a game where LBJ had 8 points. I promise you Tyson Chandler was not guarding the paint that well. Not to mention they blew a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter of game 2, they realistically could’ve swept Dallas.
not being an all star doesn’t matter at that moment when the other person guarding you is Mario chalmers Tyson made all defensive second team and was on fiba team in 2010 and 2012 summer Olympic team so he had to be good to make that team.

These are the 2 most valuable rings ever so respect to both. But yeah Hakeem’s ‘95 ring is pretty safely above Dirks ring no disrespect
Explanation tho?
@@SosanoSammyyy They were the 6th seed, the lowest ranked team to win the chip ever. They might have been the favorites at the start of the regular season, but they were far from that at the start of the playoffs.
Dirk played amazing in his run and I dont want to take anything away from him or his ring, in my mind his ring was the 2nd greatest ever, extremely high praise.
And then you look at the finals, the Magic were about a 60-win team with 2 superstars and great role players around them. That Magic team was one of the best teams ever to not win a ring. And Hakeem led the sweep against them in the finals as the 6th seed, and he played on a far higher level individually than Dirk did in the 6-game series in the finals against the Heat.
No doubt..better competition at his position

The two that come to mind is 2016 Cavs, and 1969 Celtics.
Im a Lebron fan and I still kind of agree with Del. I’m not 100% sure that KD gets one more off the Cavs in 2016 but considering how much slower the games got in 5,6, and 7 Kevin Durant ability to score over double teams and in isolation during half court offensive possessions gives the warriors a better chance to win ONE more game.
Imo they don't get that opportunity to go up 3-1 had they swapped KD with Steph. Stephs impact alone was the main reason they went up 3-1.
Too bad that’s not how life works

That Orlando Magic team would have won had they stayed intact for a long time

Right but hes blatantly lying in defending lebron by saying things like the heat weren't a superteam. Hes gone to the other extreme in order to combat one extreme.
Chill is just pathetic…his whole schtick contradicts itself everytime he opens his mouth. He pretends to be like this hyper purist, old school crusader that basically bashes everyone north of Shaq in terms of era but manages to put Lebron at number 1.
Hes an idiot lol hes a Brontard and he doesnt kno what hes talking about, hes just well spoken.
He always has been and he’s a Kobe and MJ hater because he doesn’t like them personally
Canada Dry Man I hate the revisionist history. When Lebron first announced the decision, I thought the Heat was going to run the table. Trying to downgrade Wade & Bosh just to boost Lebron like that is so nasty. Everyone forgets how Wade outplayed Lebron in the 2011 playoffs & Finals but it was all Lebron somehow
We can hate all we want on ticket, but without him this would be boring as hell.. I've watched / listened to 4-5 of Players Choices panels and it's always him arguing with everyone else. 😂
Keep it going Ticket!
Ticket is corny. I loved 80s and 90s and was there for ALL of it but Superteams have existed since the 1950s and have been 1 or more in every decade! 90s is objectively only 1. Pippen was 1 of the 2-10 best players EVERY YEAR of 90-91 to 97-98! Bulls went 55-27 without MJ with Pippen 3rd in All Star Grant Armstrong both All Stars too! 3 All Stars and a bad call away from being favored in ECF as heavy favorites vs my 48-34 Pacers in ECF (who they were 4-1 against us in regular owning us).
“Super team” is the biggest BS narrative ever to try and discredit LeBron or anyone besides MJ (and apparently PRIME SHAQ KOBE and GREAT SHOOTING from them!).
MJ is my Co GOAT and I’ve seen MJ & LeBron live center court row 10 since 85 over 50x each!
OG LOW actually know their stuff, Ticket is literally a Skip Bayless fast talking Stan who doesn’t bend and repeats the same things over and over.
I actually wish Ticket let down his guard and laughed more like he did when Durant replacing Steph question came up 😅. He said it out quiet bc he hates Durant and LeBron. He still had to get a shot in though and say “LeBron would have 40 though bc he had 1 40 point game in game 5😂)
PS Pippen made 3 straight FIRST TEAM ALL NBA 94/95/96 twice w/out MJ and 8 straight 1st team All NBA D is GOAT for SF (LeBron 2nd at 5!) and in 91-93 finals averaged 21, 9, 7, 2spg, 1bpg 47 FG% God tier defense. Very few have ever averaged that stat line or better in every category in any finals let along over 3 peat! MJ was God Tier alien and best player easily on planet but Scottie was 2nd best player in 2/3 finals and only behind Barkley in 93. Saying “Jordan made them all good” like they weren’t great players. Why didn’t MJ make all 3 teams BEFORE Horace and Scottie in 87 great? Way under .500 and 1-9 in playoffs. It’s a TEAM game and only casuals pretend otherwise.
Curry was ABSOLUTELY not hurt and I’m over that excuse. In 9 games BEFORE Finals in playoffs after out (they went 4-2 without him and Klay Draymond both balled TF out!) Curry AVERAGED 29, 7, 6 overall, 35, 10, 7 first 2 games back (50 FG%) vs Blazers! Last 3 games vs OKC Pre finals down 3-1 he averaged 33 7 7 2spg on 47/47/91 and ppl wanted to pretend he was hurt? Cavs were much more physical vs Steph and followed him like gloves. They let em always play more in finals.
Ticket rolls blunts and yells Skip Bayless type cliches the whole time. Teams with GREAT GMs have had GREAT teams every decade for 70 years you GOOF 🤣
What “Giannis did” AKA his GM got JRUE HOLIDAY a great 2 way player to go with 24, 6, 5, 2 steals 45/36/89 in Finals. Giannis best 2 way all around player in NBA last 2-3 years for sure, but even this year you saw no Middleton out in ECSF and Giannis was ELITE! Casuals pretend it’s 1-1 game😂
I do agree with ticket KD going back to GSW would be weak AF agree 1000% (I would say same if LeBron did it too).

How was Steph not hurt in those finals he literally missed time and sustained injuries during that same playoffs run, he played well in the first few rounds because he got a chance to recuperate in Portland but then got injured again and his play decreased the injury got worse dummy
I've always kept it consistent with injuries and the cavs strat to play physical with Steph was amazing but that was heavily aided by Steph being injured because he couldn't drive past even klove

Chilltown, come on man, the Heat in 2011 with Lebron, Wade and Bosh wasn’t a superteam, SMH. Bosh wasn’t a 2 time all star, he was a 5 time all star before he came to the Heat & he made the all star 5 out of his 7 seasons in Toronto. So that means Bosh was a perennial all star and that means the Heat was a superteam.
Chilltown you say Bosh wasn’t a superstar but he averaged over 22 & 10 5 out of his 7 seasons in Toronto & averaged 24 & 11 his last season in Toronto. Come on man, cut the cap, that was considered a superteam of the highest order when they formed, stop making revisionist history

For me its Kobe in 2010, he didnt have another 20ppg scorer beside him, no 3pt shooting and he had to beat everybody including an OP Boston Celtic Superteam that had just beat him 2 yrs prior.
When Dirk beat MIA, everybody knew that they were beatable because the chemistry hadnt grown yet…Dirk beating them wasnt a surprise, it was only a surprise on paper.
Tyson Chandler didn’t win DPOY till 2013 and Jason Kidd was pushing 40. Great team though
@@PJPayway it doesn’t matter he was in his prime then and him winning that award makes him more than just another player on dirk team. He was the big reason why bosh and bron struggled in the paint.

I think ppl get the 2011 heat and the 2012 heat mixed up. Because of the mavs loss they fixed the glaring issues they had even copied the mavs mode
@@leroyflex1258 Yea but he wasn’t DPOY he didn’t even make a all-defensive team. Jason Kidd might be a top 5 all time but he was not a top 5 PG in 2011. Drose, CP3, Rondo, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Tony Parker we’re all better than him. Great player but past his prime, wasn’t even a all star. Not to mention they blew a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter of game 2, they realistically could’ve swept Dallas.
not being an all star doesn’t matter at that moment when the other person guarding you is Mario chalmers
Tyson made all defensive second team and was on fiba team in 2010 and 2012 summer Olympic team so he had to be good to make that team. Yes they could of swept them but Lebron and bosh had their scoring in the paint that’s why they both shot below 50% that finals. Bosh shot worse at a 41% clip.
It’s funny how you don’t bring up Tyson led the finals in rebound and blocks
Kidd led the finals in assists. Dirk had the most points.
