@@MinorcanMullet I had to review because Ezra Sol has been handling the 'Dale Pyatt', Cashman's (red) clamshell dredge. Thanks for this video. As someone who knew nothing about maritime activity before the accident, it's been nice to have people willing to explain the basics to everyone, including the boats. I live in the Tampa area now and I came from Hampton Roads 13 years ago after raising my son there, so it was interesting to hear about tugs coming from places I've lived. I agree with you, the Ezra Sol is a pretty boat! Thank you for the pics of the memorial site. In all the work that's going on, there is a need to remind people those workers being on the bridge is what kept so many others from dying. Many people will never know how close they came to losing their loved ones that night. The memorial is a true picture of how America was built and reminds us of the most famous words from Lady Liberty's poem: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
God has blessed my wife and I with 3 riverboats cruises. Two were on the Ohio river and one was on the Mississippi River. As I recall, the number of large exhause stacks equal the number of main engines and thus the same number of screws (propellers). These tugs are the muscle boats that are needed and required to maintain the movement of large ships (sadly missing during this tragedy).
Excellent coverage. The tug with 2 emd engines are used im locomotives. Good engine if service regularly. Worked for Norfork Southern for 18 years repairing locomotives. They didnt service them as should have been.
I just discovered your site by watching the live feed of bridge and very happy to see detailed info on boats and ships assisting in clean up. I follow ships starting with the Concordia and Golden Rey also. Keep up good vidios, Andy👍🏻
Great information! I was wondering if you could do a video on the other cranes on site. I’m familiar with the Chesapeake 1000 and the weeks 500. I’d love to know more information about all the other cranes. Thanks for the videos.
Nice work showing the activity around Key Bridge. It would be interesting if someone could film the Port area and the activity over there. What is happening currently? Thanks.
What a cool idea! Thank you. Did the Shannon Dann come all the way from Florida? If so, how much fuel did it take and what is the estimated cost on that trip alone?
I don't have the details to answer your question. If the tug was towing a barge, it would have been consuming much more fuel than if it was just steaming. Hard to say.
Is the Dali being punished for the bridge accident because everything is being done but action to release/extricate the Dali is not being taken? The Dali is also sitting on the deeper part of the channel and it is a very wide ship?
I think the emphasis is on getting the channel beside her opened up so some shipping can resume. They've removed a lot of containers from the Dali, which has to be done before attempting to remove the tangled trusses.

I am amazed the tugs move those enormous crane platforms and barges so quickly and accurately. The tug captains have huge respect from me!
Capt. Andy, I am finding that you are being referenced in a lot of yt'rs channels as the salvage vid guy
Way to go sir.
Wow, thanks
Thanks for introducing the key players Andy. Beautiful to see the memorial to the 6 heroes. May they Rest in Peace.
Excellent Tug Education. Prayers to the Workers and their Families. 🙏🏼 Thanks Captain Andy
Much appreciated
Captain Andy, you are doing a great job introducing the players.
I appreciate that!

Glad you like them!
@@MinorcanMullet thank you
Appreciate your in depth commentary on what's going on with the work in the harbor and who is carrying it out.
Very nice video on the equipment they got a claw that was used on the golden ray loved the memorial for the heroes that passed RIP to them

The RR never does.
Love the in-depth look at the working vessels. These boats do more, and more varied, work out on the water. Strong work with the video.
Couldn't get the job done without them
We need trading cards! Thanks for the info. 👍
Thank you, Capt Andy, for this video and showing up the players behind the scenes clearing the channel. I look forward to all of your updates.
More to come!
The USCG had a very unique tug long ago. Diesel electric tug prototype, called the Cherokee. The vessel had 4 V12 Super Charged GM EMD engines.
Another excellent video.
I appreciate that

It’s coming. We will try to add asset information once or twice a week
Thank you for the workers that died❤.
I would love to see a drone shot of the port and the ships waiting to get in or out of the port, including cruise ships.
Thanks for this video, great work!!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Captain Andy ❤
You are so welcome
Good point about the traffic control on the bridge.
Thank you for the video
The 1st two numbers on the bow of a Coast Guard vessel are it's length. Like 25, 29, 87 ... 87323
love your information, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
appreciate the info on the tugs

Just curious: “you reference the minor a navy”. Are you from st. Augustine, Florida? I am minorcan by birth!
My people are! I still have family there!
Is tug like these to take out ships from port like the DALI SO IT WOULD BE SAFE
