Hi Rosalie! Yes, you did this one justice. Tuomas continues his growth as a composer and poet looking at subjects very few composers or songwriters would go near, and even fewer so profoundly.
Tuomas considers this song to be the core of the new album (only 3 weeks to wait now until The Day Of it's release) and since he has described Yesterwynde as ultimately optimistic, your interpretation of that was well made.
    Thanks as always.

Wow! Thanks for this reaction Rosalie. Lots to think of and to talk about. I do understand that this kind of music and video's is not every bodies cup of tea. But lately, I enjoy listening to music with a massage, with lots of thoughts to consider, more than listening to all the love songs. I have nothing against the love songs, I am just thinking that there is so much more to sing about.

Tuomas said about this song: Floor at first is acting to be the preacher of fear, then the kids saying how things really should be and in the last chorus they join and that’s where the magic happens.
The children’s choir gives a great twist and balance to the song.
Like stated before in Weak Fantasy:
Fear is a choice you embrace!

The message is relativ clearly laid out for us by Tuomas. The end is not near, but 'The End is Fear!' Indeed throughout the ages fearmongering was ever present, but mankind is still here. This album is a continuation of the previous one 'Human # Nature' where Tuomas is commenting on various forms of human behaviour with the songs 'Music'; 'Noise'; 'Pan'; 'How's the Heart' and 'Tribal'.

Thanks for sharing your insightful reaction to a song that gets better & better with each listen, which is something that defines greatness in songwriting. The composer, Tuomas Holopainen, has said that this song is his take against all the fear mongering that plaugues main stream media these days. It's a form of mind control to keep the masses of ordinary people in line with official narratives of the ruling class.

Nightwish Army, Scottish Highland Divison, another great reaction, the best review I've seen thus far. Basically, it's a retort to the doom and gloom merchants and sadly those people who believe all this stuff that the end of the world is nigh, obvious references, the end of the Mayan calendar, the War of the World's, Y2K and many many more. Tuomas has said it a song of hope and the lyrical and visual references are all in there, it's very thought provoking which I presume is what Tuomas was hoping for. I've seen Nightwish several times, including their last two show's at Kitee and Vassa in Finland last summer, they are a truly remarkable band. All incarnations of the band are special but when Floor joined it took them to a whole new level, her range is phenomenal from operatic to a death growl, she's at home singing in any genre and is also a humble and caring human being. By the way, did you notice Floor's silhouette while she is flying around in the video, you can clearly see her baby bump! At the first public showing of the video at the Helsinki Metal Festival a few week's ago, director Stobe Harju, who was there with band member's, Kai and Jukka joked that no animals or pregnant women were harmed in the making of the video.

This is the second single of the new upcoming album Yesterwynde, which will be released 20th of september. Tuomas announced that this single will have a typical 80ies vibe which it definitely has. I hear influences clearly by Pink Floyds The Wall and Queens The Wall. In the chorus right after the instrumental part - which is a great remark on typical Nightwish power - and Choir I hear Agneta from ABBA in Floors voice.
Story has elements of George Orwells 1984 and the video also is directing this way.
Over all you need to hear it several times - like mostly in Nightwish songs - to get the full enjoyment with it.
After 5 times watching I was addicted!
    Greetings from Germany!

Rosalie My impression is the room at the begining is a post modern Plato's "The Cave". The people in the cave made me think of COVOD 19 lock down yes. All "the Days of..." begin with the Y2K. The over arching theme is the powers that be are playing up the fear to control the masses,1984. The end flying off into space has two interpretations,1) the 1% get off the planet and everyone else is here in the junkyard, 2) Everyone in a nightmare flying off into the abyss the void of space. However if you look close there are signs of new beginings the child planting and later holding a rose. Leading you to think we can wake from the nightmare.

1:04 "Bands like Nightwish often do put clames on their videos"
I have never heard from any reactor that Nightwish has ever blocked their videos.
I remember there was only one disgusting reactor calling himself "Tank The Tech", who gained subscribers with reactions to Nightwish, and then at some point when he became really popular, released a video where he bashed Nightwish for demonetizing his reactions and not allowing him to earn money on Nightwish. 🤯 When he faced backlash from fans, he stopped making reactions to Nightwish and since then, in all interviews or podcasts with him, he's been spreading a new story that Nightwish didn't just demonetize reactions to his videos, but blocked or striked them. What a pathetic .... !

Inside all bubbles is of people who believe sometihing is coming; then those who believe that somehing is targeting their people, inside that:something is targetin this community, inside this: something is targeting this group, inside this: something is targetin my family, inside this: something is targeting me...

Great analysis! I think Tuomas/Nightwish/Auri has done great music about the beauty of ateism, critisism towards institutional religions, the New Age related music (Auri) and about the satanic New World Order agenda, which frightens most of us. Orweil's1984 was at first in 2000, then in 2012, which really is now, in 2024, if you know what I mean.

As far as I know, the Nightwish band members like reaction channels. The problems are with the label and those who own distribution rights. When bands sign contracts, they're handing over a lot of control to the labels etc.
Also consider that RUclips algorithms do they're own thing. I bought a lot of royalty free music and can't use most of it as YT bots hit my videos with copyright claims on royalty free music! From what we can tell, Nuclear Blast Records can be fussy, but Napalm Records seems to be more relaxed with reaction videos.

I don't remember any of the reactors complaining that Nightwish or their label was blocking their reactions. A few years ago, there was a case when someone blocked reactions to "The Poet and the Pendulum" for a while, but then it turned out that some rapper used the intro of that song and his label claimed it as their own music - but then the problem was resolved pretty quickly and they stopped blocking it.

    • @SokolRock
      @SokolRock 4 месяца назад +1

@@billattercliffe8655 Tank the Tech made a video complaining that Nightwish demonetize his reactions, not block them. But why did he decide that reactors have the right to make money just by admiring someone else's intellectual property? Reactors, contrary to their common misconception, do not popularize any bands, they "preach to believers": To make sure, it's enough to look at the number of views - the main audience of popular artists almost never goes to less known artists' reactions, they are always different audiences.
As for Tank the Tech, to justify himself, he then began to lie to everyone that his Nightwish reactions were blocked, but this contradicts what he said in his original video, which means a blatant lie.
Other than from Tank, I've never heard of Nightwish blocking or striking anyone (except for that ridiculous case with the rapper I mentioned earlier).

Because the vast majority of them start reaction channels just to try to make money or draw attention to their other business activities. Lesser known artists don't bring them views and therefore are not interesting to them. And as I said in another thread here, reaction videos don't popularize artists: Most of those who came for Nightwish will not go to see how the same person reacts to Delain, Moonlight Haze or Elvellon - although all these bands are really good.
