I want to thank you as well! Interesting how many people got the same problem.
Bonus tip: The pressure with hands on the flex cable worked for me only for two days. And when I tried your tips nothing happened. I almost bought a new sub board and then I cleaned both connectors on this flex cable you mentioned with alcohol and a toothbrush and then the pressure worked again. The connection is really poor, the upper part of this flex cable (closer to camera) causes that the power button doesn't work. So when you remove the plastic in the upper part this button won't work for you. Pressure on both sides of this cable needed!
Thank you for this video !!!
All I needed to do was to put pressure on that 1 spot, you saved me money and time.
Good. Same helped me here!!👌🏼💯
Did you find that successful for how many days?
god dammit I did this and it worked thank you so much!
@@rohi1255 A week until I decided to open my phone and put a piece of electrical tape on top of the connectors. Works just fine since.
Thanks you !!! That was that for me too, just needed to press that point, you're a boss !
I have a very good tip for everyone with the same problem. I had the same problem, I guess the ribbon cable wasn't connected well. Instead of going through this whole process, I tried putting the phone glass side down on a table and start pushing on the back thoroughly and with a lot of force. The back is flexible and I guess I also applied pressure on the ribbon cable connectors through the back of the phone. When I tried charging again, it worked like a charm! The whole process took 10 seconds! At the same time, I could not have thought about trying this without this video as it revealed the possible issue and location of the ribbon cable, so a big thanks to MST!
Thank you for your words and for sharing with others.
God bless you
Is your fix became permanent?

It worked for me too with 4 layers of insulating type cut to size. Yay! After repair, the battery on my son's phone had been run flat so I slow charged it up to 15% with a battery pack and then plugged the official charger in and it turbo charged up to 100% in about an hour. Fortunately I'd repaired my daughter's Honor 9 Lite a few times (screen replacements) so I had all the parts I needed including the T7000 glue. Thank you so much for this video.
That's great , my pleasure
I have the same problem, how do I do fast charging?
Fixed it. The lower (USB) board didn't make contact with the connector.
I used some 1-2mm rubber with adhesive on it.
Before: clean the connectors with isopropyl alcohol and compressed air.
Using AccuBattery measure over 5A of current at charging.
L.E.: The phone still works as new! It passes about a year now, and it's still strong. Turbocharge works nice.
I had issues charging that appeared the day after upgrading to miui 14. Was kind of thinking about planned obsolescence and I stumbled upon this video that made me realize what was the issue.
Thank you so much. I love this phone.
You are the best !!! Before 1 week i had the same problem with my Poco f2 Pro. When I asked the technical from MI service store about the fixed cost, he told me: "...the cost for repair the charging problem it is €50". I followed the instruction from your video and I repair my phone in a half hour and without cost 😃😃😃
Thank you man.
Anytime bro
Nice work, man! 👍🏼
Just saved my phone myself after three tech shops denied looking into this phone. Thank you MST!
Anytime
Every technician I took it to was clueless on what to do. A waste of my money.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have the same problem and like you, I put pressure on every corner and then the charging works. I guess is because I dropped it a couple times and something inside must have gone loose. Lol. Thanks buddy, you save my phone with this video. God bless!
My pleasure
God bless you
Thank you for this' i was looking at vids to see why my phone was not charging. Then i tried what you said at start of video. I put presure on certain spots on the phone and it started charging i was litrally looking at new phones as well you just saved me £600+ thanks dude

used this to figure out how to get it charging again, pressing in bottom fixes it ... i'm sure it wont last, but at least i have a fully charged phone for another day
Edit:
Did the full fix with layers of electrical tape and it's been working fine for a few weeks now
Update?
@@martalialiem2095 still working! Seems to have sorted it for good
Hey, my phone also have this problem, im currently finding for metal and tape for the board step, how did you do the step?
@@angellee9999 I justed used about 5 layers of electrical tape, nothing else
Wow my Poco F2 Pro has been dead for about 2 years now. I pushed in the place where he said and suddenly I got some lights. Wish I'd known about this when he did this. I could have shown it to the expert technician who was clueless on how to fix it. Not sure I'll continue to try to fix it since it's been so long. I am tempted though because I still kind of miss it. Pretty sad Poco couldn't figure out how to fix there own freaking phones though.
Thank you for sharing the info! I got the same problem. :( And it came in the worst time as it was the case with others. :/
works fine the solution, i pressure the metal pad with a piece of simcard... then works perfect the fast charge.
this worked, now waitng 2 months for the back cover tape. all my friends are just laughing at the mod :D but it works beautifully
Good brah
Mine waited 4 years to do this bad thing to me, even though it was well used, a lot of falls, including two broken rear windows.
In short, I put 4 small pieces of Schaterton tape between the plastic part of the speaker and the connection of the cable to support it, my device was able to charge again easily
I knew there was a known charging problem but I was never interested since I didn't have a problem, I thought it would be necessary to change parts or resolder something, but no it was easy and free ☺️
Thank you very much!!!! It solved the problem for me. It was a very simple fix with the added pressure to the flex cable. Let's see if it fails in the future, but for now is very reassuring that the charging problem had a very simple explanation. Really liked your method on figuring that out. By the way, the adhesive on mine was a bit excessive and that made me doubt if it were to work out in the end, I had to apply heat for a good 5 mins in the entire edges of the phone until the cover was able to break apart with a bit of force.
My pleasure
Have to say thank you, my phone had exactly same problem, now fixed.
My pleasure
i have the same problem, i don't understand how the connection is not good one day ... But it works fine, thank you !
My pleasure
hey thanks for uploading this video! It really solved my problem, spent hundreds by repairing but none of the shop could detect the problem. Thanks a bunch!
My pleasure
hi! my phone have the same problem 2days ago then i saw this vid and tried to press the lower part of the phone and it works! seems like it is really the same problem as yours thanks a lot i have now the details of the problem
Anytime bro
Thanks. This really saved me - although my phone now only charges to 87% and I'm not sure why but it won't go above that. Poor design from Xiaomi considering how common this problem appears to be from the comments.
My pleasure
Thank you! It works for me too.
I peeled off the shell with a small microwaveable pillow heater.
my poco f2 pro had the same problem and just done this. i think it works ! great ! thanks.
My pleasure
tq so much for your video bro... now my phone already can charging like usually.. may god bless you...
Very appreciated

Love you bro, my phone have the same prob, i just have press on screen and backside, and now my phone charge again 👍
That's nice bro

Tq so much.. my poco f2 pro "dead" almost 1 & 1/2 year. today.. i almost throw it away. for the last hope, i try to check online solution untill i saw your video tutorial. turn out, i have same problem with that unit. i apply pressure to that connector, and my phone charging. 🥰 now its work again & i decide to give it to my father. tq so much for ur tutorial. 🙏🏼
My pleasure
Thank u very much for the video! I have applied the same solution and it's working well
Ok did you do it by yourself?
With all the items he used?
@@ll3yWanTeD Yeah bro, first I checked that after pressing the phone was charging. I had to improvise a little with the metal piece lol
On my phone was same situation, that trick was help to me, thanks my friend 😂
Anytime bro
I fixed it like you showed and it works for me as well, so thank you! The only problem is that it now charges very slowly on a normal charger (a full night gives me ~50% charge at 5W) and it gets very hot on a fast charger, do you have an idea what it could be?
You can replace both sub board and flex cable
Thank you!! This is such a helpful information 😢 my phone is not charging right now because of the same situation
My pleasure
I placed a porous material, which is little spongy with the exact same way and it's still working fine after few days.
Worked like a charm! Thanks a lot. Now my Poco is charging again without any problems. Saved me a lot of money. Still a good daily phone!
My pleasure
Thank you so much 🥰
Just finished from my phone disconnected the cable and reconnected it and now charging works great.
My pleasure
Thanks, i have the same problem with my poco F2 Pro.
But, can i know what tools you use to heat dan remove back cover?
Heating station kada 858d+
i just put a plate on my stove and use the lowest heat, than place the phone on it and youre good. cant recommend with a gas stove though
So after 19 months my Poco started having the same problem - I followed this instruction - 3 layers of tape - and it worked - thank you so much!
Anytime dear
The same thing happened to me exactly 19 months of using the phone
for me after 21 months. but it is fixed now with some electric tape :D
Wtf 21 months for me too 🤯
Same here lol almost 2 years
Thank's for your video after 26 month with my f2 pro i was thinking about buying a new one, now is charging again.
But now i don't know why the vibrator make a very loud sound like a Cicada.
You may forget to put some screws if you open it .
@@mstphone nope every hole has his screw I check few times.
I really don't understand even if i Push on the vibrator and activate it, it make very loud sound..
If this so, then the vibrator got damaged
I did this, saved a couple bucks hehehe

Nice one!
@@mstphone It saved me getting a new phone also, thank you!
Thanks for the solution! I was able to test it by pressing on the back, it works but it's a bit random.
I'd like to repair your video, but I don't have any equipment apart from a precision screwdriver. Does the hair dryer solution really work?
Also, can you advise me on a dismantling kit and the type of glue to use to replace the rear shell?
Thanks in advance! :)

@mstphone Finally, I did the trick, the phone switches to fast charging, but the battery doesn't want to charge any more... T_T
So I ordered a new third-party battery on Amazon (impossible to find an original battery unfortunately), I installed it, it's at 9%. I plugged in the charger, it went from 9% to 1% in 2 minutes and the phone switched off, so I couldn't charge it any more...

Same...i face that problem 3days ago. Already replace the charging board but face the same problem also after 3days. I think the technition use a cheap spare part for my phone.
@@didisenpai5562 Bro you don't need to change the charging board/port, just replace the flat connector cable with a NEW one.
Yea do that also
Yeah, me too. 4 years
Got it more than a year ago, put a plastic piece in the right place, and until today is working fine, soon will replace the battery and board with internal battery connection
Hi MST,
Thanks a lot for your video.
I followed every step but it didn't work. I also replaced the flex cable and the charger board with no luck.
I have a question about the tape/sticker that you are holding at 11:09. Unfortunately, I cut that in half when I was opening the back panel. Can it cause the problem not resolving after doing the steps? And how to replace it if it's important.
Thanks a lot.
Hi bro, no this is not related, its just a heat resistant tape
Try pressing on these connectors while changing, see if start charging, also it could your battery goes under 3.3v , if that happens the phone can't start charging, also it could be related to charging ic problem !
@@mstphone Thank you so much, bro. I have ordered a new battery. Hopefully it will do the job for me.

Hello, Qestion when therse that paper or smth 1angle is to main system and one to second I switched it ant it charges then but qeastion is it ok ? please answer fast as can becuse dont know if it wont blow up or smth :D
I didn't understand the issue, explain again
@@mstphone In video 6:22 The black stripe if I swap it conect to another is charging the phone, but doesn't it hurt or explode? thats what i wanna know is it ok if i switch it up?
No don't swap that, you should be able to see the direction arrow of that flex cable.
Warning!!! You are not supposed to take the camera cover off! It should remain on the phone!! Other than that, this tutorial was helpful and did fix the issue, or so far it seems. But there is some foam that seems to prevent bleed light and moisture from getting into cameras, which you are going to damage if you don´t leave the glass on the phone, meaning if you do what they did on the vid.
I don't think i did something wrong, but if you believe so, you can point which seconds you have question about !
How would you want to remove the back glass without removing the camera cover which is the same unique piece ?

My issue is i plug the phone in, press the screen at where the top of the flex cable is located the light at the pop up charge will glow red but it wont charge. Im confused to which part of is the issue, flex cable or sub board?
