Another great job! As a lifetime RC flyer from age 19 to about 15 years ago, I am now a young 70, I am once again looking to pick it up again in my retirement. I love large scale flying planes with my favorite being a Rascal 110 that I modified with flaps before Sig ever thought about it. You could literally pick it out of the air on full flaps with a little head wind I ran a 25cc gasser on it. Never had a electric powered plane. Good news on the electronics ….. I sold all mine when I got out some 15 years ago. I have so much to learn, especially on the electronics, and find your videos informative even though I don’t understand some of your terminology since it didn’t exist when I got out. I'm wanting to purchase a new battery charger, and I would like to know which one would be a good choice for me. I only have three planes right now, and each one came with their own cheap charger. I would like to have good charger with multiple functions, but I don't have a lot of money to spend. I absolutely love your channel and I'm so glad you guys have those detailed, in depth teaching ones. It's like I'm addicted, I watch some of them over and over, I might rewind but I don't fast forward through any. You and "camera crew" are awesome. I love how you guys are just being yourselves. Don't ever think any of your videos are too long, they sure are not.
Thanks for the kinds words, and if you want our suggestion for charger, here's my REAL advice. As you know, we have a bunch of awesome chargers, but we almost always go for the S2200. It's NOT cheap. Channel mixing - yes, of course. Are you forgetting about the Reflex V2 out there in the plane, on the other end of the Rx. This is why the simple mixing won't make this work. You would have to bypass the Reflex V2 - unless I've missed something???
@@BrianPhillipsRC can you split the flaps and put one flap on an aux channel then slave the aux channel to what ever channel the flaps on and reverse the aux channel to match ?
Hey Brian, just a suggestion, I use scissors to open most of my packages, bags, tape etc. It is a lot more controlled and safe than your hacking utility knife.
@@BrianPhillipsRC No worries. Tell me was yours a ARF because I see according to the manual and the description it does not come with motor or ESC and I see yours did?

Great video. I enjoyed the total length. My first look at Lemon Receivers. Nice option to have. Definitely a cheaper price point. Just a personal preference of what bells and whistles you like. Very well done video. Thank you both very much.
Glad it was helpful! LemonRx is my only real preferred alternative to Spektrum Rx...we've used others, but have had some bad luck with other brands...LemonRx has been good for us.
"Better" fliers? That's somewhat subjective, but I would say, they tend to be a bit better, since you CAN make them light, but also you can make them hold up better in certain ways..but then again, you can make them blow up in a million pieces easier too ;) It's all a trade off, but net value is on Balsa Wood planes, since they tend to be longer lasting, and more permanently serviceable, but they are a bit more expensive, as they should be. Hope this helps!
Set your wing up in the TX for four servos and use 7 channels thats what i did. I can do split flaps/ ailerons or full span and crow. Not that big a deal. Otherwise good job.
check out Kavan pneumatic wheels. 4" and 5", come with 5mm and 6mm collars, so no drilling. 5" DuBro weigh 1.06lbs (pair). The Kavan weigh 0.58lbs for the pair. I have only found them down the road from you in Montezuma - from Sig Mfg. Have for my 2.1M Cessna (not installed, still learning to fly.
Why not just use the $3 servo reverse adapter cable for one of the flaps? In all of my rc paramotor speedbar with 2 servos, I have to use 1 adapter mentioned above.
Where did you find the instructions? Also need specs for servos and motor requirements. I like to install the best quality electronics I can afford. Lastly , why not let your wife or child do a build to show how easy it can be. Keep up the good work!
The instructions were on the site. You can just follow our link, and supplemental stuff is there, including parts specs etc. We have this link at the top of each video, so it's easy to find... bprc.me/bushmaster
@BrianPhillipsRC , yes you are correct. I didn't clearly state my suggestion. A simpler plane would work best. I must have missed the link. Thank you for your time and efforts. Have a wonderful day!
When the bottle is no longer usable put the tops in acetone for a couple of days, cover, swish around a couple of times at a reasonable interval, and clean out the tips. They work like new!!!
Bob Smith industries makes the best epoxy I've ever used. They have 5 minute and 15 minute epoxy. I've used jb weld clear 2 part epoxy, loctite 2 part epoxy, one other brand, and then I tried Bob Smith industries and haven't used anything else since. Very good product, once it is set, it's bonded to whatever for good. What kinda CA glue is that you use Brian?
Hey Brian! Great job as usual. I've got this plane in my cart from your link. Almost ready to pull the trigger. Was wondering if there was an option for floats? I checked the website, but didn't see anything. I suppose a guy could always throw the DuBro skis on it for some snow ops. Thanks any info, keep up the great work!

They really are great! Love them, but wish I could force the stabilizer ON with dip switch setting, in stead of wasting channel 5 ;( I know they do it for people with simpler tx'es, but I want to be able to just use Channel 8 for master gain, and keep 5 freed up for another useful application, like RETRACTS, for example ;)
Sorry Brian, I love your videos, but this one with the Lemon receiver was way over my head. Very confusing! I'm just a novice so I'm sure that this has a lot to do with it. Maybe it would've been easier to understand with the Spectrum equipment that you normally use. fingers crossed1
