I was like "where's Sylvan Safekeeper?" But Wirewood Symbiote does the same job
13:07 you can use quirion to bounce and replay forest, giving you 2 mana t2 btw (hand was definitely keepable). Love the elves gameplay, fav tribe finally getting some love.
Saw that and instantly looked for this comment. Go team Elves!
16:21 Like you're saying the Wire wood symbiote
Does make it more skill intensive.
No hoof?! This is pleasant kenobi isn’t it?
I just wasn't sure whether it was worth it, and might be clunky instead of Ezuri just being a synergistic Elf with Heritage Druid.
@@PleasantKenobi I agree it’s probably better. But I love a big hoofy boy
@@PleasantKenobi you have to put a single hoof instead of an ezuri for the gamble play that they do not expect you to have, is it less consistent... True Possibility.... Will it increase the odds of dropping the big boy and win ... Absolutely
Tyvar is pretty good too. He brings back your pieces, and allows priest to tap immediately. There are some cool interactions between symbiote and multiple priests as well.
I know that MODO is a huge barrier of entry, but it's the best way to play MTG online.
That would be cockatrice
Your intro is hella facts
No Cavern of Souls? Can skip some amount of fetches/shocks for 2 or so. Saves life and counterspells but I guess doesn't bounce to untap with Quiron
We can probably fit one. But our land count is very low, so it's not as clear cut. Doesn't cast Wirewood, doesn't activate Quirion.
Is there a guide out there for replacement cards that aren’t on arena but could replace missing cards?
I need this!
@@Yvon-I have these modern cards now and every modern deck I find has cards missing from arena. When I ask about timeless, I get the answer play grief scam lol
honestly most of these cards are on arena, ive been grinding timeless ranked and have run into the elf deck a few times, it seems really powerful!
The fucking mooing killed me. Great shit. Love the game play too.
Windows 98 is great vibe lol
You should do golgari adapt recursion featuring new Grist, Chthonian nightmare and primal prayers. I played it during prerelease and I think it might be viable.
Now try the same deck but with the inclusion of Purphoros, God of the Forge and a few Elvish Promenades. I used to run a similar deck back in 2013 (way before Heritage Druid was cool in Modern) and I had decent results. It might be time to rebuild the deck.
i was so surprised you managed to win game 1, especially on 1 land!
The deck is VERY sweet.
Why doesn‘t the deck play Cards like Craterhoof? I used to play the old version of this deck a couple years ago. And chord of calling usually focused on just getting that with the shitton of mana you have very quickly
Because having an 8 drop in your deck that you can't cast unless you're winning is a lot worse than having a 3 drop with an overrun activated ability that you can fetch whenever you want and cast off your Eladamri.
@@uruigi i guess that makes sense. I think I just used to see Ezuri as a strictly worse win condition to Craterhoof, but could be I was just not as experienced playing the deck. All the added new cards seem amazing tho.
This deck generates so much mana, Ezuri is basically the same.
Wonder if Julian is finally gonna try modern now.
Why did you not use vigor target scion and leyline?
Scion had Hexproof, thanks to its own rules text.
Wait is Symbiote in Modern now?
Yep
@@PleasantKenobi Legacy here we come 🤣

Could you please put a little more effort in trying to be understandable to non-uk natives? Thank you
