This car is in really good condition. Nice review as well. Keep up the good work mate. Here is Australia, you can find some good examples but they are getting very expensive.
Yes, it's in lovely condition. The owner has had it over 30 years, and has really looked after it. I was extremely privileged to have driven one of these! Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting.
Lovely Christmas present from you Sir. Have a lovely break, and look forward to your exploits in 2022! Will be wearing one of my many tweed jackets with pride!
An exceptional Tweed Jacket Review Mr. Joseph Lloyd! My 6th grade replacement teacher had a brown 260Z 2+2 automatic who was forever getting speeding tickets! Interesting to hear that this was one model year only in the US! These rust just like anything from Japan during that decade, so very rare indeed. And secondary gagues were canted towards the driver for greater visibility. Merry Christmas to yourself and your lovely wife!
Yes, these are quite fast with very good handling for the time. Not surprised about those speeding tickets. I imagine these must be very rare in America as they were only sold in 1974. Oh yes, these things rust like anything, Stuart's one has been with him since 1990, probably why it has survived so well. Merry Christmas to you too!
Merry Christmas Sir, and what a review, certainly missed a tweed jacket review. Another amazing car in this amazing collection and I do like a z car. Well done to yourself and Mr Bill for this Christmas special.
Well sir, thanks to your channel membership, as well as that of others, hopefully we will be able to afford to make more of these in 2022. The collection isn't over yet either! Mr Bill did indeed do a fantastic job on this.
Hope everyone enjoyed this video as much as I did making it! It was freezing on the day of filming but worth it for the car seen here. It is gorgeous! Stuart is a lucky man to have this in his collection.
Oh sir, it was really cold, wasn't it? Nevertheless you did an excellent job, and it has come out really well. As you say, the condition of this car is absolutely ridiculous, like everything else Stuart owns.
Thank you, sir! It is thanks to channel members like you and other supporters that we hope to do more of these in 2002. That music seems to have a similar effect on many people...
Thank you, sir! Hope you are enjoying your channel membership so far. Indeed, this is the sort of thing we can do if we put our minds to it, a very different experience from No Budget Reviews! Mr Bill did a superb job.
In the immortal words of Mr Adrian Dunbar, " Now you're suckin diesel, " Mr Lloyd. What a beautiful car and in amazing condition. I knew a council worker who ran one in about 1987. It was on an S plate, so 1977/78, I believe. It was either yellow or orange but it was always so dirty that it was hard to tell. The chap never drove the 260 Z faster than 45 mph but that didn't matter because it looked every inch a thoroughbred sports car with its faded Mag alloy wheels. So low and sleek with that amazing soundtrack. I bet he wishes he still had her. Merry Merry Christmas to Mr Franks and yourself in that fine Tweed Jacket.
Oh sir, these 260Zs are very rare now. Like everything else in Stuart's collection, it is in amazing condition, and he has had it for absolutely ages. The soundtrack is rather good... Mr Franks wasn't around for this one, so Mr Bill stepped in.
Love the auxiliary gauges in the angled centre dash and the rev counter and Speedo recessed into tunnels behind the wheel. Very 70s with all that vinyl I would agree but it's a 70s car at the end of the day. I expect it would have felt very special driving away in that car when it was first registered.
Great stuff! Aunt had on in the early 80s RDK 777S, 0-60 in 8 is not bad at all, there was plenty of room in the back......................well i was only about 7!
Yes, 0-60 mph in 8 seconds was very good in 1976. If I had been seven, then I would have found the rear seats most commodious. Thank you again for watching, sir!
A sporty car from a era when the Ford Capri was very much the default choice for those seeking a vehicle of this style and price. I expect that few of those who opted for the Z car regretted their choice all things considered, but if memory serves Datsun's of this era were quite as capable of rapidly disintegrating into a untidy pile of ferrous oxide as anything else was. A nice rare and interesting car to have today though.
I think one of the reasons why Datsun changed their name to Nissan may have been because of the reputation for rust in this country and other places. Mind you, rust aside, they were making some great cars, and this was their flagship model at the time along with the Cedric/Gloria/260C. I think many of these would have been owned by very happy people indeed!
Great update as usual Joseph, love the new intro format. A UK supplied original 260Z, wow that must be so, so rare and original to have survived. This guys collection of Japanese cars must be totally unrivalled in scope and condition. I’d love to hear the back story of some of these cars too, how did they survive so well?
Thank you, sir! We first trialled the new title sequence in May, although I don't think many people necessarily noticed it then. This is an extremely rare car, Stuart has had it for over 30 years. He is a man without compromise in terms of the condition of his cars, some of them he has not had long, some of them have been his pride and joy for a long time like this Datsun. We aren't finished yet, either!

Oh sir, we haven't finished with this collection yet... Got one more to come in 2022. Merry Christmas to you as well.
What a cracking car.
There's actually still one in Stuart's collection to come which I like even more...

Thank you Mr Lloyd , that was special , a superb tweed jacket .
It was indeed a special review, sir! We were very blessed with this.
Wonderful video! This was an unexpected surprise!
Been holding it back for a while, sir, yesterday seemed like an appropriate time to release it. We haven't quite finished Stuart's collection either!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting The driving footage was excellent!
@@alaricbragg7843 , Mr Bill did an excellent job, sir...

Superb automobile, filmed exquisitely.
Many thanks to Stuart, Mr Lloyd and the Tweed Jacketed film & editing team. 🥂

@@lloydvehicleconsulting I certainly am, proud to be a member 😊
Compliments to Mr Bill!
Fantastic review Joseph. Pete 🇬🇧
Thank you, sir! Glad you enjoyed it.

@@lloydvehicleconsulting excellent colleagues that you have to reply upon.
Of course you know. This means, watch the E Type review again.
Health and happy Christmas to You and your family, Sir. Oh, and a lot of great, great cars. Like this Datsun, for example.
Thank you, sir! Merry Christmas to you as well. This 260Z is indeed a great car, although those fixed seat belts were quite irritating.
Now here's why I don't like SUVs... You just can't Woollard comfortably unless you're double jointed.
Not sure about that, sir! It was almost impossible to Woollard on this 260Z without falling over....
Oh yes please! That is magnificent how on earth has that survived, what a credit to the owner
Yes, the owner has had for over 30 years, probably why it has survived. We did very much enjoy this one, although not a fan of those fixed seatbelts!

@@lloydvehicleconsulting We certainly do sir, way better than any touch screen.

What an absolutely beautiful car! 😃 Enjoyed this very much. I would also choose a Z car over a Jaguar E-Type. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it, sir! The 260Z is indeed a very good looking car, and much rarer than an E-Type.
A sporty car from a era when the Ford Capri was very much the default choice for those seeking a vehicle of this style and price. U look seriously suited to that cabin interior mother
I think the era from which we have had many quotes in the past on Tweed Jacket Reviews is the era where this car firmly belongs!
Would love to drive smell this Z
It was marvellous, sir! I was very blessed to have had a go in it.
Have missed a bit of tweed jacketness
You aren't the only one, sir! There is another one ready to edit as well.
