I just LOVE all that I learn from you. You take the simplest of approach and it winds up looking so complicated but it's freeing! Are you going to be sharing your stitch collage process?
Thanks! You can learn how to make the stitched collages with Colleen Attara in her Tiny Sacred Journals course here: colleenattara.teachable.com/p/making-tiny-sacred-art-journals I have been asked about the tracing paper. Stay tuned for a tutorial. 😊
Thanks so very much, Nat!! I really appreciate your kindness. I won't be teaching the how to on the stitched collages as I learned that from someone else. Thanks for sharing this Roben! I find your process interesting and appreciate how you provided balance to your spread as you worked through it. Love your sewn collages using the Solvay (?). Need to try that for sure.
I don't like the way you made the left page at all. You have ruined this wonderful old text by putting over it this transparent colored page and the black and white elements which, in my opinion, do not match at all.😢
I happen to think it's lovely. That's the beauty of art and the artist eye. We all have different approaches and opinions. What one thinks is ruined another find magical. You are certainly entitled to your opinion but so is this artist. It is alot of work to make videos and share techniques with the world. Sometimes we see a technique and its not our preference. Other times we are inspired as I was with this video. Sometimes for the sake of artistry and the betterment of the artist it is better to be a silent observer. 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and share your thoughts. I appreciate hearing different perspectives on creativity. While I understand that my approach may not resonate with everyone, I believe that creativity is deeply personal and subjective. It's what makes the artistic journey so rich and diverse. I'm sorry to hear that the left page didn't appeal to your taste, but I'm grateful for your feedback nonetheless. I hope you can find inspiration elsewhere that aligns more closely with your preferences. 😊🎨
Sometimes I find some of the choices of the artist (any artist, not just Roben-Marie) not of my likes, but that is the what makes it even more special, because seeing the choices other artists make, give me other ideas and fuels my inspiration to create a piece that is trully mine. ❤
Wondering why would you feel the need to offer these unkind observations without considering the tenor of your comments and how they might affect the artist or other viewers?
I really LOVE this Roben-Marie!! Thanks for Sharing it with us!! VERY YUMMY!! 🥰🌛🌝🌜🌞
