Was surfing and came across your video. You might want to try Red Robin or Tom Thumb tomatoes, They are a self pollinating cherry tomato. The plants grow ~12" high and have a bushy habit rather than growing all over the place. This makes them perfect for growing indoors. The only draw back is that they only produce fruit for two to three weeks (although I have had them produce longer.) You can find the seeds on Amazon or Ebay. You might want to try some spinach, goes great in a salad. I start them on a damp paper towel in a baggy as the seeds are hard to germinate.
Thanks, I have been trying to figure out which unit to get. I just saw your review of the Aero Garden, the Gardyn, and this one. I have a small AeroGarden, and just got an iDOO (which is really the same thing lol). Anyway, thank you 😊
Thank you very much for your review. I'm from the UK. I plan to get the Click and Grow 9, Aerogarden Bounty Elite and West Kent growing systems. I have grown cherry tomatoes from seed on my kitchen sill and when the plants grow too tall and I had to move them to my bedroom and which ended up growing over 5ft, which I had to tie up and they were grown in a pot with compost and it took about that time. 50-55 days to get flowers and then another month to get fruit and another month to ripen. I used an electric toothbrush for the tomatoes. I also grew strawberries from seed in compost, I tried the strawberries plants, but I didn't have much success, but with the strawberry seeds, very good success and electric toothbrush, a small makeup brush and a small fan. I got fruit. There are other dwarf variety tomatoes you could try, such as Tiny Tim, Balcony Red, Balcony Yellow etc, maybe you could try a non-circulating method to grow your tomatoes, known as kratky hydroponics.
My chives I think are doing good. I did see where others wipe off the mold and sprinkle cinnamon over the exposed part of the pod. I don’t see where I could post picture of my chives in here.
Hi, do you ever wash your systems in the dishwasher? I really hate handwashing mine and wondering if these are dishwasher safe. It says yes on their website but wanted to see if someone has actually done it a few times successfully with no warping!
I haven't, but I'm sure it would be fine. I don't clean it very carefully- it's not like I'm eating out of it. A quick swish with a sponge and a rinse and I call it good enough.

Just want to say as I'm looking for one for my wife. Your content is great!
Thanks for the detailed pros and cons that you included in your video. I will take a closer look at your recommended system.

Could you move the lettuce into the garden or a bigger container outside the system?
Thank you! Very helpful
Great video. Thank you for sharing! 🙂

@@NanLovesFood You're welcome.
Very helpful thank you so much!!!
Great review! I have one question. Did you leave all sprouts in the pod or prick out to leave just one?
My chives I think are doing good. I did see where others wipe off the mold and sprinkle cinnamon over the exposed part of the pod. I don’t see where I could post picture of my chives in here.
Interesting! I'll definitely look into doing that with the cinnamon! Thank you!
Thanks for doing this! With everything going on I was looking at this. But I need to know the basics of gardening 😆
That's the beauty of this thing! You literally don't need to know anything about gardening and can be successful!
My plant pods eventually got choked by roots I’m guessing. Food did not help.

Does it raise your electric bill much?
I haven't noticed any increase at all. It's really just a few extra lights.
