I have never used freestyle. So I wouldn’t hate to comment but QLC+ has met all of my needs.

QLC+ is way better than freesyler. But I have discovered my DAW Flstudio beats them all, its so simple it has just 512 channels , single universe but the ease of use is worth it. All you need to know is what each channel in the light does. And with FLstudio drawable automation you just draw it in to sync with the music, You also don't have to set up fixtures other than just setting your channels on the fixture its self. But yeah if you don't use a DAW when your doing your shows QLC+ is great. Freesystler would be great but I found it to be glitchy, like I was setting up a laser fixture changed tabs for a sec and it erased all the info I put in. Then I switched to QLC+ liked it but couldn't figure out how to sync it to BPM, and then I tried FLstudio which is my DAW and I am set

Hi Jason, I was using ableton at the time of the video but I have since switched to Reaper. Reaper has the ability to output lots of OSC messages which can then be consumed by an application such as TouchOSC. Once a given message is consumed by TouchOSC, scriptin within TouchOSC can then pass a custom message to another device on the network. I have implemented this in my workflow. If you are running on a mac take a look here: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\OSC
