In recent interviews Su says she almost never accepted Yui leaving even after it was official. She says that every time she sings Starlight she always thinks of Yui💖
There's a kadokawa magazine with interviews from Su and Moa and Su said that when they made starlight, she automatically would think of Yui. To this day she said everytime they perform it she always thinks about how it would be if Yui were there dancing beside her. Hurts big time💔💔
Part of why Yui's Tomato-kun voice is so funny is that she's speaking so formally when she does it. The stuff she's saying like "24 days until graduation" and "the time has passed so quickly" are things that you often hear idols say when giving a heartfelt eloquent speech to their fans (the heavily formalized speech reflects the sincerity). Honestly, idols say stuff like this so often it's almost like a trope or even a meme. The fact that she's going that far while pretending to be a giant talking tomato, and all the while taking into account that Yui is supposed to be like this "kawaii-ko"-style super-sugary baby-cute idol, yet she's making this tomato sound like a grown old man, is so over-the-top deadpan it's hilarious.

The legend of 1999 show YUI and MOA have solo songs it was the week in-between YUI and MOA's 14th birthdays and the confidence they both show at that age is amazing. YUI Chokotto love MOA Love machine
In the video from 2:08, three idol groups are playing a game like an acting showdown. MC has given a theme to them. It is " What do you answer if you get an umbrella from a boy in the sudden rain? " Yui has answered "It gets wet in the rain, so let's get in the umbrella together ". MC has responded "I will enter the Buddhist gate from tomorrow" to her too much cute acting, . MC has already said to Yui before her acting, " You are the champion!" to Yui's cuteness and humbleness. Other two groups have got against to that as joking.
The last video where they are rising the kitsune sign it's the end of 'The One' in the 'Big Fox Festival'... So that's officially the last song they sang together 😢😭
There was a documentary released like a month ago and when Su speaks about how important was Yui for Babymetal you can see in her face how Yui is still a wound that hurts her. I hope everything is going as she dreams, she deserves the best.

Also in the Kadokawa interview Su speaks so soulful of her she does say even after it was officially announced her departure, Su say she refused to accept it deep down and hard the hardest time dealing with the whole situation
The Yui falling asleep thing isn't a skit. She did the same in Sakura Gakuin and has written in a diary that she can fall asleep anytime, anywhere she wants. The thing that was a real killer when touring was that they usually didn't really have time to get over the jet-lag, they were touring, doing interviews and as soon as they got time over they did their schoolwork. If the rumours about Japanese schools is even close to truth that in itself is more than a full time job. Luckily their tours back then was usually two or three weeks before they got home. But then again, as soon as they got back to Japan they got back in to their Sakura Gakuin jobs. If I've understood correctly that is more or less full time. Japanese kids are not the same species as the rest of us...
I would suggest their mini documentary of when they first performed in Singapore. There is a scene before they perform when Yui is obviously nervous, goes onstage and performs, and after falls to the ground backstage. Be that scared but give your all anyway. That’s world class cojones. Performing injured after falling off the stage at Budokan and near the end rumored to have performed wearing a back brace. True or not just very strong willed young women.
Sakura Gakuin videos featuring the girls are always worth a look. Might I suggest a trio of vids. 1. Sumetals graduation speech. 2. Moametals emotional farewell to Su. 3. Su’s graduation toss. (Live). You may need a tissue, but you will love them. Kitsunes up. 🦊🦊🦊

That was probably one of the most heartfelt and appreciative reaction videos I've ever seen on YT. Laughter, super-kawaii cuteness overload and a few tears...and a little hope too that maybe, if The One all wish hard enough, Yui chan might choose to return. Thanks for that.
i made almost the exactly thoughts you did about Yuichan when i watched this vid. We all wishing the best for her, we miss her a lot for sure, but the show must go on, just like that vid in wich YuiMetal had a trouble with the receiver and had to do rest of the song with the device in one hand not able to use the whole arm, and MoaMetal seeing that did the rest of the coreo with one hand/arm too so she could pair with same coreo as her friend in trouble, such a lovely image of true partners in work, life and everything UwU
19:41 I also think Yui-metal is really exhausted! World tour, unfamiliar country, hard practice and best performance when she was about 14 or 15 years old. And those hardships behind the scenes are unknown to us.
@@autohmae Jet lag is a problem. And I remember watching a behind the scenes. The three of them were on the way to the car after the concert, Yui or Moa said: "I'm exhausted" and "I feel chest pain". At that time I felt that they worked too hard.
To your "they got to be tired" comment: I think that has to be an understatement. It's not only their tours and their performances, but you have to remember they were regular school girls at that time and had to go to school from 8am to 3pm, then probably travel by train to the studio to rehearse or do whatever and then study when they finally got home, probably around 8 or 9pm, because that's something Sakura Gakuin and AMUSE always care about, not neglecting the school work and tests. Moa and Yui not only had to rehearse and record for BABYMETAL, they had to do the same thing for Sakura Gakuin until March 2015. And not to forget, they also had to prepare for high school entry exams, too, in the latter half of 2014 and the beginning of 2015, just when Sakura Gakuin started their weekly streaming show. You should watch the "Cute & Funny Moments" videos of the same channel about all three members (ruclips.net/channel/UC9af9uxsbp1Td9EUIXA2RkAvideos ). There's 2 videos for each single member and 2 for Moa & Yui together. They're hilarious and you'll see that Yui was actually one of the people that got called out the least and her answers were rather tame at these tests. At least compared to Su, she had the most amazing answers sometimes and couldn't stop talking when trying to explain them. You could make a four part reaction out of it, one reaction for the two videos of each BM member each (and one for the two Moa&Yui ones of course) or just marathon it, it's definitely worth it ;)
Scenario: Yui comes back for 2 nights only to perform as the original lineup of BABYMETAL for an on-line pay-per-view worldwide COVID-19 fund raiser. Imagine the cash that would raise. What would you pay?
The thing about talking like a tomato, her Tomato-kun impression (the tomato was a boy), Yui is the shyest of the three and she confessed she would do Tomato-kun when she wanted to hide her feelings. So she would do an impression and make people laugh. It amazes me how those three control the room at a young age.
I only came across Babymetal a few years ago, So I missed seeing Yui as a member. It's makes me sad seeing her on these clips, knowing I will not get to see more of her. Honestly, when I think of Babymeta, Yui is the one I think of first even now.
The thing that hurts the most is that how it was like Yui was completely wiped out of existence No one's heard of her just a little bit news or anything, nothing ever since. 🌸 🏫 /💀 That song on the recorder was 'Hello! IVY!', one of the tracks on the first Sakura Gakuin single. From the squeal when you saw Yui in her "Baton Club" outfit, I'm assuming you haven't seen her in the Sakura Gakuin "Twinklestars" sub-unit. Here's one of their music videos: ruclips.net/video/W_q-Ku8D1yI/видео.html Su, Yui and Moa were in Sakura Gakuin for only a short time before BABYMETAL started. It was one of the first sub-units. All of those clips were after BABYMETAL began. All three members did a lot of modeling before Sakura Gakuin, and by coincidence all three signed with Amuse, Inc. in 2007. Of course Su was in Karen Girl's in 2008 and 2009.
Yui is a KILLER! If you liked the "puff puff" and the "baffa", watch the Sakura Gakuin nendo class tests from 2010-2015. Also a good way to get to know the other SG members and their hillarious "teacher" Mori Hayashi. BTW: Su's answers were even more crazy!
Oh I miss Yui so much. So much. Babymetal is an astonishing force for good. It is a source of life-changing music that has given so much to us. Su is an astonishingly tallented young woman. Moa also has incredible tallents. I could write for days about both of them. But Yui... My heart burns up inside every time I think about her cute smile. I could easily go on for days about Yui too. But I'll save you all the bother and reduce everything I feel about Yui to a single word. Adorable.
I wish Yui the best. She will always be Babymetal. I don't see it as just Su and Moa, I see it as The Avengers holding Yui's spot until she returns. We all pray for the day she returns. It must have been tough on Su and Moa when she had to leave. Especially Moa, they had been paired for so long. This video certainly gives you the feels. Thanks, ya dicks!
I'll never dis the avengers, I think they are awesome, but if Su, Moa and Yui where to ever reunit on stage, can you imagine how loud the crowd would be? I would love to be in that crowd for that. But her health must come first and I hope she is doing better these days

I've seen that video idk how many times now lol it was the first Yui tribute that genuinely made me happy and cry at the end and i seriously thought i would survive that video with you guys...but nope. Thank you for the image of Yui making a sandwich and talking to a tomato 😂 She worked so hard!! btw i've been to 2 American shows and they didn't do any meet/greet's sadly but it also makes sense with how busy their schedules really are.
I've read comments that yui's had back trouble now when they did the budokan on the first night during one of there songs while yui and moa was running yui slipped and fell off stage which you didn't see but I saw a clip someone had took when yui fell. Kinda not surprised she had a bad back but like a true pro the next song she was back on stage. I'm lucky to have the dvd which I watch alot and seen that she didn't make it back as they must of cut that part out as generally the camera follows them both when they take off runny.
Whenever I watch any of the Sakura Gakuin videos, it makes me sad how Yui-chan isn't with BM anymore. It breaks my heart these girls who are so close are not performing together any more. After watch Sakura Gakuin, you can feel the bond the girls have with each other after working and playing together every day for years and years while the teachers are moulding them into people who can function in the entertainment industry. I think the school is a big success in turning out girls ready for the hardwork, and social understanding what the industry is like and how to conduct themselves. But yes, BM were performing the same time they were still in Sakura Gakuin. And they amount of work prepared them for the hard work of the industry. I don't know if you know, but Su-chan commuted to Tokyo from her home town of Hiroshima for Sakura Gakuin. That's 511 miles, 4 hours by train. During her graduation speech, she talks about the loneliness of that commute. Also, the amount of trauma the girls put on their bodies practicing and performing in BM while their bones and muscles are still growing can mess them up for life. In later concerts, they're not as energetic, but I still love their performances because now it's not what they do on stage, but the personality and attitude that stands out in a performance is what still draws me to them. I still have high hopes Yui-chan will come back in the future for a more tamed performance even if it's just for one or two concerts. There might be a reason other than honoring Yuimetal's part in BM that the 3rd slot filled by an Avenger is still not a singing part even though each Avenger can also sing. I've watched Yuimetal's last concert at Big Fox and she was wearing a back brace. I hope she's fully recovered by now and hope to hear anything about her. But these types of information is held very private in Japan as everyone respects their privacy, so there won't be any news unless Yui-chan or Amuse announces it. In the US, we live in a culture where we want to learn anything and everything we can about an idol we treasure and love. But in Japan, there is scant little information released and The One will just gobble up anything and everything about their idols even though it's very little about their lives.
I believe I read that Yui and Moa have been friends since they were 6 years old. They have pretty much done everything together. I sent this before but you two haev got to watch this if you haven't already. It is beyond adorable watching Yui and Moa dance with everyone when they were sooooo tiny and new to Sakura Gakuin. ruclips.net/video/H0imue5uHiw/видео.html The white T-shirt guy is obviously a fan lol. And who would blame these girls for being tired. Don't forget the fact that when they travel, it isn't only the long flights and waiting around, its the difference in time zones and jet lag too. I appreciate what you say about the touring and sleeping. The total time over one year would probably add up to no more than 6 to 8 weeks. This would have been down to them being young and also having to still do their education too.

There is something about Sakura Gakuin that sets them apart from other Idol groups the girls seemed super talented and professional. The Sakura Gakuin clips ,shows and songs are pure gold but there was something about BabyMetal which made them stand out even more . There's lots of these clips and lots of fan made tributes starting with Yui & Moa growing up tribute video and Suzuka Nakamoto - our Queen . If you think Yui got hard time in tests you should see Su's in the Nendo Class.Tests 🤘🦊🤘❤
Lol not only did they have to balance all their SG with their Babymetal stuff, which were both non-stop, but they still had to keep up in their actual schools. No wonder they so damn tired
The shot of Su and Moa with their hair down is from Doki Doki Morning Rehearsal MV, well worth a look. Likely the earliest live performance of Doki Doki. Yui eats tomatoes like you and I eat an apple. Unfortunately I do not think Yui will be back, what ever her health issue is I think it prevents her from performing. I believe she is still listed as an Amuse artist. What I don't know is what Yui and Moa were doing prior to Sakura Gakuin, aka dance/vocal schooling.
I can't remember which concert, but look into the one where Yui fell off the stage and missed the rest of the show. It was odd seeing Moa dancing and the other side was empty.
I'm not sure that's correct. Yui fell off the stage in one concert ( Live in Budokan: Red Night) I think. Moa and Su had to finish the song without her, but Yui came right back on stage for the next song. Moa had to do the entire show without Yui for the first time for Su's birthday show in Hiroshima. In 2018, I think? Yui never returned to the stage with Babymetal after that.

It is very very unlikely Yui will ever return to Babymetal but I think most of us just want to see her in her new project so we can support her again. I think, time wise, almost everything you see from Sakura Gakuin overlaps with Babymetal. You saw how tiny they were when they were talking about Doki Doki Morning. :)
Yes I think if it were possible for her to return she almost certainly would have but I guess her health condition just prevents her from being able to tolerate the rigors of touring and performing with Babymetal
@@chrisharris1522 Back in 2018 people had suggested she would never come back because it would look bad. Like changing your mind is not something that Japanese people do because its frowned upon. Maybe its BS, i don't now. One thing I do know is that Moa has shown a bit of frustration in recent interviews over people dwelling in the past and not moving forward with her and Su. She was specifically referring to those who say Babymetal is not the same or its not as good anymore. That doesn't sound like she is expecting Yui to return or even wants her to.
@@jeffschreifels8651 yes that comment made me sad as well, but I think if she could return she would even if it breaks norms, the financial incentive would be just too go good to turn down for everyone involved, Moa has moved on and wants to look to the future, I can completely understand how she must have felt hearing people screaming out Yui chan while she and Su were busting their ass onstage to put on a great show that Yui had absolutely no part in producing
Further comment. There is a video from around when they started. Yui and Moa are holding hands and talking. It was very overwhelming to see how very close they were.

Yui and Moa were best friends longer than they can remember. It was Yui who talked Moa into them auditioning for Sakura Gakuin..

私もべビメタが好きになった時に既にYUIがいない状態だったので原因を必死に調べました。
一つ体調不良はあるでしょう。YUIの最後のステージの2017年巨大キツネ祭り大阪城ホールでは表情がなく
腰に明らかにコルセットをしてダンスにもいつものキレがありませんでした。明らかに腰を負傷していたのは明白です。
でもそれは武道館転落と関係あるかは分かりません。あの武道館公演の転落後直ぐに復帰して踊ってましたし。
むしろ武道館公演でつまずいて立ってられない程の負傷をしたのはMOAです。
体調不良がささやかれ始めたのは本当は度重なる過酷な海外ツアーがあったのでべビメタ自体が休みをとる予定をしていた
2016年にレッチリやKORNの海外ツアー同行の依頼があり、断り切れずに参加したタイミングでYUIの体調、精神的にも
追い詰められたのだと推測しています。
ほかの方が書いておられるようにリスニングで他の2人より大分差がついてしまったのも原因の一つかもしれませんし、
元々純粋に「アイドル」を目指してこの業界に入ってきて思春期で多感な時期に体調不良で長期の休みを取る事になり、
ふと自分の原点を見つめなおしたという事もあったのかもしれません。
どんな形であれYUIには元気な姿でみんなの前に現れて欲しいです。
あと、YUIが好きな人は最初は盲目的に色んな推測や邪推もしてしまいます。私もそうでした。
でもカドカワのインタビューでMOAが「彼女の夢を応援したい」の一言で救われましたし、YUI離脱で病んでいた私の心も浄化されました。皆さんもYUIの夢を応援しましょう。

Which is why I think Fukei and Babymetal fans look up them as well. And have such a proud feeling.

i made almost the exactly thoughts you did about Yuichan when i watched this vid. We all wishing the best for her, we miss her a lot for sure, but the show must go on, just like that vid in wich YuiMetal had a trouble with the receiver and had to do rest of the song with the device in one hand not able to use the whole arm, and MoaMetal seeing that did the rest of the coreo with one hand/arm too so she could pair with same coreo as her friend in trouble, such a lovely image of true partners in work, life and everything UwU

@@autohmae Jet lag is a problem. And I remember watching a behind the scenes. The three of them were on the way to the car after the concert, Yui or Moa said: "I'm exhausted" and "I feel chest pain". At that time I felt that they worked too hard.

To your "they got to be tired" comment: I think that has to be an understatement. It's not only their tours and their performances, but you have to remember they were regular school girls at that time and had to go to school from 8am to 3pm, then probably travel by train to the studio to rehearse or do whatever and then study when they finally got home, probably around 8 or 9pm, because that's something Sakura Gakuin and AMUSE always care about, not neglecting the school work and tests. Moa and Yui not only had to rehearse and record for BABYMETAL, they had to do the same thing for Sakura Gakuin until March 2015. And not to forget, they also had to prepare for high school entry exams, too, in the latter half of 2014 and the beginning of 2015, just when Sakura Gakuin started their weekly streaming show.
You should watch the "Cute & Funny Moments" videos of the same channel about all three members (ruclips.net/channel/UC9af9uxsbp1Td9EUIXA2RkAvideos ). There's 2 videos for each single member and 2 for Moa & Yui together. They're hilarious and you'll see that Yui was actually one of the people that got called out the least and her answers were rather tame at these tests. At least compared to Su, she had the most amazing answers sometimes and couldn't stop talking when trying to explain them. You could make a four part reaction out of it, one reaction for the two videos of each BM member each (and one for the two Moa&Yui ones of course) or just marathon it, it's definitely worth it ;)
Su had her hair down when she was dressed as a shrine maiden in the Megitsune music video.

The thing about talking like a tomato, her Tomato-kun impression (the tomato was a boy), Yui is the shyest of the three and she confessed she would do Tomato-kun when she wanted to hide her feelings. So she would do an impression and make people laugh. It amazes me how those three control the room at a young age.
I only came across Babymetal a few years ago, So I missed seeing Yui as a member. It's makes me sad seeing her on these clips, knowing I will not get to see more of her. Honestly, when I think of Babymeta, Yui is the one I think of first even now.
The thing that hurts the most is that how it was like Yui was completely wiped out of existence

From the squeal when you saw Yui in her "Baton Club" outfit, I'm assuming you haven't seen her in the Sakura Gakuin "Twinklestars" sub-unit.

Su, Yui and Moa were in Sakura Gakuin for only a short time before BABYMETAL started.
It was one of the first sub-units. All of those clips were after BABYMETAL began.
All three members did a lot of modeling before Sakura Gakuin, and by coincidence all three signed with Amuse, Inc. in 2007.
Of course Su was in Karen Girl's in 2008 and 2009.

I've seen that video idk how many times now lol it was the first Yui tribute that genuinely made me happy and cry at the end and i seriously thought i would survive that video with you guys...but nope. Thank you for the image of Yui making a sandwich and talking to a tomato 😂 She worked so hard!! btw i've been to 2 American shows and they didn't do any meet/greet's sadly but it also makes sense with how busy their schedules really are.
I've read comments that yui's had back trouble now when they did the budokan on the first night during one of there songs while yui and moa was running yui slipped and fell off stage which you didn't see but I saw a clip someone had took when yui fell. Kinda not surprised she had a bad back but like a true pro the next song she was back on stage. I'm lucky to have the dvd which I watch alot and seen that she didn't make it back as they must of cut that part out as generally the camera follows them both when they take off runny.

Whenever I watch any of the Sakura Gakuin videos, it makes me sad how Yui-chan isn't with BM anymore. It breaks my heart these girls who are so close are not performing together any more. After watch Sakura Gakuin, you can feel the bond the girls have with each other after working and playing together every day for years and years while the teachers are moulding them into people who can function in the entertainment industry. I think the school is a big success in turning out girls ready for the hardwork, and social understanding what the industry is like and how to conduct themselves. But yes, BM were performing the same time they were still in Sakura Gakuin. And they amount of work prepared them for the hard work of the industry. I don't know if you know, but Su-chan commuted to Tokyo from her home town of Hiroshima for Sakura Gakuin. That's 511 miles, 4 hours by train. During her graduation speech, she talks about the loneliness of that commute.
Also, the amount of trauma the girls put on their bodies practicing and performing in BM while their bones and muscles are still growing can mess them up for life. In later concerts, they're not as energetic, but I still love their performances because now it's not what they do on stage, but the personality and attitude that stands out in a performance is what still draws me to them. I still have high hopes Yui-chan will come back in the future for a more tamed performance even if it's just for one or two concerts. There might be a reason other than honoring Yuimetal's part in BM that the 3rd slot filled by an Avenger is still not a singing part even though each Avenger can also sing. I've watched Yuimetal's last concert at Big Fox and she was wearing a back brace. I hope she's fully recovered by now and hope to hear anything about her. But these types of information is held very private in Japan as everyone respects their privacy, so there won't be any news unless Yui-chan or Amuse announces it. In the US, we live in a culture where we want to learn anything and everything we can about an idol we treasure and love. But in Japan, there is scant little information released and The One will just gobble up anything and everything about their idols even though it's very little about their lives.
I believe I read that Yui and Moa have been friends since they were 6 years old. They have pretty much done everything together. I sent this before but you two haev got to watch this if you haven't already. And who would blame these girls for being tired. Don't forget the fact that when they travel, it isn't only the long flights and waiting around, its the difference in time zones and jet lag too. Plus they have to rehearse before shows as well.

I appreciate what you say about the touring and sleeping. The total time over one year would probably add up to no more than 6 to 8 weeks. This would have been down to them being young and also having to still do their education too.

There is something about Sakura Gakuin that sets them apart from other Idol groups the girls seemed super talented and professional.
The Sakura Gakuin clips ,shows and songs are pure gold but there was something about BabyMetal which made them stand out even more .

The shot of Su and Moa with their hair down is from Doki Doki Morning Rehearsal MV, well worth a look. Likely the earliest live performance of Doki Doki. Yui eats tomatoes like you and I eat an apple. Unfortunately I do not think Yui will be back, what ever her health issue is I think it prevents her from performing. I believe she is still listed as an Amuse artist.
What I don't know is what Yui and Moa were doing prior to Sakura Gakuin, aka dance/vocal schooling.

I can't remember which concert, but look into the one where Yui fell off the stage and missed the rest of the show.
It was odd seeing Moa dancing and the other side was empty.
I'm not sure that's correct. Yui fell off the stage in one concert ( Live in Budokan: Red Night) I think. Moa and Su had to finish the song without her, but Yui came right back on stage for the next song.
Moa had to do the entire show without Yui for the first time for Su's birthday show in Hiroshima. In 2018, I think? Yui never returned to the stage with Babymetal after that.

It is very very unlikely Yui will ever return to Babymetal but I think most of us just want to see her in her new project so we can support her again. I think, time wise, almost everything you see from Sakura Gakuin overlaps with Babymetal. You saw how tiny they were when they were talking about Doki Doki Morning. :)
Yes I think if it were possible for her to return she almost certainly would have but I guess her health condition just prevents her from being able to tolerate the rigors of touring and performing with Babymetal
@@chrisharris1522 Back in 2018 people had suggested she would never come back because it would look bad. Like changing your mind is not something that Japanese people do because its frowned upon. Maybe its BS, i don't now. One thing I do know is that Moa has shown a bit of frustration in recent interviews over people dwelling in the past and not moving forward with her and Su. She was specifically referring to those who say Babymetal is not the same or its not as good anymore. That doesn't sound like she is expecting Yui to return or even wants her to.
