  • This week was a struggle. I don't open up about my mental health often and I find it hard to talk about these things. So, thank you for giving me a place to try and get some things off my chest.

    Hey lovelies!
    1. I’m so sorry it’s late! I’ve been having some issues with my internet and RUclips!
    2. I’m not great at talking about my mental health and I almost wasn’t going to include a lot in the video but I want these vlogs to be as realistic and true as possible so I’m sorry about the water works. But thank you for letting this be a great space where I can be honest ♥️

    You're a star x

Your problems may be “first world problems” but that doesn’t make them any less valid. Please don’t feel you need to play them down. We’re all here watching YOUR vlog because we love them and we love that you show us your authenticity! We’ve got your back.
Love that new scrunchie material BTW - it looks like spring time 🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸

I loved your honest talk! Not only because I can relate, but we should be encouraged to talk about the rough stuff. Running a business and having another job must be so tough. I'm very lucky that my day job allows me to be me. Personally, I don't think I could work at a job where tattoos and dyed hair weren't allowed. You are so strong for pushing through!

I've felt exactly the same way. I gave up working for others because it made me miserable. I now work for myself, and although money is a constant struggle, it made such a huge difference to my mental health. I also have ADHD and honestly quitting the 9 - 5 was the best thing for me. I also was fortunate enough to get some help through the government / universal credit when I went self employed so it's always worth seeing what help you can get financially through your local council to ease money worries when you do decide to work on the business full time. :)

I HEAR YOU... and your problems and struggles are so important.and thank you for talking about feeling uncomfortable in a work environment, i am 59 and have struggled with this for years (many people just thinking i was lazy and didnt want to work) i worked from home making things but back then there was no you tube or social media so no one really knew ... sorry for the rant.. but please know you really helped me today THANK YOU and take good care of you.

I havent finished the video yet but i had to pause and comment.
I just finished the part you were real and i appreciate it sooo much. I am typing to let you know i been there! I lived in uk and i hated my job although it wasnt the worst at all, i was lucky enough that in that job i didnt have to cover up because for me my blue hair and tattoos and piercings were where i got my confidence on to keep going... i left uk because i was alone (my family moved back to portugal) and i was crying before work and before bed DAILY. i truly was depressed and i couldnt even see it. You matter, your mental health matter, and you arent alone at all... rn i am fortunate to live with my parents and have my small business as my full time job but dont be fooled, its a financial struggle for me rn. But believe... believe you can do it, because you can, you have such an amazing mentality and energy to do it. I am unbelievebly proud that you were able to upload that section and be vulnerable with us... Never change that, because me, as a small business, dont want to see fairytales, i want to see raw, real, struggles and wins. Lastly, you will win... i wish you the best in the journey to success !

Don't ever feel you have to apologise for being human. As for the changing your appearance at work, if you can, change jobs, if only for the mortgage thing until you are earning enough from YT to leave. Obviously this is 11months ago I need to watch the rest of the vlogs!! You are an inspiration to me. I am a teacher and get imposter syndrome all the time! I started making scrunchies to sell at markets because of you and an Aussie YT'er @madebytaylahrose. Take heed of your mirror decals! 😉x

Don't be sad. We handle stress and anxiety, and depression in different ways. And it has its way to bring us down in ways you didn't this was possible. But it all depends on how we handle it and not let it get to you. And always the best was is to let it out and talk with a friend or family. Or even on here with complete strangers. We are all here for one another. We just have to break the wall of the one thing that scares most of us. And that is opening up and letting someone see how you are hurting. And not worry that they are going to make fun of you for it. The more you hold it in, the harder it is to let it go. And then it can lead you down a road that has no out. It is only when we can open up that we can see the light in the darkness. But always feel free to talk to someone, anyone. We are all here for one another. Stay strong and keep up the great work, and enjoy that new baby niece.

Look I’m a single mom I was the mom and the dad and starting my own business was so hard especially when you have invested so much of your money in time. It’s easy to want to quit or not try but your dreams don’t come true with no effort. Working a job job is hard when your passion is else where. I’ve struggled with this for years. And I got to the point where I quit for over 2 years and I have found it’s so so so so hard to be noticed again. But you gotta keep at it. Cause this feeling you have won’t last forever . You are beautiful and so talented. Keep swimming !! And celebrate you!!

It makes me sad that you blame yourself for feeling a certain way for something you can't really control in a way. 😢 (I mean.. I do that to myself too sometimes.) This is so true though. This is a prime example of how toxic the “professional image” is for those who dare to break barriers with their style. It’s so mentally damaging suppressing our real selves for the sake of looking “professional” I can do my job just as well with my tattoos, piercings and colourful hair on show, in fact allowing a person to express themselves in a work environment is only going to allow that person to thrive more. Ugh. I hope you’re doing a bit better now lovely xx

    • @faunarose
      @faunarose  Год назад +1

I wish I could speak openly about how toxic a lot of my work experiences have been but I’m just glad it’s now in the past. The whole image thing is horrendous and should never be a priority over other things that SHOULD be a priority. Exactly! A bit of ink doesn’t change our ability to work. Madness isn’t it! I’m doing so much better thank you so much lovely for all the support 🖤🖤🖤

Thank you for sharing your struggles. Being neuroatypic makes me feel so alone, it's hard to juggle with having a business and being creative. I also can relate to the struggle of being in a work environment, it got so bad for me that I had to be put on disability. That's what made me finally take the jump and open my creative business, which makes me lose a lot of money at the moment, but I had to have something in my life to keep going... so thank you for making me see that I'm not the only one!

First off you are completely allowed to be upset and feel whatever it is that you are feeling. You are entitled to those feelings. Secondly a standard work environment isn’t for everyone I have learned this too, and it sucks to feel like you are being pressured into one. Please know that we see you for exactly who you are, and love you for it. I am sorry you are struggling so badly right now, but don’t beat yourself up for having emotions or expressing them.

I am a mom to two, and step mom to 3. Three out of the 5 have ADHD and I also am a CPC who works with Adults who have ADHD. I hear you. I understand. The emotions, the intrusive thoughts, all of it. Problems are relative. If it's important to you, then it's important. Nothing more to be said. It's good that you are conscious of your feelings. Best way is to get it out and have a good support system around you. XOXO

So thank you for sharing and know you are not alone, I have similar struggles too and haven’t been able to share them on my channel yet. SN i saw that you glued the lanyard together and don’t have any tags on them. May I suggest gluing your tags on before your finishing knit. 27:23
