@@yarning4asmile Watching your videos, I can understand that you struggle a lot. It feels bad to see less views after creating such good content. If you want I can help you with video promotion or optimization.
Aww thank you very very much. It has been a whirlwind of a month and I am tired but I am so thankful I can stay home and take care of mamaw and sit and craft some when I am there and not doing caretaker things and cleaning for them.
That peacock is adorable!! I love the shawl too. I am still working on mine and Jacob's chicken. 🙄 I just have not had the brain space or energy to work on it right now. I want to knit and work on something. I need to find something mindless, and not a washcloth. I really want to seam my washcloths together and make a blanket. Or find squares, or something, I can make and join together later. Or maybe just a granny stripe blanket with them.
Oh no! I know those feelings. I hope things get more craft-tasting for you. Next week should be easier over at Mamaw’s, I am not having to rearrange furniture, which is going to be nice and should give me a tad more relaxing time, although I have not check the boys school test and quizzes all last week… 😳
I have been exploring various patterns for her lately. One of the patterns I'd like to try involves a crocheted tube with a marble that can be pushed up and down inside. I plan to buy some marbles when I go grocery shopping this week and give it a try. It was suggested in a community post I made last week or the week before. I'm also interested in making a fiddle mat and have been looking at some online as well. Thank you for your love for my peacock project. It turned out really cute, and I absolutely love the "With Love" Peacock color, it is one of my favorites.
This would be one of the bigger marbles and the thing is made so there is no way for it to come out. It is more of a long tube that has extreme negative ease so that it takes some pushing to move the marble up and down. Although, I do need to put some tennis balls on the list for today and am grateful you reminded me of that! Happy Monday
It is hard to get in the fall mood here in Texas too! Temps are a little cooler, but still in the high 80's. I am trying to make a pair of Halloween socks at the moment. I have never finished a pair of socks as yet. Also working on a lego block blanket for boggy creek. Your shawl is beautiful!
Thank you for the shawl love! I love Lego blankets that is going to be a hit with the kiddos for sure. I am currently doing the border on my blanket am it have to pause to fold some laundry 😒 House chores get in the way of fun things.
OMG your shawl is stunning. Lovely fades. Like the look of that crescent shawl. I missed who's pattern. Cute socks. I'm knitting an A symmetrical shawl and working on a Boggy Creek blankets. 😊
Hi Kim!! Your BOD shawl is absolutely stunning especially in that yarn. I really need to find some nice yarn in a colorway that I love and make myself one! I'm sure you got a lot of compliments if you wore it to church today!!! All of your other projects are beautiful as well! Your peacock turned out really cute! Do you think if you had put the pipe cleaners in that it would stand up. I think that is sometimes a big frustration of mine, that the weight of the rest of the body or a part of the body, will not allow it to stand because it is too heavy... Do you find you like knitting or crocheting better for wearables? I am just curious! Take care!💜💜💜
The pipe cleaners do help! The turkey that is beside me the the video has pipe cleaners doubled and he will stand. The pumpkin guy Patch has a single pipe cleaner and his legs are possible but not really standable. As for wearables, I have knit so many shawls. I have knit one sweater but I am not a huge sweater wearer. I think that is because of my geolocation though, Alabama tends to be hot year round. However with that being said, I have several knit and several sweaters and wearables queued to make. I think I love knitting shawls so much because of the process of knitting. It is a lot more relaxing to me. I can feel the exact leg of the stitch and where the next goes, where crochet I have to look. Thank you so much for your kind words on my makes. I did get a lot of people asking about it. I wore it with a grey cotton dress and some cotton black leggings. It was very comfortable and even though it was a warm day, it was the perfect weight and drape with the ac going at church. I apologize for any errors in spelling or grammar. My husband just put the antibiotic “Neosporin consistently” stuff in my eyes and they are very blurry for a while afterwards. 💕
