Wow, these Yarn Cake Amigurumi creations are absolutely adorable! 🧶 The 15 cute creatures you’ve crocheted are so creative and fun. I can’t wait to see more of your amazing crochet skills in action! Keep it up! 🐾
I went in an added a direct link for it to amazon, if you chose to go that route. However, no pressure to use my link. I am just happy to spread the cuteness of these creations.
I bought the book about a year ago. I saw another crafter review it and she didn't like the color-control aspect. I think it was because, like me, she actually thought they were made just by letting the yarn flow. But I love your take, in that cute, colorful animals can be made with one "cake," and making it cost effective...especially for people that don't make amigurumi often, so don't have a stash of yarn for them. I just love the animals in the book, whether they are made colorful or not. Thanks for sharing the book.
Also that they would be great for stash busting. I can see how that would be disappointing though with the color, and that’s interesting that her review and you felt the same. I know many people go into projects like that thinking that way. I think it is one of those topics some designers assume, but the reality is not every one knows about color control and why I keep repeating it and that when shopping one needs to be mindful of the prominent color of the cake, if they want it to turn out life the designers.
The highland cow is so cute, but right now with all that is going on I do not have the brain space for that much I am going to be working on the dragon next!
If you love making amigurumi, I think it’s a good buy. I really love how accessible the yarns are for these and honestly the creatures are just cute and have a wonderful portioned parts.
I want to try amigurumi so badly, but I'm so intimidated by them! I definitely think you should do the kitten! All the critters in the book are so cute❣❣
Once I get mamaw settled for a little nap, I can search for you. I had church last night and then came home and went straight to bed. lol I was so tired!
I will definitely be making some of these. This week is crazy because of all the nurses and I have some apts I have to get to after being here… so my crafting time is almost nonexistent… 😕
@@yarning4asmile real life first. We are dealing with a gas leak. The gas has been off for 2 weeks. We have 3 plumbers in here trying to figure out what’s going on. Here I was not knowing plumbers dealt with gas leaks😅
@@kellynalley7832 and that I why I bought this book! It felt softer to me, even more than I love this yarn. I am hoping it does not bother my skin. I love the those colors too. I am going to be on the hunt for certain ones for my creatures. Thank you for sharing your color favorites!

lol I had no idea plumbers worked on them either! However, Mario is good with dealing with Bowser and his fireball vomitting kids.. so it check outs.
Hope they figure it out. Gas is not common here. Everyone is so spread out it’s too expensive to run lines.

@@kellynalley7832 what is your favorite color?
@yarning4asmile I love the colors Felicity, harmony, and cool. I like making chemo hats since the ombre is super soft!
