I doubt it 😒 How, the weight/energy requirements/ complexity of whatever system that is will outweigh tried and tested methods. What do I know, I am a high school drop-out 🤷♀️
I am pretty stoked to see the first test flights! It's all fun and games up until the hardware hits the road. After watching Tim's video and your tests so far, I have faith in this project as I am sure you do as well. It's pretty cool to see 3 vehicles going head-to-head for full reusability. I wonder who is going to cross the finish line first? Best of luck and engineering to you!
The 3 vehicles being Terran R, Stoke's rocket and starship? Iirc new Glenn has some planned reusable second stage down the line as well. Wonderful era for spaceflight.
@@maxv9464 It is absolutely is a great time to be alive when it comes to the aerospace industry. I was thinking Neutron, Starship/Super Heavy and Stoke. They all have some sort of hardware built already. I guess BO's project Jarvis would count as well, although we hear so little from them that it might as well not be a thing. They do have hardware for it though, so I guess that counts for something. I wasn't even thinking of Terran R because Terran 1 hasn't even launched yet. Also before anyone else comments, I am only taking orbital vehicles into account here. No New Shepard or Spaceship 2 (Virgin) need apply.
This looks really promising. Most of the concepts I’ve seen for reusable upper stages do not allow for rapid reusability. The design of the upper stage looks very interesting, especially the heat shield.
It looks nice! Excited to see the first physical tests, those will certainly show if the concept is feasible and bring any problems to the surface. Good luck from the netherlands!
2nd stage reusability solutions look neat. I really like the hinged fairings, it’s way less complicated to keep them attached instead of catching them like what spacex does.
Oh yeah we are trying to keep in touch for you guys. This company has a really interesting concept! Hopefully the true rocket finish by the end of this decade!wishes you good luck!👍
Its insane how you guys try to master this, I really hope you can make it to space and go further then low earth orbit. I like your attempts to make a fully reusable rocket, which could dramaticly lower the cost to space and could really enable very great projects in orbit and maybe even in the interplanetary room. I really want to see also the booster not only the second stage hops, which will also be very hreat to see and will hopefully proof the concept of the non anlativ heatshield. The booster and also the full-flow engien you want to use on it is also a great thing, which will also hopefully fly on a booster in a few years to proof also the booster and not only the second stage concept. Thanks for making this and inspiring a lot of people with trying to make these concepts, which exsited also 50 years ago, to a rocket, a system and a inspiration.
I'm 70 years old and I've following space exploration from childhood until now. In just 66 years we've gone from Sputnik to this. In those years we've gone from the early propeller driven airliners to the moon, Mars and past the outer planets. It's been quite a ride. What was science fiction is rapidly becoming fact. I pray we cam finally get ourselves together as a species, put aside our differences and follow our innate drive to explore.
after seeing the amazing First hop flight of the Upperstage, it was an amazing flight!. im only 14, but in a few years time, Stoke space will be firing these rockets out of the factory and into orbit like nothing on earth, its truly otherworldly to see this amazing development program form in such a short period of time
"Actively cooled metallic heat shield" Can't wait to see how that performs on re-entry! Rooting for you guys!
super interesting idea.. i wonder if it will work.. covering the whole surface and not just flowing to one side or such..
@@mm-hl7gh I think it’ll work the way activity cooled engines do with a lattice of small pipes running cryogenic fuel across the system at all times.
@@Cris022 Pretty much. Everyday Astronaut’s video explains a lot about it.
The same concept has stopped rocket engines melting from the exhaust. It will work if applied correctly.
I doubt it 😒

I appreciate the attention to detail this render has. The heat shield is accurately off-center to create lift for steering during reentry.
Such a unique design, I cant wait to see it fly soon! Praying for lots of cameras on both stages
You guys are moving so quickly, it's amazing to witness. Very excited for the future of this company!
I love how you make the entire rocket is fully reusable both First Stage and Second stage
I’m so exited for Stoke Space they have a lot of potential!!
I think you mean youre.... *stoked?*

C'MON BABY
So "Stoked" for you guys. Can't wait to see the Aerospike in action!
You guys are moving at a rapid pace and with that a really innovative idea, I'm so excited to see the future of this company
Looks like Falcon 9 and Delta clipper had a baby 😂
So excited for the future of this company! Keep going!!!
Rocket name idea:
Super Technologically Odvanced Kool Escaper-of-earth's-atmosphere: STOKE
Truly genius design, and a groundbreaking idea for the second stage, can't wait to see it in action. Good luck :)
I'm really enjoying following your progress! Keep up the exciting work and can't wait to see you nail the landing 🤘🚀
Very exciting! I hope you will keep us posted as it develops.
so happy we've basically had a rebirth in another space race like the 1970s.
It looks nice! Excited to see the first physical tests, those will certainly show if the concept is feasible and bring any problems to the surface. Good luck from the netherlands!
glad we are getting more competition in the aerospace field! this rocket looks sick!!
Honestly I'm extremely excited for this new space company. An to me I honestly think these rockets look amazing and really cool.
Definitely looks interesting, looking forward to seeing if it comes to fruition in a few years!
This is such a cool and groundbreaking idea! I really hope you guys can achieve this
the day this launches it's going to be amazing for the spaceflight world, i can't wait for the future of you guys!
The landing legs for the first stage of the rocket is just incredibly well designed!
Keep up the great work, Stoke! Can't wait to see how the first tests go.
This is my favorite solution on second stage reuse to date... can't wait to see it fly!
What a refreshingly awesome design, can't wait to see this leap from the drawing board! Kudos for taking us for the ride, keep it up!
Awesome! You guys rock! I'm sure you are going to be one of the leading space companies in the future.

My new favorite Upper Stage! Go Stoke!
Incredible! Good luck Stoke Space!
Looks awesome! :D
I am excited to see what future brings
I love this concept, to me it seems as though a variation of this is screaming out to be landed on Mars.
Any civilian space travel advance is welcome in my book. Best of luck!! You got this!

that is actually good! i believe in you!
that is genuinely a brilliant concept, go for it fellas
I hope everything works, and will be following you! After 60 years, Philip Bono would be proud!
You guys are so cool! Hope to hear back from your hiring team, eventually... maybe... :P
The better the CG is, the less time you're spending building the actual rocket.
Looks pretty damn good, I am really excited 🤩🚀
Okay, based on your video, Second Stage should orbit the Earth once . Pretty amazing, can't wait when you actually nail it
Godspeed! 🙏🏼
Jesus christ.... its you!
Jesus I see you are very interested in rocketry haha I see you everywhere
What amazing jesus is here❤
