One thing I do respect is how they start off by saying the positive things about the blade before talking about the failure points
And when they talked about the negatives, they really mentioned it professionally (because you can also visually see why).
They also dont throw unnecessary "insults" like "this blade shouldnt have been made", etc.
These types of judges are the kind of people who really give awesome straightforward technical feedback.
That might be the most damage I've seen a knife take on this show.
wd-40 can do that
Even the can took lesser damage
What about the ten swings on an ice block one
THATS A LOTTA DAMAGE!!!
there, i said it.
Other then outright snapping, yeah, those dents just seem more brutal then the critical failure stuff...
Tester:“And as you can see it it cut easily”
Bladesmith: *nervously wondering if it will cut*
Tester: “it will cut”
it's never good when ypu snap your tip
That is what he says, yes.
@@dabunnyrabbit2620 ???
@@adamebanks3837 if you're slashing the tip is irrelevant lol
Aww man, I was waiting for him to say "It won't cut" at the end :/
Kimberly Campbell me too
Same🤣
He said it will not cut on another episode. Might be a few before i find the episode.
Don't you love how nice and impressed they are with each other
3:14 that smile. It is a KEAL smile
3:29
Doug: "Overall, it will cut"
3:31
Jon: "That's what I want to hear"
We, That is *exactly* what we want and came for 😂🤣
*I wOnDeR wHo LeFt??!?*
Who?
Gatcha Thea the last guy the one that took a lot of damage
@@gatchathea637 Jim trolololol
Doug: "it weel cat"
Jon: "That's what I wanted to hear."
Me: "Well, I prefer keel 😁"
For those of you that are wondering why they are using ammo cans to test the knives. It is a combat knife. In combat you may have to hack through a door, pry open a man hole cover, chop off a hand or leg and bore a hole through a wall. There is no telling what you will run into in combat so you need a knife that can be a lot more versatile than a fighting knife. But it has to fill that role too.
Fairly certain they just picked the military stuff because it fits the theme of the blade
Jim: "Well... I designed it to slice throats and guts, not chop into the top edge of a metal box!!"
Et weel kaat
I just love how wholesome the competition on this show is, it's like a group of friends trying one up each other more than a gameshow.
J’s grunts sound like they’re from an old street fighter game.
lmao whenever the guy says it will keeel/cut he makes a funny face lel and i die
no more it will keel?
wrong round my guy. keel test is round 3
It’s only for against carcasses and the ballistic gel dummies
i feel like every single one of these short clips end in a bad ending
It will keeellll...
Jan Louie Magbero Comment twice then like your own comment
@@zoomerpanda3215 that`s called dedication
Man, I thought they're going to stab and slice through that bundle supply in that sharpness test. I guess the chords were more budget friendly to cut than the packages :D
3:29 that smile tho
I was waiting for Doug to smile and say it will not cut🤣
I love this
I don't care if it cuts will it keEl !?
This round doesn't get the keel test though lol only the round with the final 2 gets the keel test
I guess it's Keal ( keep everyone alive )
3:54 nice movement and body balance :D hes only a master level XP
Bro Jim is prolly the best especially from the finals he’s a beast
The satisfaction these guys get from hearing "it will kill" isn't creepy at all.
When did they say that?
They love their job I wish I could play with sharp things all day
Imagine having tests to see how sharp a blade is when you’re cutting 5-6 thin pieces of rope held by a heavy bag at the bottom. Nail clippers could cut that
And the last knife didn't cut it, so your point?
It's about whether it's sharp enough to cut the rope in one or few slashes. Even despite the tension, kitchen knives would need an extra hand to hold it in place while it's being cut
Love the first guy😌💖
John is sooooo hooot🙄🐱💖
Jim's knife looked more Applegate-Fairbairn than KA-BAR
Nice
Good old RUclips recommendations
No one mentions the lids on the cans disappear after he stabs it three times and goes for the cuts
😱😱😱😱😱😱
Coowhip44 I thought they got knocked off?
Hacking the ammo can was pretty harsh.
LET'S DO THIS!
Jim’s edge wasn’t chipped it just became serrated
It wil keeeeeeeeellll
3:27 it week cut 😀
It will KUHT!
Thought Jim's knife was gonna snap in half.
It weel keel?
Old man baked his blade in an oven
Strength test is Nielson time
Gotta have a knife ready for when your enemy shrinks and hides in an ammo can! Or for when you go berserk ready to rage quit and take it all out on the ammo cans around you.
2:36 Well, that's one way to put serrations in a blade.
Is it just me or does John look exactly like a real life version of red from dead rising 3?
Cool
i love it how its small to tall
Hmm same pattern, 1st blade, great balanced construction 2nd blade, Handle is to large but it did more damage all together due to force. Same thing with the Cutlass.
They cut off before revealing who lost
Feels bad for him :(
We already know the last guy was going to be sent home🤷🏾♂️ that was a easy judge pick
Bruh this dudes grunts
Poor Jim, lol
Wow. A knife isn’t normally going to take punishment like that.
Well it is a combat knife
The blade didn't chip, the chip bladed.
I know that it will cut but will it keal ?
What happen to the glove in the beginning?
I can find every other one with the KA-BAR but the marine episode isn't on here wtf?
Chip in the blade is a mega oof seven chips i would be freaking out
Oldboy got caught lacking
My heart is going 1000 mph
That can need some flex tape
Interesting!
thats a lot of damage
2:22 where is the glow?- start with the glove ..and after? disappear?
So no one is looking Et How he wanted to laugh at his blade on 4:29
the first guy blade never puncture the tin can thats why his knife survive
"Make us a combat knife"
Bladesmiths: Alright
"Now we will take your combat knives and use it for something combat knives are not meant to do"
Bladesmiths: *Wait what*
I feel like some of these tests are done in the wrong order lol
Then you have no idea how to test a knife...
The ONLY thing that makes sense is to test its sharpness after its recieved use...not before.
" IT WILL CAT "
Back in nam
so who had to leave? it was a real hard competition because...i can't finish that sentence, i am too busy lmao
the old guy Jim.
AMMO CAN? This is the most difficult strength test ive ever seen on this show
HE HATES THESE CANS!!!
This show should have been made by Japanese.
Would have been much more respect for knifes and much time put in to making them.
My combat/survival knife is made by Esee. 💪🇺🇸
Jacob Sebastien TOPS yo!!!
Can it cut Flex Tape I don't think it can
Why were you using ammo crates
Robert Lee I think they had a military theme for this episode. I think all the contestants are ex military
I just hope Phil swift doesnt get a hold of these
0:46 its markplier guys lol
Does anybody know why they replaced jay with Ben ?
Question in what situation would u need to stab and hack at a empty ammo box???🤔🤔🤔
When an ammo box is attacking you duh.
I'm not one to complain about how they do tests buuutt i feel like using the knifes on ammo canisters were a little harsh. Despite that they held up really well! Except for the last one..
Was thinking that for what reason would you use a knife in an ammo box in this way
It's to test the heat treatment and hardening of the knife. I've seen knives be put through worse and come out relatively unscathed. You won't be using a knife for stabbing these things, but its a pretty good test in general.
Do they get to take there weapons back with them
No, but they're blacksmiths after all. They can always make another one.
why not do the sharpness test before destroying the kinfe
He has a glove for stabbing but then takes it off for the chopping?
I feel bad for the old timer
If it doesnt cut then does that mean it wont KEEL?
It will kat
knifes like kid made them
where is the "It will keel" REEEEEEEEEEEE
Why does the first guy look like markiplier?
Is it just me or is it nerverecking that these blades could snap and go flying to anywhere.
Wait who got sent away?
Does anyone think Wil Willis in forged in fire looks like a movie Gillian? (No hard feelings Wil)
It will not cut 😔😔
Next up on Forged in Fire: Traditional AK-47
But will it kut?
but will it keel?
Is it appropriate to have a sharpness test right after a durability test...?
Yes to see after use does it remain sharp or quickly lose its edge a knife needing constantly sharpened can be a big hassle a good edge will take abuse and remain deadly sharp
