Love! @5:18
😀
Nothing better then the pup chilling with you in the garage while you build a engine.
I love when there is no talking, just getting right down to business. Great video series.
I‘m a retired oral surgeon and (thank god) I will never have to do that, but ........ this was a morning Zen session! And for that, even though I normally hate music in the background of videos, this one was helping with the Zen feeling. I forgot to eat my muesli! It was a pleasure watching you, you would have made a good surgeon too. Thanks for sharing, colleague!
I used to work in a Subaru dealership and was always fascinated when watching the mechanics putting these and the 6 cyl engines back together. These engines are for the most part, long living and dependable.
Wonderful video! I`ve spent 40 years teaching automotive apprentices, and for me its a real pleasure watching a skilled craftsman work. Nice job on the broken studs.
the grease i use :

LOVED this!!!!!!! You can tell you're German - everything is clean, tidy and done precisely - BIG thumbs up!!
and you dont speak English. Plus the German Shepherd dog gives it away.

Painting happy little bearings.
Bob Ross is a Boss
I don't even have a subaru and I'm in love with these silent videos
That's the only reason I like it. To see what those who love these cars have to deal with. Lots of O rings and small fasteners. Too few head studs too far away from the cylinders. A complicated engine with a million parts. Or so it seems.
Very good video. The best: no jingle, no backpipe.
Its nice to see someone use a torque wrench properly. Nice work, clean, organize. Well done.
The sound of the piston head sliding into the guide at 6:59 was too sexy... This was so friggin satisfying to watch! Thank you so much for making this video.
super excellent......organised, skilled, clean...exact tools...big respect from Mauritius
Awesome and you made it look easy if you got the right tools and equipment. I love the wrapping and boxer tape.
Tools, equipment and skill. Skill being a very major factor.
I learned that the hard way when i decided to replace my rear wheel bearings on my own. I know a guy with a proper shop that lets me work there on my car, so tools and equipment were there. Took me friggin 8 hours to replace one! Didn't have the time or nerves to start with the second. Had to ask another guy with a shop if he could do it, cause the other went on vacation. Came back after about 1.5h to check up on progress and caught him putting my wheel back on.
I enjoy watching a craftsman at work
The developers of Car Mechanic Simulator have really knocked it out of the park this time.
I can watch this all day long 👌
Never subscribed to a channel as fast as this. Methodical, flat 4 and relaxing? Yes yes yes!
Watching the meticulous attention to detail and the quality of the re-build, this is one man I would trust with my engine re-build if I lived a little closer (I'm in New Zealand). Top quality video; very impressed
I am a young mechanic. I am keen on motors, and now I know what level of service I want to reach
Beautiful seeing a real craftsman take pride in his excellent work. I love how he made it look so simple to align the connecting rods with the pistons to set the wrist pins
How clean this guys shop is amazes me!!!
Everything is so clean. i love the detail put into it
This video is excellent. I now have a full understanding of why there's always a puddle of oil in my driveway every time my friend parks their Subaru at my house.
Coming close to one of my favourite channels! Lots of informative action, good tunes and an impressively clean/organised workshop 👌🏼 Thank you, keep up the good work 🤙🏼
Cool! Never seen a boxer taken apart before and assembled before.
That is right speed of video, thank you!
Always love watching you assemble an engine, you make it look easy. PS Your english is a hell of a lot better than my German!
thanks for this video! it was a great help, its been 3weeks that i'm suffering from insomia, then i watched the disassembling and reassembling of the engine, I fell asleep at the middle.. thanks alot!
AMAZING JOB! SUPER CLEAN ENGINE AFTER DISAASEMBLY. BETTER THAN ASSEMBLING NEW ENGINES FOR MERC. WELL ORGANIZED. CLEAN SHOP ! I feel envious....
Seu trabalho na oficina é primoroso, mas a participação do seu cachorro é melhor ainda, parabéns!
I'm from Curitiba, Paraná, Brasil!
I discovered you channel today, and suscribed of course. The quality is great and your skills are amazing, congrats! Cheers from Buenos Aires
Вот настоящий мастер своего дела какая КРАСОТА!

I wish they did this kind of quality craftmanship in America.
I love videos like this! thanks for posting! Great content as always!!
Наверное не один я залипаю от данного ролика. Молодец 👍
That was nice !
From a Aussie 2012 subaru owner
Love how everything is so clean ! Love the videos bro keep up the great builds 😍
Curto muito seus videos aqui no Rio de janeiro, Brasil. Um detalhe que gostaria de ver era o fechamento do motor parcial detalhando o torque de cada parafuso.
much prefer a camera that does not move. I understand you can not please everyone... great vids.
That's the cleanest shop I've ever seen. Great vid!
Mann dass ist soo entspannend da zuzugucken, Schaade dass ich nicht auch so ne Arbeit habe.
Love your content ! Keep up the good work ! Greatings from Belgium
I had a 1986 XT. The timing belt broke. Turbo leaked AF it overheated and the head cracked. Never bought another one. Now I have a BOSS 302 and will never go back to a 4 cyl
Until youre government start to put europes prices on gas. Than you probably would consider a small blown engine i guess
Warms my heart to see engine assembly lube applied with a paintbrush. Are you wearing video recording glasses? Great sound! Music unnecessary, those cracks and clicks sound awesome edited back to back.
Pretty sure the camera is on his chest in the beginning and when he mounts the 3rd and 4th piston he has moved it to his forehead. You can see when he uses the flashlight to check if the lock is in place the POV is either too low or too high, to properly see it.
Erdbeermarmelade für die Hauptlager, jawoll :-D
I particularly enjoyed the yazz flute
Why is this so relaxing? I wish I knew how to do all this stuff.
Your a BMF for boxer engines thanks again.
Awesome . Absolutely loved the attention to all the little details, great video, liked and subbed 👍🏻
True workmanship
Great video. The problems with the old screws well resolved. Good job, better impossible.
No even a Subaru guy, but this video was really relaxing to watch, nice job!
Soo nice, this vid is like therapy 👍
Watched this, bought myself a socket set from halfords, now I've got a pile of bits,.he made it look so easy...😳🇬🇧
Man you Germans got some badass tools.
Amazing restoration!
Merci, très instructive. J'ai mieux compris la partie assemblage embiellages vilebrequin, je me demandais comment on faisait pour ce type de moteur (idem sur Honda Goldwing)
Like your four legged shop helper. 🐶❤️🐶❤️
They look so awesome when they are fresh (any motor). Nice vid. Good thing you didn't spot that O-ring on the table as you taped it up... Naa! just kidding! Great work!
how can 104 viewers give this a thumbs down? he has the knowledge and a beautiful shop. love the soda blaster with the wiper.
great to watch i have owned three Subaru outbacks starting with the outback H-4 Six Cylinder then the 2.4 Outback and finally the Car I drive know is the 2011 outback diesel Boxer turbo this is the best car I have owned out of the three I wish I had of bought the diesel boxer earlier

Saran Wrapped to keep in that Boxer freshness.
Not a subi fan but this is like meditating
How can anyone not like Subaru?
I enjoy see your work......greeting from Argentina.....!
You have a beautiful shop. I wish I had one just like that.
Great video just being picky but first head bolt grease was good 2nd head bolt grease could get on the head gasket better to apply it like the first head I'm not German I just act like one
That's a nice damn tool box love the green
Love this video, you are one systematic mechanic!!
World class. Would be awesome if you had this video super in depth with detailed instruction and teaching but excellent video either way
That is the goofiest looking hammer ever.
What? The one specifically designed to hit pistons into a block?
Snap on ! baby
Awesome video, almost hypnotic watching the details you put into your work. Subscribed!

Total pleasure to watch a true professional at work! New subscriber here!
Extra points for having your dog in the video.
Excellent job!
Fantastic. Thank you.
love the videos! Can you do a video on assembling the rods and crank bearings. Dont see any videos on youtube about that. Thanks!
kevin wong look my other shortblock build there is a detail video
I work for mahle so I can tell the pistons you used were mahle Haha good choice! Forged Johnnys
Sei il TOP DEL TOP 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I think maybe a camera on a tripod might be the way to go. I found the movement, particularly in fast-mo a little bit harrasing. Great skills though.
Le meilleur video que j'ai jamais vu!!!!!!!!Fantastique. The best video i have ever seen!!!!fantastisch.
Great clean job mate!
Amazing video, greetings from Brazil
There's definitely an art to getting those gudgeon pins back in :)
So thick sleeves, nice
Great job as usual. It seem to be a spec c engine, with the casting on the bloc but the sleeve are much thicker than usual. Oem or aftermarket?
OEM Spec C Engine case :)
Amazing work as usual. Thank you.
