Tamagotchi 4U English Patch - First basic test

- A video I shot of testing my first prototype patcher for the Tamagotchi 4U and since it just worked perfectly. I've uploaded it to share this moment with everyone.
This patch changes graphics only for basic testing. Knowing now that the 4U can be patched. I'll work on translating and patching the most important stuff for a first public patch,

This is fantastic! I hesitate to really get into the P's because I don't want to take it around with me...they really should have included at least one non-gem-studded shell...

I ask here because I don’t know where to ask and contact you: is it possible to ask for custom characters to be added on 4U? Is there someone who accepts requests? I’d love to see the Niziu characters on 4U but I don’t know if it’s possible! Thanks in advance.

hello! what to do if patch won't go through? when choosing EP1-4U my tamagotchi character just hops happily and nothing happens. are you only supposed to use 1 nfc device per tama4u? i have two and the other one I just can't patch at all (stated problem above)

am I missing something? I went to his website and followed the instructions but after going to the heart, 3rd option then seeing the little download screen on the Tama it didn't do anything. it just continued with the game until it got sad and wouldn't let me press the heart /.\ I downloaded the app and turned the nfc on and everything
Yeah, we are an iPhone family, but we have a few android devices around, nothing works yet. The closest I have is a Samsung galaxy Note 2, the program just shuts down. The Tama reacts to the NFC field, so maybe? Is there a patch for the phone? I don't use it for anything else.
In the most recent version, is it safe to deleted the custom outing (the patch outing) after we install the patch? Just wanted to make sure I don't break my tama XD

Hey, I'm very late to the game... But I just got my tamagotchi in the mail and have noooooooooo idea what's going on... I did try to get the English patch on my LG H831 and it doesn't seem to work.it just won't connect... I got the app and it will connect randomly I think to meet friends?? But it doesn't seem to connect to the app itself?? Please help!!!

I got my Sharp Aquos phone off EBay, the App works great on my 4u and 4u+. I got the 4u into English, but the plus say it's not compatible, will there be a 4u+ patch? Your stuff also works much better with this phone via the IR than the PDA I was using. I've been using your stuff for the P's the ID and IDL too! Genius! I am still a noob about the characters in the 4u app, is there a video demo about how they work? Are they like the change on the IDL or the P's pierce changes? Thanks for all the excellent hard work!
Yes I'll make patches for the 4U+ too. I just can't tell you when they will be available in the app for download. For the 4U characters' they work a bit like the P's you have to use their favorite item 3 times as a teen. Check the characters in the notebook on your 4U(+) for info about what the item is you have to use. The 4U app also gives hints to which item you should use.
MstrBlinky Cool! Thanks! Your the best! I'll check it out, I saw the items just under the diary section. I'm really hoping this phone could work on the Tama MIX too, it would be nice to have it all on one device like I do now.

This would be awesome, as I was going to buy a P's after I saw you had eng patched it, then I saw you were doing the same for the 4U, so I assumed you would do it for the M!x eventually, so I bought one. i'd certainly love to after I've completed the 4U and 4U+ translations. But I first have to find out if the Mix! is hackable as the Mix uses a different way of communication then the older color tamagotchi's (P's, iDL, iD)

Hi! This App is amazing, I was able to download the English patch to my 4U with my Motorola 5G last year, however, my phone had to be reset to factory settings; I downloaded the App again on the same phone but, for some reason the download page no longer shrinks so I can tap to send the information to my 4U. Do any of you guys know how I could troubleshoot the phone so it works again? The NFC in the 4U is working just fine.

I have 2 comparable phones. An HTC one m9 and a Samsung galaxy 5s and neither will patch my tamagotchi. I even had it replaced with another. Help

+MstrBlinky So I was searching on google for a cheaper nfc option and saw that there were usb nfc readers/writers. Do you think i could use one of those to patch my 4u when the patch is done? I really don't have enough money for a tablet at the moment considering I'm only thirteen years old and my family doesn't like spending 100-300 dollars on a tablet I'm going to use for one thing
NFC Readers do not work as they are not supported by the App. Using them with a computer is no option either is a custom program needs to be written to transfer downloads.

This is great! However, I believe there is a mistake in translation. When you show the characters from the list and how to obtain them, you show female characters, and yet the instruction says that "a boy teenager should do this and this to become this character", so I guess it should be changed to "girl". ;)

Any info if the 4u app is coming compatible for my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge), country is Finland. at the moment it doesn't seem to want to transfter anyhting from app to 4u, though 4u recognizes the nfc wihtout the app running
I'm affraid even the newer Samsung Eurpean models will remain incompatible :/

Hey, before i bought one of these tamas i was wondering if you knew if the app worked with my phone and could send items? i hear if you cant use the app the tamagotchi 4u and 4u+ isnt as good. its a samsung galaxy s6, but it is a s6 active model. SAMSUNG-SM-G890A
According to my logs the SAMSUNG-SM-G890A from the US can send items to the 4U/4U+. However I can't tell you how well. Samsung devices are known to have poor connectivity with the 4U/4U+ and European models don't work at all.
My Samsung Note 4 N910T (TMobile) NFC connection works with the 4U.

Is there anyway you can add LG Volt to the lost of compatible devices? My phone can connect to the Tamagotchi and build its house ect. But it won’t download items to it. That’s the only thing sad about it. Other then that it does work

Is it fully complete? Because still after that patch it’s all in Japanese
If you read the discription you'd know that the patch translates graphics and all the menu's. items and dialogs will be handled in future patches.
