First time I saw Dan was in Panto in Bournemouth. It was Cinderella. He and Alan Haynes were the ugly sisters. Together they were terrific, both huge professionals. I was about 8/9. That was about 58 years ago!! I saw him at his club in Hanover square. I was underage with a great deal of makeup on! Danny at the Palace was great too.
As they say, they don’t make em like that anymore!!
