Really, never seen anything like it. The plot, the pacing, the characters, their development and the relationship they share with each other. Everything's excellent and unique. I freaking love Yuki and Tohru's relationship. Seeing how they didn't make it into a silly love triangle was the best thing.

As a 25 year old man, I can firmly say that this show and manga, tear my heart up, I get legit ridiculous burst of feeling from almost every scene in this show. God damn they are doing a great job in the reboot!
As a 29 year old man who watched the original series and then read the manga, I'm right there with ya. When you know the material so well, you don't need to know the words to the song; just feel the emotion in the opening.

I love this OP song. It reminds me of OPM/Original Philippine Music or K-drama love songs. You don't hear this kind of singing in anime much which is a nice treat.

I started to watch fruits basket with my ex and we finished it all. While watching the anime I started to learn this opening on piano so I could play it for her. Unfortunately we broke up a couple of months ago and I never really got to play it for her. I almost forgot about this until today when I sat down at my piano and started to play. So many memories and so many feelings are in this opening and I don't regret anything

フルバそのものが批判されているのではなく、
旧フルバ派と新フルバ派で分かれただけです。
昔から見ていた人は、旧に慣れていて、どうしても新を受け入れられないという人もいますし、
新からフルバに入った人や、現代風のアニメに慣れている人は、昔のアニメにあまり慣れなかったりと、お互いに受け入れがたい人達も中にはいるのです。
おそらくその批判コメとは、
旧⇄新のことではないでしょうか…？
もちろん、どっちも好きだという人はいます！
