It's saying sayonara (goodbye) bc at first Kyo is there and the bamboos represent the cage and he is reaching out to the sun and Tohru is surrounded by sunflowers reaching out a hand as well, but he doesn't know how he can be with her so goodbye.
Is it just a coincidence that Kyo is wearing the same Kimono the previous cat owner was wearing when he was confined? Does the bamboo surrounding Kyo represent the cage for the cat?
Yes the bamboos represent as a cage and you can see that Kyo is reaching for the sun which symbolizes Tohru in the field of sunflowers so he's reaching out to Tohru
The lyrics when kyo first appears says something like "goodbye tomorrow" which could represent how kyo doesn't think he can be with tohru and how he feels confined. (tohru is the sunflower/light in his life) :"(

I just noticed something interesting about the ending, specifically the order the images are shown in! We know that the zodiacs are named after archaic Japanese names for the months their respective zodiac animals are associated with, except for Kureno and Momiji, whose names are swapped by mistake. What this ending does is show their names in the correct order, since Kureno's and Momiji's positions in the cycle are swapped here, too. Furthermore, Yuki, who would normally be first in the cycle, is shown as the last zodiac, closest to Akito; their images appear to be negatives of each other and mirror each other, too. Tohru, shown last, is the furthest away from Kyo, who is placed at the very beginning, usually Yuki's spot; but their connection is evident by Kyo reaching for the sunlight while Tohru is standing in a field of sunflowers. *Edit:* I spoke too soon. For a comprehensive analysis, I'm going to redirect you here: ruclips.net/video/vz3iBxKZ3vk/видео.html
The Japanese lunisolar calender begins with the Ox which is januaury and hence Yuki the Rat is actually december the last month so he's shown the last Yeah the images of Yuki and Akito mirror each other and another detail is that he's holding a white rose which symbolises devotion obedience silence and innocence whereas Akitos holding a red camellia which symbolises divinity
You see Yukis background has so much white touch, I think it represents his overall kindness and having a pure heart of just wanted love and understanding for others. 🥺🤍
Now that I notice it, this ED has many references. I got quite a lot like: 1. Kyo's reaching out for the sun, Tohru's surrounded in sunflowers, also reaching out a hand. And it says "Sayonara" (Goodbye) at first bc Kyo doesn't know how he can be with Tohru. 2. Kyo's in bamboos representing the cage, his kimono which the previous cat was wearing. 3. The leaves behind Kagura seem like from bamboo trees, representing her looking after Kyo. 4. Tohru's mom, Kyoko has Higanbana which represents "Never to meet again". But it also symbolizes abandonment so it's foreshadowing of Tohru's childhood and Kyoko's feelings when she died. 5. Yuki represents winter (Yuki means snow in Japanese) as in he felt cold in that dark room he was in. And the flower Yuki has represents purity and innocence as in Yuki only ever wanted Tohru as a mother-like figure. 6. The irises around Ayame represent wisdom, trust, if you get what I mean. 7. Kureno has an extra yukata like something on his hands which is red, Akito's wearing an extra red something on top of Akito's yukata. 8. The flower Akito's holding symbolizes passionate love, desire (Her last monologue), honorable death (Probably foreshadowing how Akito decided to stay by their abuser to atone for what Akito's done.) 9. Tohru reaching out in the end is a little of a parallel to how she reached out for Akito. 10. In hanakotoba, sunflowers/Himawari, that Tohru is surrounded by mean radiance, deep love and respect. There are probably more references but that's about what I figured.
@@poorvikasharma5112 I replayed the song again and again and researched from wiki and stuff then reached those conclusions, anyone else could as well (I mean if you research well enough you should be able to get those references). Also I think Isuzu/Rin represents her alluring and high-temper personality but actually hiding lot of hurts (that scar, tho). Also Hiro with all that grass represents his appearance is still "green" but his personality it's "grow" somehow.
Those red butterflies in Kyoko's image represents her past as a delinquent when she was called the Crimson Butterfly and the flower of death that Akihto is holding represents her twisted mind and her evil personality.

Can we just take a second to appreciate how goddamn beautiful the art in this anime is?? And the character designs too. They're just so well-drawn and the character's personalities have been well-executed through their appearance and costume. In conclusion, beautiful anime, 101% underrated.
Season 3 made it to the top on MAL not for long thanks to toxic FMA fans but it did make it to the top. It's not really underrated but yeah I think it is popular but deserves much more recognition.

-Kagura / willow - fertility, new life, resilient
-Yuki / Paulownia - known as the ‘princess tree’ because it was once customary to plant a tree like that when a baby girl was born, good luck
White rose - purity, innocent, friendship, devotion
-Akito / red Camellia - perfection, deep desire, divine
-Tohru / sunflower - adoration, loyalty, longevity
It goes with the characters perfectly and wasn't Akito given the Red Camellia by Shigure in season 3
The fact that the clover bush means unrequited love is interesting bc I'm pretty sure Kisa returns Hiro's feelings XD
@@mitsubachihachi9643 not during the anime though. Kisa even thought Hiro might love Rin
ふと思い出してきたけどいつ聞いてもめちゃくちゃ最高🥹
曲もMVも神ってる!!
One of my favourite endings in all of anime tbh

あと、それぞれのキャラクターの性格と花言葉がしっかりマッチしていて深いですな
