  • As you all may know, I love all things Judas Priest, and especially the Albums that included KK Downing. I was bummed when he was not allowed to return to the band and was happy to see him form KK's Priest with Time "the Ripper" Owens. This song harkens back to the glory days of Judas Priest and is about as Priest as Priest can be.

Someone said Tim Owens had the "worst vocals ever?" What? He's an amazing singer! I even loved the two Priest albums he featured on!

KK was the inspiration for the Sentinel song as well as the song Sinner hence the references. Rob made many Priest references in his solo stuff. Big Priest fan 🤘🤘🤘

This is as good as anything rob can sing and it's as good as anything judas priest can play reason being its traditional to the sound and its two albums in three years for kk where for priest we might be lucky to get a new one every five to eight years keep rocking kk

It's a solid tune for sure. Who ever thinks Ripper Owen's is a terrible singer. Needs to get their ears checked. Tim is solid on point

Has anyone taken into account that KK may have had written these tracks long time ago, they seem to be a continuation of a story that begun when he was in JP. So why would he not use works written that could have originally been for JP in his new group which is a continuation of KK and his own story.
I was there at the Mill and saw the first live show, man they blew the roof totally off the new track Reap the Whirlwind (not released) is absolutely incredible! KKs Priest isn’t a JP cover band, their a whole new entity and band o there own.

Basically long story short man, tensions were rising between KK and the band and management. Keep in mind Glenn was and i think still is sleeping with the bands manager... That was a huge thing from what I read within KK's book. There's definitely more thats going on than being said. KK has every right to name it KKs Priest, although I myself woulda came up with a completely new name. Kk feels though that he deserves to be labeled Priest, and its true. Hes been a longer member than any current member. Let him do his thing. Plus the music kicks fucking ass!!!

It's not that they won't let him back in. Obligations to who they are with now is the reason. He choose to leave. All the cat fighting is nonsense and not necessary. No FATE we do not create

K.K. Downing and Ian Hill started JP. I believe ( if my info is correct ) K.K. and Ian brought Glenn in. And one of them k ew about Rob and his 4 octave range and the rest is Metal History History

I just feel these songs go nowhere like Nostradamus and the lyrics are some of the worst I've heard in rock but I saw Kks special show in 2019 and it was incredible and I will go see them this year as I thought they sounded great live playing JP songs

Think it’s a good metal song but for me a third a good as JP’s without the “More”. Why? Guitar - what makes the JP song better is the classic Tipton/Downing combo of melodic and speedy/thrashy - not the same here. Vocals - Hell ya Ripper can sing, but Halford has that very unique ability to add nuisance to his vocals throughout the song - take a close listen to “One Shot at Glory”, it’s amazing the adjustments to his vocals he makes to support the theme of the song. Ripper doesn’t deliver that IMOH, great singer but not nuisanced enough for me compared to Halford.

I did note, but I don't think I commented, that they do the dual vocal thing with the main vocal normal and then a very HIGH vocal paired with it. That to me was a little too "copy-cat" of the way Priest has recorded Rob on many many tracks.
