You guys. Please please please stop saying that Yeonjun’s antidepressants are *causing* hallucinations. That is so damaging. (On top of the fact there's zero evidence of him taking anything in the whole MV) The chances of that happening to a person bc of their medication are so low and medication for mental illness is ALREADY stigmatized.
I don’t know where this idea came from but it’s not okay!! If it were only a few people I would let it go but it’s so so many people.
Also his bracelet is not what people wear in hospitals, it’s more for being used in music festivals or at a carnival or something (or even the pool!).
There is no grounds in the MV that this is what is happening. We don't actually see anything related to a mental hospital or YJ being hospitalized, nor taking antidepressants.
This is sometimes a side effect - it does happen, though it is outside of the norm. I don't want to dismiss the people who hallucinate and see themselves in YJ in this MV. That is not my point.
I take issue with the fact it was being dramatized and taken way out of context and into the realm of negative stigma.
Please do not attack the original poster(s). Instead, please consider how you view things, and take it as a way to bring more awareness to mental health issues.

Hi Laina! So I noticed a common theme within the TU. In the beginning before Magic Island, (Where they all appeared to have died.) They were always together.
At the end of Runaway, Taehyun was left behind. Then in can't you see me, after Soobin's house was burned down, he was left alone. At the end of eternally Kai was left alone and in drama Beomgyu was left alone. Now Yeonjun is left alone in I know I love you. In the crown music video, (Which we know is how the story ends) They say "Stop the lonliness abracadabra. Stop the suffering abracadabra."
So, I think the magic really is them being together.

1) yeonjun is wearing hospital bands throughout and I believe a green ribbon while he’s driving (mental health awareness)
2) when we see a “solo” shot of beomgyu in front of the buildings the other 4 members are staring back at him
3) when yeonjun wakes up in the end he is dry and the car is perfectly fine
4)When taehyun rips his cast off something in yeonjun seems to change or awaken and he’s back in his room
5) The fish are Beta fish
6) When yeonjun does his dance on the gravel we only hear his footsteps and voice

Betta fish symbolize unlikely warriors; they are small and appear weak, but can actually fight and work through incredibly difficult situations (meaning of beta fish from Google) it kinda ties in as yj is dealing with a mental illness

One thing I noticed is that there are multiple shots where the boys are relying on Kai. For example Taehyun and Soobin getting a piggy back from Kai and Beomgyu resting on his shoulder. Also in the choreography, when they hold up Kai it looks like they are clinging onto him as well. So I think this adds to how the boys view him as an angel.
Major Spoilers to TEOTFW on Netflix ahead!!!
The MV draws inspiration from the Netflix series “The End of the F***ing World”, referenced in Soobin’s shirt from the comeback teaser and the song’s line “to the end of the world”. In the show, the character James steals his dad’s car and runs away with the character Alyssa, whom he originally plans to kill. The car explodes and they break into a stranger’s house. The stranger comes home and tries to hurt Alyssa, so James kills the stranger. Then, the two have nowhere to go because they are being chased by police.
I think this connects to the meaning of the song because in both the show and the song, the main character is ready to give up their life, James believes he’s a psychopath and is ready to leave his life behind. Kai’s line says he was fine to die and Soobin says he has no place in heaven. Like The Doom’s Night, there are major apocalyptic themes, like it’s the end of the world. I think this meaning really gives the song a feeling of desperation!

the fish in the sky kinda reminds me of “fish upon the sky” which means impossible or out of reach as it is impossible to find a fish in the sky. whatever yeonjun was “dreaming” about could be his fish upon the sky. something thats impossible for him to have.
Their expressions when they started another fire, they weren't sad or afraid. They were happy.
Also I have to say the fact that every stage turns purple and usually has purple plants literally gives me chills...
In the first teaser, Yeonjun does the same dance, and dances his way out of the frame. Just like in the MV. Then it shows the fishes swimming in the tank, and it cuts to him and Beomgyu swimming (in the teaser). Also, when the members are dancing towards the end, it keeps cutting back to Yeonjun dancing in his house, alone.
It adds to the theory that Yeonjun is imagining his friends being there. He's dancing alone in his house, and imagining his friends dancing with him.
He sits down and watches the fishes in the tank with a sad expression (7:00, and 7:33), which could be why there are so many random fishes in the sky (He's daydreaming about being with the rest of the members while looking at actual fishes)

On days of being wild - I didn't watch but I read a couple articles and I think in general really fits txt's themes:

Alot of ppl also says the mv pays homage to another film by the same director as days of being wild, called happy together and it's a queer film!!! But all in all it's a realistic depiction of a toxic relationship where the couple have an on and off relationship. An article I read said this: "[As the film] goes on we only see them drifting further and further apart. Happy Together is a love story of sorts, but ultimately it’s more about falling out of love than it is staying in love." For txt it doesn't have to be a romantic love, rather a friendship love, and we KNOW their friendship is falling apart soooo
And some of the fish are Betta fish aka Siamese fighting fish which are loner fish and I think in the mv it represents their feelings of loneliness. I don't think they're hallucinations tbh tho I think he's remembering what happened and trying to recreate it (just without the others)

I don't know how important it is to the storyline or if it's intended or not but I love the reference to the netflix series "The End of this F**** World". In one of the teasers Soobin was wearing a shirt with the title on it and the scenes in which the car breaks down really reminded me of the series.
Soobin: “I'm not going to make it
I won't be able to get into heaven
I don't belong there
No place for me in heaven”
While crawling to the water surf/ to the surface of the hole.
Right after that T pushes K in to the water/ hole. Then B pushed T (as a revenge?) and follows him. Y is the last one. I feel like this up and down is a metaphor for heaven and hell or innocence and adolescence as in wanting to stay on magic island or accepting that change and reality.
Y is the last one and in the end we see him alone with wett hair so maybe everyone “growing up” forced him to do so too.
What if the abandoned building in the back is their which they burnt in run away mv? The pool is empty now so they try to recreate the feeling of being back in school by placing the portable pool there.
The time is the same as the time on the school(?) in the comeback show animation trailer so I’m guessing it does have some significance. I looked up 10:10 and saw that it’s an angel number and there was also a song that came up.

The Hogwarts, castle like thing weirdly made me think of Miss Penagrins home for Peculiar Children which kinda makes sense since each of them have this like power? YJ has the horns, SB has the elf ears, TH has the eye, BG has the spikes on his back and Kai has his wings.... idk
About the members looking and BG reminds me of Drama expect BG is looking at something or someone else.
Now. Many people mentioned Yeonjun's bracelet and how the members are hallucinations and that's why they mentioned a drug but what if it's the cat. Like the cat is trying to separate the members by playing with the members minds.
So for Yeonjun it would be his friends. The cat will make it seem like his friends are just from some dream or a hallucinating. Meaning the cat is using Yeonjun's feeling of loneliness, since you have his "parents" fighting he feels safe with his friends and so the cat uses that against him.
I'm sure how the cat would do this for Soobin and Taehyun since they seem to be the most aware on the whole Magic Island and chaos stuff but maybe for Soobin it would be his hope to be together tomorrow and forever (I have no idea for Taehyun) maybe both Soobin and Taehyun attack their past selves to keep themselves from creating the chaos???
In Kai's case I think he was an angle born without wings (got this idea from PIXY's storyline hehe) and so the star or maybe the cat [in a different form] gave him mechanical wings but Kai realises he doesn't belong with the others thus the line "I don't belong in heaven" and so he is like a fallen angel and that's why in eternity he has different wings.
For Beomgyu the cat uses the feelings of jealousy and sadness? Since Beomgyu wants to be the main character like Yeonjun the cat tricks Beomgyu to join forces with him [this is something I have been sticking with for a long time now and I'm not letting go untill Laina or HYBE say otherwise!] and that is why there is a creepy Voodoo doll bear because the bear is Beomgyu!
(I am not familiar with IT since my mom will never let me watch it and even if I secretly try to she somehow manages to have an eye on me at all times so I am not at all well versed in it but the clown reference could be connected with ENHYPEN's carnival)

my theory is that they are in the sunken place. like we saw in the teaser when yeonjun was dancing, with the camera behind a fish tank. at the part in the music video where yeonjun dances out the room, leading the other boys, he's dancing like that cos he is imitating the fish. then shortly afterwards, when beomgyu tries to put on the lighter, it didn't work next to them because THEY ARE IN WATER!! however, when he threw it to the car (the car being part of reality), the car blew up. this also perfectly fits with the 'sinking alone' lyrics coming up the chorus.
another part that i noticed:
- the teaser picture for soobin, where there was a 'hear no evil, see no evil' concept with taehyun and beomgyu FITS INTO when we saw taehyun push kai into the water, then a split second after, we see taehyun feeling sorry, lowering his head, with soobin monitoring him as we see him blurred out near him (1:48 in music video for reference). after this, we see another split second of taehyun sitting alone in a grass field, again looking like he feels sorry (2:05 in mv for reference), THEN BEOMGYU PUSHES HIM INTO THE WATER!! aka the sunken place.
sort of a weird thought but in yeonjun's dancing scene i feel like they were really calling out the

something just came to my mind. What if they show us yeonjun looking at the normal fishes to let us know that the parts where are fishes fyling around is a dream, and that way let us know that he dreams about things that he actually sees while he's awake so the guys and their friendship being part of the dream means that it is or it was actually true in real life.
I just want to add in that betta fish ( the one that kai sees out the window ) also known as a siamese fighting fish symbolizes things such as individuality, defiant spirit, freedom. Also gonna note that the fish in certain parts of the MV are white and it could be an albino fish but it's more blue-ish gray and albino betta fish tend to be more reddish/pink. The betta fish also does not have any of the betta fish sort of tails but it could just be folded a certain way. It may be a delta tail just a little closed up or folded, can't remember the word.
Also this is really random, but I also think soobin is eating chips out of a can? I don't think this has anything to do with a theory but I just found in interesting.
About yeonjuns earring, I don't think it has a specific shape unless it has been changed from the beginning from the mv. When they start up the car you can see a clear image of it if you're curious.
On the sleeve of beomgyu's jacket it says something like "above __ m-something tolerance & reality or something ending in ality (fs) if that has anything to do with it.
The car is not rolling off when it starts moving, I think it's just yeonjun driving it because when you see them pushing the car yeonjun is still inside the car.
Back onto the topic of betta fish, the fish in yeonjuns tank aren't betta fish, I don't think. Their tails are different from any sort of betta fish tail unless anyone is wondering. Near the end of the video there is another scene with yeonjun behind a fish tank with orange fish. Out of all the fish tanks I've spotted slash the one I assume is a fish tank, there are about three. The one in yeonjuns room with the large blue fish in the air, another one in the scene where soobin eats the chips out of the can in the background, those fish are different types of fish, and then one near the end with orange fish.
And then the betta fish above the pool are purple, purple betta fish are the rarest color of betta fish.
Also, in the pool scene only yeonjun is wearing a different shirt whereas everyone else is wearing the same clothes as they did during their whole car ride fire thing. But in the scene around 3 minutes 52 seconds yeonjun is wearing the same shirt as before. It could be he's just wearing three shirts and he took the first two off to swim which is the most likely.
Also just could be a coincidence but in soobins shoot with the building at around 3 minutes and 50 seconds, in the background you can see a bird flying around.
At around 1 minute 45 seconds in the video yeonjun has three rubber ducks next to him, not sure if that's important whatsoever but it's there.

Because of his actions, yeonjun felt lonely because he doesn't have his members by his side anymore : guilty because he is the cause of it and it leads him to depressions which then leads yeonjun to hallucinate, where the members are still in one piece and by his side..... There’s a theory that the boys other then yj are his hallucinations or his imagination . The theory states that yj is so alone and alienated he's imagined the boys and the fish. That’s why the line “please use me like a drug” is very literal, he seems to be using the imagination as his drug to heal him. Yj seem to snap when taehyun pulls off his cast which may be a reference for him waking up. That’s also why after his little dance we can hear only yj(and seoris) voice and yjs footsteps. The dreams are his coping mechanisms and why he’s all alone ,completely dry and the cars okay at the end.That’s also why we keep cutting back to Yeonjun all alone in his room huddled in a “comfort position” staring confused all around him and to him jamming out to cutting in between him and the boys . That may also be the reason only is spelled as on1y as there is only 1 in this scenario only yeonjun. The boys may have been real once but he might have lost them

I want to say that i think that their song "No Rules" is referencing to depression and it fits to their BOY concept photo, like the song is talking about not wanting to wake up, being a "diamond" in games but irl is being at it's lowest point and just the fact that the lyrics of the song is about having "fun" while trying to ignore their actual lives.
And the fact that there are these lyrics at the end that says "I don't wanna feel this vibe, i want to really stop the vibe, i get tired" and "I don't wanna dance, dance anymore", it feels like they are actually just faking their happiness and wanting to stop but can't.
That relates to the first line in run away when beomgyu says "It feels like everyone is happy but me"
thought they just turned to anarchy and hated the rules they made themselves because they were still rules.

About the fish i think they represent their will to fight or pull through and survive. The fishes are beta fish and i do know a bit about beta fish since i've own several in my childhood, they might look pretty but that's not all, they're fighters and own stood still when another beta fish (or any other living fish) bothers their area. So i guess they symbolize's the boys will to pull through whatever it takes(?), for example Yeonjun's coping mecanism his hallucinations.

OR he was upset and decided to get high, hence the hallucinations, but i think that the darker one it's more probable since it's a txt video lol

I have a theory that all of this is just yeonjun’s imagination its like he is shifting to his dr to escape from all of his problems, like when his parents are fighting, cuz in the MV he was dancing infront of the members but in the teaser he was dancing alone and at the part where they were having fun and jumping and dancing around it keeps on showing a small clips where yeonjun is partying alone in his living room. Also there is a part of him singing alone showing that he was really alone from the start of the music video.
And it kinda prove that he is alone and all of that is just an imagination cuz at the last part you can see the car wasn’t burn, but it doesn’t fit the storyline 😅.. so yea

also i personally feel like yeonjun in this specific mv was trying to run away from his home troubles and made up the other members in an attempt to escape(imaginary friends). it would explain why the members can push each other and directly effect each other but they don’t do that with yeonjun. the fire seems to follow him everywhere (idk if that is good or bad) and in his reality with his ‘friends’ it destroyed his only way back to a life he wasn’t happy with. this mini theory only pertains to this specific music video and it’s contents (without thinking about the full storyline).
however more inline with the storyline, I also think it’s interesting that beomgyu had a broken lighter and still managed to light the car on fire.. this also signifies that this possibly isn’t happening in reality (bc how does a broken lighter start that kind of fire) maybe on magic island. this would explain that when he ‘wakes up’ no ones there and the car never burned. just like how in magic island the forest burned down, but then it didn’t.. it would also explain the random floating fish bc on magic island your inner reality or imagination becomes real. [side not this could also be another reality split so in one timeline the car burned and everyone was with him and in another his car didn’t burn and no one was there]. it’s a bit sad, but honestly both their main storyline and alternate storyline seem sad so…

I've gotta mention my theory about why Yeonjun wakes up alone at the end. I suspect that the rest of the boys were never physically there with him to begin with, but they all traveled to magic island, or something like magic island, separately, in order to hang out together, when they couldn't in the real world. So all the fun they have together is on magic island, and at the end, yeonjun comes back to the real world (wakes up). His friends have gone back to where they were, the car is not really on fire, and Yeonjun has to face the real world, both literally and metaphorically. At least, that was my interpretation.
