damn straight!
This webinar was originally scheduled for investor's only, though as of December 12th, 2023 an email was sent out stating that the webinar will be available to all via RUclips Live. The YT Live video aired on December 13th at 10am PST. I appreciate you posting this for anyone who missed the live event.
She's coming together. Slowly but surely...
Excellent updates! Also please note this event was in 2023 hence "next year" said multiple times means 2024.🙂
Lol, with the way they spin things? Fat chance.
@@user-dr2pg8fk2iCurious what topics you feel were/are spun?
I can’t get enough Aptera news. I hope they make it to production soon.
Thank you for posting. I have a deposit on this vehicle with high hopes of success. My only concern / reservation is seeing the test crash data both for light impacts under 10MPH and Higher impact over 30MPH. What also is a huge concern is the cost of repairs on low impact crashes.
Making a solar charging leaderboard would be a fun thing to add to the dash screen capabilities
As complex as this build is, i think Aptera is moving very fast and doing excellant work .
Can't wait to see the PI builds moving!
Aptera is the coolest car company in the world. The vibe is amazing!
I trust these two.
I watched this live, and wanted to see it again, but it seemed to disappear before I got to it. So glad you posted this. The relaxed nature, at this juncture in their development makes my confidence rise. Thanks Steve for your continuous supportive nature of Aptera.
I am hoping they don't do a SPAC, as an IPO might be a harder push, but personally I believe it makes for less ambiguity and greater clarity. Cutting corners is not always better than doing it right
Fantastic to watch this again Steve, I caught a couple of details that I missed the first time in mid-December. We all look forward to following the Aptera validation testing and production this year!!
Perhaps they could make a small plug in temporary battery pack that plugs into the charger port or belly that has say 1 or 2 kWh or enough to drive the vehicle on or off the ship. Take it back, charge it up, and use it on the next vehicle. Have a set at each end and do not ship those across the ocean, just plug in a new temp battery to get the vehicle from the ship to the final assembly plant. You could then drive it to your shop for permanent battery pack installation.
So excited to have a chance to buy this vehicle. Seeing that giant FCF tub is so exciting.
Thanks you for posting this! Very encouraging answers that give me hope for their future
Yes! Very encouraging. So much so, I should stop investing and start saving. I’m in the low 300’s, hope for March 2025, to drive mine home!
I may put out a yard sign explaining the vehicle as well as slap a few temporary bumper stickers with the name for the first year or two lol
Good idea. It would reduce the amount of people ringing your doorbell and asking "What the heck is that?".
I was thinking of business cards with Aptera's website for when I'm too busy to talk.
For Elio Motors, those owners handed out leaflets at Halloween, then made T-Shirts, had owners meetings and even made stickers to put on the back of their cars with the website and their reservation number. So you can spread the word that way too. It builds momentum.
Hey Ho! My plan [if/when] is to make a QR code decal to stick on the sides of the SEV
@@harriettanthony7352me too!
Thanks Steve. I always wondered why Aptera has these important meetings on weekdays during work hours. I tried to watch it in real time, but missed bits due to having to work. So I appreciate getting to see this video all the way through. I am encouraged with their focus and progress, despite having so much to accomplish before production begins.
I understand the feeling, but Aptera employees have lives too, although I think they themselves may sometimes wonder...
I would say 2 - 6 months after production start may be good too. For IPO.
Beautiful design, I placed my order down a long time ago, hope it will be in mass production soon
I was thinking that we would be seeing the first production vehicles starting to go to customers in July or August but it sounds like that is very doubtful and even next year this time, is even in question. It is clear that Gamma does not have a PI cooling system nor does it actually take a charge from a Tesla fast charging station. (No agreement with Tesla. You can plug it in but that doesn't mean you will get the vehicle charged.) There really is a great that needs to be done before we see vehicles going to customers. I'm hoping that I am wrong about this as I would really like to see my Aptera in my driveway in 2025.
A question that I have not seen an answer to is regarding kids in the Aptera. In many states, kids under the age of 8 are not permitted on a motorcycle. If the Aptera is an autocycle and registered as a motorcycle, does the limit apply to kids? Cars like the Corvette can have infant carriers if the passenger airbag is turned off. Not certain about kids that need a booster seat and if they can be in the front seat. It would be unfortunate if the Aptera were an adult only vehicle.
GADZO! An INTELLIGENT QUESTION! and one I had not thought on. This writer has one that needs a booster seat , great grand kids. It would be a disaster if they could not ride in it. Tho for this writer, by the time I get mine, the kids may be in college

I live in the Republic of Panama and I wish I could have one of these right now it'd be fun to go to California pick one up and drive it all away back home to Panama
curious, aptera could release this by simply setting the unlisted video to published and then it would be official.
I think they want to keep the content on their official channel short and really digestible. You'll notice there's nothing really long on their public facing channel
@@ApteraOwnersClub Where did they release their summary?
Please no SPAC (scamy), I prefer IPO to long term invest much much more with my 401k
Interesting... If Aptera beings to create solar powered battery packs for airports... Those vehicles pretty much sit outside in the sun for a good deal of the day.
Flux Power, another company Chris Anthony took public as CEO is already supplying airport equipment to companies like Delta Airlines. I expect that Aptera Inc. will be supplying some technology as a revenue stream.
This struck me as the only thing that I hadn't heard before.
@@skeptibleiyam1093 I invested in Flux Power, and it has made me VERY happy, especially in the past week. Every analyst following it has rated it a buy, even when some of the performance has been disappointing.
Been noticing Chris been getting thinner last few months...actually I think Steve too but more noticeable with Chris.
The Aptera will get better fuel mileage than my 2020 ZeroSR....but lets see how it does in the mountains at a spirited pace where speeds are slower but lots of hard acceleration and deceleration. My ZeroSR gets about 70-80mile range under this condition.
I need to drop a few myself.
Carnivore diet will do it quickly
Oh Boy! A cusp!
So, when will PI.2 be released? You had me on the edge of my seat there. I know. Predictions are hard, especially about the future.
No SPACs please. That way madness lies.
The answer to the question about the structure of Aptera's relationship to CPC was not an answer to the actual question.
I have already invested $1,000 If investing another $1,000 is it added to the current investing to get the $1,000 off the purchased price?
Steve, I thought I would let you and the viewers know that prior to my recent larger investment into the Accelerator Program I was to receive my reservation in 2025, but since I've put in more I've been moved up to late 2024 and I'm in the 900+ number on the Leader Board.
"insolation" 13:29
Nice one Mr Anthony. New word for me.
Those of us who have been paying attention to solar issues have been using it for a long time. It comes French or Latin; French, from Latin insolation-, insolatio, from insolare to expose to the sun, from in- + sol sun . The first known use was in 1617.
It will cost more to ship fully assembled BinCs from Italy to the United States.
all I ask is to please provide a box of aptera brochures with the sale of each aptera, will save me alot of time having to explain that I'm not from the future, and having to give out the aptera stats..
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this webinar.
Yes! I’ve seen this video and was looking forward to Steve’s comments. Steve adds so much!
I hope they transition BinC assembly into the Aptera factory for the production builds.
It would save a huge amount on global shipping. I have an impression that CCP wants to expand to North America too, so it might turn out that even the production of the BinC panels may move here.
@@robertkirchner7981 That would be great if true.
It's been pretty much public since the meeting just an unlisted video
I'd love to get the launch edition, but I live in snow country, I want an offroad pack, or at least be confident I can run the Aptera in half a foot of snow
I live in Iowa, and have over 6" of snow on the ground now. I expect the Aptera will do better than my Gen 1 Honda Insight, which is still getting us around. Aptera has much better traction control. I will be writing about my experience when the time comes - likely next year.
Please show the first P I. Build
Well it will charge up over time, but its not as if you can rely on the panels for driving each day
Only 10,000 signed up for the launch edition? That surprises me. Figured the majority of the 40,000 plus orders would have it. On the plus side, as I ordered the launch edition, maybe I'll get it much sooner than I thought, even though I'm around 29000.
The Launch Editions are the only variant in play. Outside of the Accelerator vehicles they expected five thousand more LE's. They did say they would make more if the demand was there.
Peeps gotta have their customizations...
@@rngalston
Not initially. According to Sandy Munro, you start production with one variant to streamline the process, avoiding complexities in manufacturing.
@@barnabasseadog7660 yes, I know. I just mean there are those that would rather wait to have a customized vehicle than the generic launch edition.
Steeeeve! I need your commentary! I’m still confused about the motorcycle vs car stuff. My motorcycle doesn’t need seat belts, air bags, side impact protection, crash testing, gas (EV) mileage numbers etc.
Aptera is actually in the autocycle class in the majority of US states. Each state is a bit different and the classification goes by state in the US. Aptera will have many features it isn't required to, including design to pass crash tests and air bags. Of course, it will be FAR safer than any motorcycle, and I say this with around 1/2 million miles on 2 wheels.
Thanks for the information! It was unclear to me why they were going above and beyond the motorcycle requirements.
Half million on 2 wheels! Holly crap! I have to do my math! At 62, I’ve had 7 bikes. I’ll get back to you!
@@dougbrittsan-yn9sl My first ride was on a BMW R27, and I was hooked. My first owned bike was an original 1942 Indian Scout war bike I got when I lived in Iran. (not counting the Velosolex I owned in Germany). I later had a Honda 50 (when I lived in Japan), a Suzuki 400 that I did a 40 mile daily commute on, a Suzuki Water Buffalo, a BMW R/80 that I rebuilt 3 times, a BMW R/75 triple, an R1100 4, and a couple of Gold Wings.
Many of the miles were from commuting from Vallejo to Union City when I lived in the SF Bay area. I also had 1000 in one days, and many 2 up motorcycle camping trips with my wife.
It would be cool if it had a solar panel coming up from somewhere of the body that had a solar tracker to charge it whenever it's parked. Because these solar cells are extremely sensitive to light, you can drop the output like 80% just by moving little bit away from the sun. So having solar tracker running when it's parked would offset the losses.
Aptera has developed special controllers that reduce power drop from shadows compared to usual panels.
As the heat pump is key to all EV longevity, will Apteras have Tesla-like battery temperature management, including Octovalve-like manifolding?
They have said they will have a heat pump eventually. The current system has 3 liquid cooling/heating zones and uses a compressor and resistive heating for HVAC. The battery pack has its own end plate liquid cooling zone and can cool or warm the battery as needed.
Whats the status on Cpc partnership, since CPC has been sold?
I noticed Chris
I'm not going to pour (much) cold tea on anyone's bonfire, but (there's always a 'butt', and mine's huge), but I got the impression that the guys were kinda squirming throughout this.
I made a mental note of seven things in the video that caused me to go "Hmmmm?"🤔 (and not in a good way), but I'll not list them here. Nobody wants to hear them because... Aptera.
Oh, all right, then. I'll mention one: I'm surprised that the wheel spats now have shark-fin projections.
Are they street-legal? I'm not sure they'd be allowed here in the UK for their impact (pun intended) on pedestrians. They're at just the right height to give kids a splitting headache.
But maybe US peeps are better protected than the average Brit. Perhaps y'all wear body armour and helmets when you're out walking - after all, you have to dodge everything from bullets and grizzly bears to crowd-crunching Mustangs and monster (cyber) trucks.
All I have to dodge these days is gravity and hard work.
I like to think that their squirming is due to their excitement over their product. It it's from genuine enthusiasm and anticipation for the productive future.
LOL. I definitely wear both when riding a motorcycle. Aptera will have to face homologation for every country where it is offered for sale. The UK is on their radar at some point.
Just hand build the things and get going.
That they haven’t nailed down an EPS column is concerning, especially since Jason Hill said for undecided parts/vendors they were down to nuts and bolts.
A car as light as Aptera shouldn't need power steering. It would be nice for those of us with no desire for driver assistance features to be able to opt for manual steering.
The Aptera has manual steering with a variable assist electric motor. It's electric power steering like a lot of small cars use. It provides nore assistance in a parking lot then on the road at faster speeds. That same motor is used by the OpenPilot driver assist. The steering itself is manual with a ~2.25 turn lock to lock. OpenPilot is optional and you can turn it of if you have it. It's more like an advanced cruise control. But you must keep your eyes on the road ( it watches your eye movement) and hands on the wheel. On a long trip it will keep you in a lane on the highway and maintain a safe speed. You can override it st any time by turning the wheel. It can also brake to keep you from colliding with someone stopping suddenly in front of you. I am tempted to add the option. After watching videos of it I think it might make driving safer if used right. @robertkirchner7981
Will parking next to a wall possibly reflect additional light 💡 onto the Aptera to generate more electricity? Also do you know if we will be able to light up our solar panels like seen in the videos? This would look really cool and aid finding in the Aptera in the dark.
I doubt the solar panels will 'light up". Regarding parking near a wall. If the wall doesn't block the light from striking the solar panels (that seems like it would be luck if it did not) and it was a reflective color, it might help increase the the amount if light strking the solar panels.
To start trying to visualize what the sun's postion is during the day in places where I typically park I downloaded an app called Sun Setter on my android (Samsung) smartphone. It determines your location and the sun's postion at the current time of day and it track throughoutthe day at that location. It does the same for moon postion. There is a free version but I opted for the $8.99 version 6 all the options enabled.
It helped me confirm that my parking location at "home" is pretty good for for picking up solar charge throughout the day.
A mirror wall would do it.
There are sooo many bugs hit my Model Y front duck nose, I stop clean it weekly....
Why do the wheel covers look so square and not at all as aerodynamic as the body?
I have question that can easily be answered by someone who has been in an aptera. Is the seat angle (like my knees) like a truck (80 degree angle) or a car (closer to 150 degrees)?
Much more car like in this regard.
more like a car
This writer DID sit in Gamma in San Diego. I have a near useless right knee replacement, so bending it is a task/impossible. The Gamma seat is much more like an MG Midget, a Triumph sports car, the old Datsun Z cars or the Saab Sonnet. amoung other such low sports cars. It is NOT a truck by any measure
I like open management.
So I wonder, ~13:00, How many watts; Best & Average? Picture?
Some of this will have to wait for the PI build validation testing to finally determine. Testing results could still change the choice of components such as inverters when there is a sharp performance/cost difference.
Thanks Bruce, I feel it's "Nice to know information". @@n.brucenelson5920
Anybody looked into a micro fresnel lens layer above the solar panels to increase efficiency?
Have you invested efforts into beginning your Life Cycle Assessment by a 3rd party? This could well be Aptera's ace in the hole, well beyond the obvious benefits of efficiency. Zero carbon policy won't allow most cars to be built by mid century, but most car manufacturers are either oblivious to that, or have an unrealistic understanding of how little production emissions will be permissible for a personal vehicle. If you can show how much lower your production emission are, and also get a stronger focus on where you're not doing well, you will be future proofing your design. I know mid century seems a long way off, but we won't wait until 2050 to finally recognize that you can't afford 17-25 tons CO2e production emissions.
It's worth noting that the best selling vehicle of 2023 is the Toyota RAV 4, with over a third more sales than the Telsa Model Y.
Ask first generation nissan leaf owners feel about their batterys that don't have dedicated battery management systems (heat and cool pack as needed to keep in more ideal range for most of the time) if aptera skimps on this the batteries will not last and range will drop rapidly after delivery if they ever get there
Aptera has an innovative heat management system with three separate cooling (or warming loops to manage temperature, and they don't stress the packs even as much as Tesla does, while using similar 2170 NMC cells.
Hey... any idea what's up with Aptera Motors website? My dashboard disappeared New Years and is still AWOL. I'm an Accelerator...is it just me?
There is a bug. Aptera is aware of it and working to get it fixed.
@@n.brucenelson5920 Thanks! I have the same problem but there wasn't a way to ask Aptera because of the problem!
Thanks, Bruce! Happy Aptera Year!

@@TheDapperham Happy New Year to all!
Tesla fast charging is all cool and fun americans where government slept and let one company in the "market decide" what kind of charging plug should your electric car.
Here in EU we made the legal decision in 2014
What are the plans for the EU market?
When he said next year is that 2024 or 2025 ?
That was recorded in 2023 so when he says next year he means 2024
what is stopping Aptera from converting it to 48volt from 12v architecture? I was just tying to compare with Tesla's new CyberTruck that runs on 48v architecture. From Sandy Munro's interview with Elon, i thought it was a great upgrade to reduce the weight, cost in copper etc ....
Above all if it can bring V2G/ V2H/ V2L capabilities, that would be fantastic.
They need to get the vehicle launched first so they are going with off-the-shelf systems first. Down the line they plan on going to a higher voltage.
Because Aptera can't get the cutting edge tech that was specifically made for Tesla. it will come to every EV eventually, but this is still too new of tech for Aptera o (or any other company) to have access to.
You're definitely going to save weight with a 48v system, but considering how low power leds are, the wire is already gone to be pretty small, and the more power heavy components will be very close together in the cabin.
Basically I think you would save weight, but I don't think it would be noticeable at all, especially if 48v systems are much more expensive
A higher priority is a heat pump
@@ShihanQu being a Canadian and both a reservation holder and and and investor, I also hope for heated Yoke and Seats. Yes, I do agree with the heat pump.

Aptera is getting FAR more for their money than Tesla did during their startup phase.
Fabio sounds like if a car could talk
I have to object to the whole idea of 'game-ifying' the power-production *while driving*! I can just see the headlines now: "Aptera driver crushed by train, while 'dodging' shadow of other cars"...
I don't know if Aptera has considered putting all their Supply Chain/ Inventory tracking on Carbon Neutral Block Chains like XRPL, HBAR ... That will prove the authenticity of the product too because block chains are immutable and can be verified by anyone. Furthermore you can also attach NFT's of the ownerships and other records ....
Yeah, like anyone wants NFTs for anything...
🤣
@@Skylancer727 Well, I believe italy is using the NFT technology to document copywrites, so if we stop thinking of NFTs as simply an overpriced png, and actually see it for what it is, a unique piece of data that can be assigned to an individual's account, it has some legitimate uses. I do think the NFT image market is a bit silly, and I don't buy into that kind of NFT hype, but I also try to make sure I recognize the big picture of what is hype vs what is actually a practical application.

Steve, where was the Aptera summary released?
I think they planned on it but got too busy and decided not to do it
Still probably should have had a lead in describing the webinar and providing an explanation of any permissions given by Aptera.
Could Aptera send over 3 or 4 battery packs to rotate loading the vehicles then taking the battery pack out and loading into the next one to load? Would that be possible to solve the battery issue...
What battery issue ?
@@garywozniak7742 One of them said that shipping the incomplete vehicles from Italy to California without batteries created a difficulty in loading the vehicles because they couldn't power themselves up the ramp or whatever.
@robertkirchner7981 thank you Robert. I missed that.
Did I hear right they are going to P1 through P16 prior to production? Are they ever going to make something for sale?
Unlike Tesla, which shipped vehicles for a year with breaking transmissions when they started, Aptera will be delivering vehicles that have been validated and work.
one thing I'm just now thinking about. I am an investor and accelerator member. If they go IPO I purchase my Aptera, and I sell my shares before I buy it, will I lose my Accelerator status/spot? I had planned on using that investment as part of my payment to the Aptera.
You’ll still be an Accelerator because you sent them $$$. Selling the shares in the market won’t matter. But you won’t be able to sell the shares if your car is ready pre-IPO.
@@richevanscpathey did mention that they are trying to tie in the IPO with the launch of production. But thnx. Really looking forward to the 5% + $1k discounts
@@sxsignal I agree with what Rich said, that after the IPO buying or selling stock in the market won’t directly affect Aptera’s finances, so I’m sure you’d still be considered an Accelerator. Just want to point out that Chris Anthony has specifically said they’re willing to hold your spot, for Accelerators who aren’t ready to take delivery as soon as their car is ready. So that implies you could wait till after the IPO to make the purchase if you wanted to, and you’d still get your accelerator vehicle.
Personally, I want to hold on to my shares, as I’m expecting the investment to perform very well as the company grows. 👍
@@sxsignalyou could always take a short loan to take delivery and then sell your shares and pay the loan
I suspect they will wait for the IPO to sell out before they convert our shares to the type eligible for open market trading.
No one knows better than the engineers who spent a lifetime learning, designing and redesigning to bring the needed vision into reality. The possibility of one driving a solar charging vehicle that 'takes' and gives more time and resources to everyone is very exciting. And why don't more people know about it? It's very light and has a low center of gravity. The wide front wheel base may be an issue for some. It's not going to fit in the door of an average box truck. Can you imagine a 'car carrier' with Aptera vehicles already assembled? It's going to be a wide load.
A solar power carrier traveling over the paved soil and charging under blue skies many miles a day will likely happen in our lifetime.
Good work abounds. . .
I looked up U Haul rental box trucks just to see if Aptera will fit. It won't fit in the smaller ones. It will fit in the bigger ones. The bigger ones are expensive almost 2 grand plus fuel from there to a town near to me. I'm over 2,000 mi from Carlsbad. I think the only way to use a smaller truck is if it's a flat bed. I'm hoping they will ship cross country by rail or semi in the future. t should fit on a car carrier trailer. Those are over 8' wide.

,,,please,,, must likely done software tells Tesla chargers or any charger the best charging temperature or spec with weather or just just best spec to charge in case the charger is not configured we can still charge anywhere.
I am not sure exactly what you are saying, but Aptera has developed their own advanced charging system that uses the 2170 NMC batteries that the Tesla Model 3 uses, but stresses them considerably less.
@n.brucenelson5920 I do that , I meant when you plug in any charger will automatically detect what the best high voltage to charge, because you can easily find a fast charger Tesla charges everywhere, I don't know are they labeled do they give you choices on the screen do they automatically detect your vehicle's capabilities some kind of software or power supply. When I see the Chargers they all charge a different rates slow fast and so on and they're not labeled as far as I can tell but I've never really checked their screens I don't know how they work.
@@1978rayking The Tesla chargers have different maximums, but the vehicles determine how fast they take the charge, and the charger won't supply more than that.
@n.brucenelson5920 thats good, tnx
40 miles per day, dont have to charge it.........well if only that was true, lets see some real world data on that, not theoretical, looking more like under 10 miles per day on a good day.
Where is the display data showing watts for the solar panels when car is in sun?
With EV's it's pretty obvious that batteries WILL eventually go into thermal runaway in some cars. For a myriad of reasons. I think standardized safety tests need to be established for toxicity and whatever else. First responders are getting permanently disabled because they don't realize the cobalt, and other lovely elements will try and kill them. And the public needs to be made aware that they need to get away from the smoke plume as if their life depends on it. Not to mention EV's parked inside enclosed spaces can build up explosive gases in some cases.
The battery cells are sealed canisters How are they emitting toxic funes in an enclosed space?
@@garywozniak7742 The toxic fumes occur if the battery goes into thermal runaway. This is very bad in a parking garage, or container ship for example. The explosive gases can happen without thermal runaway during charging. Look for garage doors being blown off of homes because an EV was charging and the gas hit the pilot on a water heater (for example). There have been several well publicised police reports.
"They're burning at 700 wh/mi " if he wants to compare to the worsr and largest evs maybe? Model 3 tesla average is 181 wh/mi.. and its a 4 door car not an autocycle. What are people at aptera going to say when tesla drops a 2 door vehicle that hits 100 wh/mi ...
You are off quite a bit on Tesla's power usage. The Tesla Model 3's range fron an EPA rated 113 mpg-e t0 138 mpg-e. That would be 298 wH/mile to 244 wH/mile.
Are you going to license Aptera's design to Tesla for their RoboTaxi?
unlikely we would hear anything ahead of a joint announcement - even if it were under discussion.
@@n.brucenelson5920 Well, it's a brilliant design. Tesla seems inclined to copy it, but that company should make an honest offer instead or license the design.
forget aptera, how can i invest into pizza bros?
Apparently the "communication team" only passes on good notes to these guys. Never addressing the skeptics and concerned investor just trying to rope more people in
I couldn't watch the whole thing because these guys are talking about "refining" stuff that is kindergarten level stuff - the license plate light?. At this point they should be talking about PRODUCTION dates and volumes. These are a bunch of dreamers selling stock. Until they produce 1000 vehicles, I will not take them seriously,
Because people were b.tching about stupid stuff like the license plate light. It was the cup holders before that, etc.
So many sheeple with sheeple opinions. Like anyone can be an innovative EV maker.
The investors are not engineers. Engineering along with R&D is boring. So you just discuss the shiny objects in the room. That brings in the big bucks.
I still would not invest in this product - or the company. Be great if they make a success of it but I doubt it. Aptera - prove me wrong!
@@farmerpete6274 - Production starts Sept 22, so we will see how it turns out.
How can there be an "Aptera Owners' Club" when literally no one owns one because they're still not ready to ship? In fact it doesn't even look like they even have any working prototypes yet. Well for those who "own" one, how is your CGI car working out for you?
There are many of us who have invested in the company, and so are part owners. And they certainly have had working prototypes for years. In fact, both my wife and I have ridden in one and seen several others. The performance is mindblowing.
The Production Intent vehicles are being assembled now - hardly only "CGI" Do your due diligence instead of posting nonsense.
?
Honestly so little was said. This and the Reservation Q&A that was not much earlier really haven't given me high hopes. We have been going on over two years of claims with regards to money and we know based on SEC filing that a twenty one million dollar term sheet did not convert in Q2 of 2023 and even that would not have gotten them to production.
What they need to do is give weekly picture and or video updates of progress in Italy. Earlier this fall they hinted that the first PI builds might have arrived before end of year but of course we knew the truth. They still shy away from price updates and this $1100 discount for investing $2000 is not a discount, you cannot discount a price that is not set. Sorry, that is just the hard truth.
So Aptera, are you going to wait till the last few legal days before you file your Form 1-K detailing the financial health of the company? Last year you came within a few days of the 120 day deadline. If you were up front you would file in a timely manner. Most companies seek to have it done in 45 days or less.
@andromedach writes: "... this $1100 discount for investing $2000 is not a discount, you cannot discount a price that is not set."
Of course you can knock $1100 off ANY price, even if not currently set, as long as said price is greater than $1100. Sorry, that is just the mathematical truth.
Auto startups are notoriously slow and weekly updates would waste everyone's time, since there isn't that much new to announce from week to week. We can see the pictures of the body parts from C.P.C. Aptera is moving faster than other American auto startups. It took Tesla 6 years (2002-08), Arcimoto 10 years (2007-17), Rivian 12 years (2009-21) and Lucid 14 years (2007-21) to get to production, so Aptera starts production this year or next, it will only be 5 or 6 years (since 2019) to get to production. Remember that this is high-volume production, not the low volume production that Tesla started with.
You are correct Andromedach. It's all about the money. Aptera doesn't have it. Chris says without a large infusion of cash it will take longer to reach production. In 116 days Aptera's SEC filing for 2023 is due. It won't look good.
Elio Motors did the same thing. Wait until the last minute as they knew it was bad news. If it was good news, then it gets filed right away.
The downfall is this. They need to do an IPO. They need it to shoot up the PPS. At one time Elio had a $1Bn USD market cap. That kept them going for a while. Now the piggy bank ran out.
You see this with Arcimoto. IPO was great, later SEC filings showed it cost them $60k to make a $20k unit. Thus they cut everything to the bone and might go bankrupt soon. Thus, no SEC filings.
@@montanaerdoc- It is about the money. Suppliers don’t send you product unless you pay the bills. As a startup that has the best idea ever will not work for the guy making the product if they don’t get paid. Same for utilities. Power, gas, sewer and data will shut you down unless you pay. Go try that yourself and take all of your life savings and put it into Aptera. I bet the grocery store will give you aptera credits.
I don't get it. This is a glorified electric motorcycle. Something like a eUP is a lot cheaper and more practical...
Does an eUp! go 16 km on one kWh of power? The whole point of Aptera is ground-breaking efficiency, which then make solar power practical.
Yes, and? It's an actual car, though. This is not a practical vehicle in any way, though. A e-bike with a solar charger would be as good, and far, far cheaper. This seems like either a joke or simply money grab scam...@@robertkirchner7981
I totally agree.....you don't get it.
@stevemcgowen the vehicle has side by side seating, a strong passenger cell protecting the passengers, air bags, crumple zones, heating and air conditioning, 7 feet of room behind the seats and 32.5 cubic feet of storage. With full solar it can get up to 40 miles of charge per day from the sun. The Launch Edition only uses 100wH per mile and has a 400 mile battery. Using the EPA method it will get 337mpg-e
I've owned a motorcycle and rode it year round for few years in New England. I even rode home in a snow storm or two when the meteorologists blew the forecast . I've dumped the bike a couple of times. It was a blast but I was lucky to get 30mpg on it and it was dangerous as all hell. There is no comparison between the Aptera and a motorcycle.
It says it can go 40 miles on a charge on their web page. That's what a e-bike can do. This is a 3 wheeled electric motorcycle with a body. Sorry if you got scammed...@@garywozniak7742
Can the driver see where the driver's side front wheel is on the ground? For instance, how far from the roads centerline. Normal vehicles don't have outrigger wheels and you sit pretty much in line with the wheel so no problem. It would be a hell of a things to have a front wheel ripped off by another vehicle.
That is what I worry about if parked in the city street and driver side wheel gets rip off by passing cars since it is sticking out.
Driver side yes passenger side no
@@jameshwang4750Yes, the front wheels are wider than the body of the Aptera, however, the wheels are not sticking out in the middle of the road, they're going to be in line with other parked vehicles. Unless nobody is parked behind you, hence the need of reflectors for night time parking. During the day time, the unique shape of the vehicle is what will protect you... Trust me EVERYBODY is going to see this vehicle, no one is going to hit it.
@@p0kerp1ayaa BMW already hit a parked prototype last year
@@TheScottShepard Okay, you got me on that one. 😂😂😂. I'll revise my statement that "nearly everyone" will see this vehicle. 😂😂😂😂
What about combining a QR code into the Aptera graphics on the side of the vehicle so all the inquisitive people who poses a smart phone can get at the information.
