Wow, this tutorial was so easy to follow. Your instructions are so clear. I have been watching other power query and power pivot tutorials and I would get lost because they wouldn't explain certain things or would go too fast. Thank you!!
hey... I'm sure you are a Nigerian, I guess you are a data analyst or hoping to go into data analysis. I just graduated from unilag and trying to go in data analysis. I just started my journey on the data analysis. what opportunity do I have as data analyst in Nigeria?

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Though I'm an Excel expert at my workplace, and most of the topics you have presented I'm familiar with, you showed then in an organized and simple way so I could refresh my knowledge and learn few things how to pass this to my colleagues in my Excel class. Good work :)

Great video. Can you provide any comments and/or resources on how to update queries or the source data with updated data and still be able to use the same measures that were initially created.
29:00 I don't think you needed Power Query for the tables already in Excel. You can just import them to Power Pivot by pressing "Add to Data Model" in the Power Pivot contextual menu. Great tutorial 👍
Very nice explanation of Power Pivot and its features. I would like to get other files by years which you used for practice. Please share those files which was used in the video for connection purpose in power pivot.
Thanks for the super useful tutorial. I tried to follow up the steps, but I noticed that my source data file is not a csv file and after I import and make the connection to the data file and select add this data to the Data Model, no Data model can be found when I start creating the pivot table. How can I solve this please?
Great training, thank you! If you want to show/compare data from your 2017 Sales Table and data from your 2018 Sales Table in your Power Pivot Table, how are you able to decipher between each year after the files have been ‘combined’ together?
Is there a way to get the same result as a Vlookup function? So combine fields from different tables, e.g see what type of article each customer had ordered or these kind of info? Or is only possible to have aggregate measures like Total Sales per customers so measures like Sum, Count etc?
The easiest way to create a table is to click into any cell except the header and just press ctrl +t and your data will be changed to a table. Shortcut to name a table is Alt, J,T,A. Shortcut to create a pivot table is Alt, N, V, T
If you add a 'Sales 2021.xlsx' file to the Sales folder, would the power pivot table and chart update automatically, you you need to add it from the beginning?
Thank you for this tutorial. The sales data for the power part of the course is not available for download. So I can't really follow along. But you have made power pivot look a lot less daunting!
To download the data files used in this video and follow along, go here: www.simonsezit.com/article/introduction-to-power-pivot-power-query-in-excel/
Any chance to get the two additional sales data files which you use on the webiner?
Where are the two sales_2017.csv & sales_2018.csv? Kindly share them as well.
@@oldschool4714 did you get them?
Great video. Can I download the 2 sales data files "sales_2017.csv" & "sales_2018.csv" as well? Thanks.
