yep i remember when it aired on comedy central. the contest was for a charity drive thing and the winner got to have a feature in the south park episode. they never gave any details what the role was gonna be or anything , and this was when they were making 1 episode per week so matt and trey probably didn't even have an idea for an episode yet lol.
the Native Americans giving the people blankets infected with SARS was a joke about how US settlers gave Native Americans blankets infected with smallpox
@@AiLoveHueThere is one journal entry about some Indians coming to a fort or someplace to trade and being given some blankets from the smallpox ward "to show our respects" or something like that. The thing is, all this happened before the Germ Theory of Disease was known. People had no idea that viruses even existed and I don't know if they had any idea how smallpox was spread. The guy who made that journal entry probably wasn't being ironic, but no one considers that these days.
Alex Explanation: The makers of South Park held a contest for the fans. The winner would get a character of themselves drawn and given a part in an episode. Alex was the winner, so they made South Park's version of Alex and added him to the show. He was allowed to give a quick shout out at his exit. You just watched South Park's award winner show.
This episode is hilarious, I should mention this I'm part American Indian, oh sorry "Native American," so I find this hilarious, the sars part on how it starts made me laugh 😅😂, but I don't get why Alex in this episode.
Season 12 episode 4 “Canada on Strike” when Canada feels offended that the rest of the world doesn’t take them seriously they go on strike which leads to Butters becoming a RUclips sensation to raise money to give to Canada
@@watchitwithbae5709 I'd love it if you reacted to the South Park episode where Kim Kardashian is a hobbit and Kanye West makes a song about it. That is one of my favorite episodes!!! Thanks.
Premise Running Thin Lmao! Its definitetly pretty funny how the Indian casino CEOs have that evil laugh! I don`t see it as being racist though. --- Its` just part of the nihilistic humor that SP puts out where no-one and no race is spared from ridicule.
The SARS epidemic occurred in the early 2000's but the virus wasn't as contagious as the virus that causes COVID-19. They are closely related coronaviruses, and ever since then scientists all over the world worked on coronavirus vaccines. Almost 20 years of research, which was also built on decades of science from before that! The COVID vaccines are some of the most studied and scrutinized in medicine! I'm not a doctor, but I'm a working scientist with a degree in genetics.
It was 100% a big part of how we got a vaccine so quickly. People who want to make co spiracy theories say "no, it's not possible in just a year" ignoring that we had literal decades of looking at nearly identical stuff
I recommend The Big Fix, season 25, episode 2. It's a recent episode where they more or less acknowledge how racist early South Park could be, in their own funny irreverent way.
I'd like to see you react to "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" Season 8, Episode 12, but to understand the final joke in the episode, you would have to watch "The Death Camp of Tolerance" Season 6, Episode 14.
5:01 _"you're like, this is Revenge for what y' did to my people okay [ ...] y'all"_ Are you talking about the native indians or about the black americans?
I'm gonna feel bad for Bae if she lands on Seasons 1-3 lol. The creators don't even stand by the first three seasons anymore, they're kinda crap. Some funny moments, though.
Kinda fitting that you spun lucky number 7 twice and then watched an episode about gambling
was gonna comment the same thing lol
Let it ride!
15:05 that was a guy winning a South Park contest I think. But he’s banished from South Park by Kyle 😂
I actually love the idea of spinning the wheel to pick episodes it’s perfect
the Alex kid in this episode is some kid that won a contest to be featured on the show as a South Park character

the Native Americans giving the people blankets infected with SARS was a joke about how US settlers gave Native Americans blankets infected with smallpox
Did that really happened?

@@barreloffun10 so it was not intentional after all

11:25 Garrison right there is me on an international flight. lmao. I got a whole collection. RT gets you 2! lol
Stan had to take an inward journey. when I first saw his episode, I thought he had to take an N-Word journey.
"A WINNING STREAK? YOU PLAYED ONE GAME!"
"Okay, Stan."
Still one of my favourite underrated Randy moments.

It's predictable that South Park will invert stereotypes, but it still tickles my mind when those roles are reversed.

It’s the background music in “flavor of love”.
Your hoodie looks comfy.

It is! Literally my favorite hoodie
Celebrities general have a good sense of humour when it comes to South Park ripping on them…well except kanye west lol
Season 7 has always been my favorite out of the others. I recommend the episodes south park is gay and little crime stoppers!

COVID was a more infectious version of SARS, which itself caused a brief news scare in the early aughts.
