Honestly, I had heard of Sri Lanka before, but didn't know anything about it. After watching Harald's video's it's such a beautiful place and the people are wonderful!!!
Freeman reminds me of my grampa in Trinidad and Tobago. He always would show me nature, food that grows in the trees, he would make me try all the fruits and vegetables in his backyard, he showed me how to get coconuts out of the trees and use the machete to hack them open... things i never learned here in Canada. They have such a zen way of life.

I really love Sri Lanka, I've been there many years ago and would love to come back. Hikkaduwa is a nice place, we stayed there for a couple of days. I hope until January travelling will be possible again as usual. How far is Freeman's place from the beach?

What an utterly wonderful place to stay. Fantastic location, and lovely rooms to use. All that for £30 dollars a night. Thats incredible, its so much more than just a simple room. You have become a big part of their family, the way his wife came with that lunch and fruit and water. Wonderful people. You have stayed in some incredible places....... that lovely place with the cat was on of the best I have seen. However it came at a big price. Here you have a great location and wonderful people for such a smaller price. Sometimes big money isn't always the answer to finding a happy place. This place proves it.

I really love Sri Lanka, I've been there many years ago and would love to come back. Hikkaduwa is a nice place, we stayed there for a couple of days. I hope until January travelling will be possible again as usual. How far is Freeman's place from the beach?

What an utterly wonderful place to stay. Fantastic location, and lovely rooms to use. All that for £30 dollars a night. Thats incredible, its so much more than just a simple room. You have become a big part of their family, the way his wife came with that lunch and fruit and water. Wonderful people. You have stayed in some incredible places....... that lovely place with the cat was on of the best I have seen. However it came at a big price. Here you have a great location and wonderful people for such a smaller price. Sometimes big money isn't always the answer to finding a happy place. This place proves it.
