Sara Parker is my vote! My favorite old movie is Moonstruck. It's not from the classic "old movie" era, but it was made in the late 80's so it's like 40 years old. I love it!
A great vlog. You are such a kind mum frogging a sock to make one for your daughter and sharing the lovely skein. Crumpet the hamster is cute. Shame I'm allergic to rodents. You are very busy with all your WIPs and the allotment. The dahlias reminded me of my grandad's veg patch he always grew them.
What a lovely memory to have of your Grandad. I hope one year I can grow Dahlias, I did try this year but was unsuccessful sadly 😏 Thank you for your lovely comment 💕
I always say, a person can smell it's winter and my husband's face in the beginning lol! But NOW he gets it. You can smell winter in the air.. Just like Spring, all the blossoms, fresh air, still cool-ish in the mornings and then.. The South African summer hits us, good Lord have mercy.. Can't even breathe. Funny enough, my mom is a 1600km away in the Western Cape and they have the worst cold fronts and winds strong enough to blow a tupé to the other side of the world lol I'm a spring and autumn person. I like those 2 seasons.
Yes glad I’m not the only person! I’m still waiting for that cool nip in the air and the smell of Autumn. I am happy the weather is cooler now though 😂 yes Spring is wonderful isn’t it? 💖
I love the smell of autumn, too. You absolutely can "smell" it! I am so glad the heatwave is over now, I hate being "too hot." 😂 I have started a sweet shop blanket too. The pattern is so lovely, isn't it? Mine is all pastel colours with pale yellow as my main colour, and I'm using yarn from my stash, aka wool mountain 😂 it's all acrylic yarn that I've had for years. See you next time ❤
Amazing - it must be lovely to use yarn from stash! Pastels also sound lovely - I bet it will look great when you’ve finished it. Yes me too, so glad the weather has finally cooled off. I was not happy about that 😂 Thanks for watching 💖
Sherrie always a pleasure to catch up you have kept me company this afternoon Saturday 9/9/23 30deg in Norfolk Uk in my shaded craft room ( blinds closed small fan wiring ) & listening to you about your crafts all looking good I love that Tee agree a smidge longer Perfecto 👍 Oh my Jesse is growing up little treasure 💕
Thank you Sue 🧶✨ we kept our blinds closed as well, just help with the heat. I would like it to be a bit more cooler again though 😆 i'm not fussy honest 🤭 I love it where it's just cold enough that you need a sweat top on or maybe a shawl to keep you cosy! 💕
I love it when you wake up in the mornings to that slight 'nip' in the air. You instantly know the season has shifted, and I get really excited at the thought of being able to layer clothes! As much as I adore the longer daylight hours, I really do love that shift and the smell of leaf decay is one of my favourite smells! ha ha! I was getting out all my wraps, scarves, hats and wrist warmers the other day in anticipation of Autumn, and realised it's probably my favourite time of year for making and wearing accessories. I have so many I've made over the years that I still love to wear. I've also just finished my second pair of socks. Get me! After 10 years of wanting to do it, I just did it one day thinking, 'What's the worst thing that could happen?'. The air was a little blue at first I'm not going to lie, but after my 4th sock, I felt I was turning a knitting corner! I was determined to complete a pair of socks before I turned 50! My ultimate goal is to knit sweaters that actually fit me. I'm a shortie and short in the body, so sweaters are usually too long for me. I just want to make my own to my own length. That's my next goal. I love how you talk about your knitting, as it gives me confidence to have a go....so thank you for that! I love love love it when I see a new post from you. You are such a gorgeous vlog watch Sherrie. xxxxx
Firstly - YAY go you for knitting socks, see I knew you could do it!!! Yes, I remember when I was first learning to knit socks and knit in general and I would get myself so worked about it, I'd tense up and even give myself a headache! BUT - like you I was determined to accomplish it and so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. That's great you want to sweaters and I'm sure you'll accomplish that as well, maybe start off with something basic. I loved knitting the Felix as it's a beautiful simple pattern which has a little bit of detail. Aww thank you for your lovely kind comments 🥰💕✨

Oh how exciting!!!! I'd love to know how you're getting on? I am now on my 5th square and I'm enjoying it so much, especially holding the yarn double. Also, isn't great to use from stash?? 💕
Thank you for your time. Love the knitted tee and the yarn choice fin terms of the colour is lovely. Knitting socks at the moment due to the heat the UK is currently experiencing as they are light in weight! I have just read The It Girl by Ruth Ware and One Step Too Far by Lisa Gardner which I would recommend as 2 good reads. Two thirds of the way through The Second Sleep by Robert Harris which is also very good. I have not read one of his before. The concept of this book is really interesting.
Thank you for the book recommendations! I forgot that I also read a book by Ruth Ware but forgot to mention it on this episode, thank you for reminding me! It was called the The Death Of Mrs Westaway 💕
Belgian weather seems to mirror the UK. I think we'll get the fresh crisp air smell towards end September. Looking forward to your vlogmas in Dec ❤. Your blanket looks beautiful, my 5 year old would would love the colours. I'm sure your 6 year old will love it.
Yeah I think you’re right probably end of the month before we can feel that nip in the air. We had a lovely thunderstorm this morning - I love it ⛈️😆 Thank you 💖

Although I’m really here to see all your lovely knitting and crochet, it was lovely seeing you all at the allotment as well! It’s looking really good. Loved your new cropped top with the lace, it’s really pretty on you. Glad the family are all OK. I’m like you with the weather and can’t wait for the smell of Autumn in the mornings. Thank you for a lovely video x

Thank you Sherrie, what a lovely episode 😊 Your new tee is beautiful and I love seeing all your socks! ❤ I'm planning on knitting some shorties too ~ I've got a couple of sets of 3x20g minis and I'm curious to see if it's enough for socks. Must admit I'm enjoying the hot sunny weather, though I think it helps I'm right by the sea, but I love that crisp autumn smell too. Look forward to seeing your allotment journey 🌱
