Thanks again for the comment. Stuff got hectic and I just wanted a pic. I panicked 😂. Apologized to Bobby for being a nuisance shortly after. Thanks for watching!
COME ON BOBBY B GET THE DAMN PLIERS, dude gonna have a heart attack over pliers. Nice I'm in Jersey to, Monmouth county I know this feeling getting these beautiful fish on line.
Very nice...looks like we'll have to wait till fall here in the CA delta for the water to stabilize from the crazy storms and run off that's coming soon.
Awesome video! I’ll be out there soon with my fly rod. Been catching small schoolies on some Monmouth county beaches around jetties but haven’t gotten up there yet. Tight lines maybe I’ll see you around!
9 foot ODM genesis. In love with it. Can’t beat it at 300$ handles fish in the 40 pound range fine, and small fish in the 5 pound range are still fun on it. Super lightweight, I’m comfy all day fishing with it in my hands. 10/10. Casting 1-2 ounces is the sweet spot. I wouldn’t go over 3 but I have before and it handles fine.
How are the stripers so big there? Over here in Cali most are shakers and 18-22. Even delta stripers aren’t the big and active. So difficult to catch too I wish it was this easy.
Thanks for watching. And these are east coast migratory fish. Cold water species. They mostly live in the ocean, and move into our bays and rivers to spawn in spring. Living in the ocean they have so much forage and food to eat in the Atlantic Ocean. Funny you say that. Your fish in Cali originally started out as a small amount out of the navesink river in NJ brought over to be stocked in CA!
@@michaelc2825 ouch . truth! A good majority of folks here are brought up with the thought that any fish caught-no matter how young /small-or mutant the fish may be, its worth keeping. The mutant, the better!
Don't you love it because guys have waders on they walk right out into the hole where you're catching fish! Same thing happens in streams you can reach your rod across...they think they have to stand right in the middle to fish!!
Ehhhhh, streams are different! Out here plenty of fish to go around. Can’t get mad at these guys, I’ve done it before to other people. Is what it is. When they’re biting like this all I can do is smile! Thanks for the comment Andrew!
I'm watching the migration here from Florida. Normally wait to go to Cape Cod Canal in June, but jonesin for some striper action. From Newark airport where would you suggest the best action in the next two weeks? Any tackle stores rent rods/reals? Thx
I don’t think any tackle shops around here rent rods at all. If you’re looking to rent gear and get put on fish, my best recommendation would be any charter boat around here. Not too expensive and they have all the gear on the boat for you. Any charter boat in the Raritan bay is a good idea for the next two weeks.
@@antoniosantiago4069 me as well, located in Monmouth county. I would recommend bouncing around the Raritan bay. Plenty of public spots. Do you lure fish or use bait?
Love seeing a fellow Monmouth county surfcaster. The raritan has been on fire
Tight lines my guy. Thanks for viewing master baiter!
Bobby,..Bobby..Bobby!! ..lol. Luv it- Thanks for sharing, great content

Beach of bay fellas
very very nice!!!!
Thank you! And thanks for viewing
Do you perrferr back bays in the spring or the surf what are some good tactics early April
Back bay and rivers April, maybe some surf come late April/may
Moon tides in the back bays with deep waters usually produce
Hopefully will get on them I'll prob hold off till mid April if we don't get warmer weather sooner
Nice fish just starting here on cape cod
Awesome! We still have some fish around here. Just know it was a kick@$$ spring for us, hope it is the same for you. Thanks for watching!
what was the temperature??? They're starting hitting on topwater already???!!! Good video!👍
Was just about 50 degrees. Big presence of bait, think that had to do with how aggressive they were.
That savage gear 5.75 or the 6.50?
🐟
Where in NJ ? Great video
Thanks for watching. And this was raritan bay in April

Stripers are big on the east coast because they have slot limits. People release big fish over there unlike CA where everyone is a bucket fisherman.
In California you can keep a striper from 18" up .... And people don't care about the fisheries everyone is catch and eat garbage culture.

Damn.. I'm jealous we don't get action like that here in CA... We get striper but not like you guys in NJ
East coast is awesome! NJ gets way too much hate

Thanks for watching joe! More content on the way!
may I ask how
about far down the Jersey shore
from nyc is this beach?
Is this in the bay or off the surf in ocean? I’m from Nc and can’t ever tell lol
This is where the bay meets the ocean, hahaha, looks so calm when you get the right wind. Hard to tell
