Reviving beauty community alone
Wow 🥹 I wish everyone would come
@@erinparsonsmakeup unfortunately currently there's NONE in the field who does it like you. I was really waiting for you to drop a new vid😭
Sounds like an anime name
Literally ❤
Fr I’ve been back on RUclips cuz of her
also would be obsessed if you ever came out with your own makeup brand and incorporated these cool packaging and vintage touches with modern formulas!
This was really fun! Thanks for sharing. Such beautiful, well-made products.
I’m actually talking to some jewelry makers. I want a compact on a necklace so bad 😅
@@erinparsonsmakeup I would buy them!
Actually came here to say just that! An Erin Parsons makeup/jewelry line would rock the makeup world!!! 😃
@Erin Prasons- I would buy them too!! ❤
I really wish these beautifully crafted jewlery makeup would make a comeback.
Yeah! Lancôme, Channel, Yves St Laurent - what’s stopping you? Make some cool make up jewellery! (But DON’T make it tacky and cheap looking, that’s what your advent calendars are for)
I have a feeling it will.
Oh yes I would love that !
sounds like a business idea you could try
@@ladytino5715idk maybe for some buut theyre nolt wildly bought, like fast fashion
If you ever create a make up line PLEASE make the packaging like this!! ❤
Also, PLEASE create a makeup jewelry line
I wish a current makeup company would do a contemporary version of these! How clever!
Anyone else watch Erin's videos over and over? Quality content - such a rarity.
She has a nice calm voice and way of speaking. 💋
❤absolutely 🎉🎉🎉My 2nd time so far!! Such treasures! In safe hands! Muah- kisses 💋🦇❣️
Her eye makeup is stunning!
I think we’ve set a really unfair standard as consumers for video release scheduling. I think a lot of this channel’s viewers are so in love with the content we’re perfectly fine being patient in-between videos!
It would be wild if you were to design your own concealed cosmetic jewelry!! I would be first in line to purchase one! 😍
Me too!
My thoughts exactly too
Yes, make that happen!
Me too!
With the “clean girl” makeup aesthetic that was really popular this past year, I would say that now is the PERFECT time for hidden makeup compartments and jewelry! (And I’m not saying this just because I totally want a company to start doing this so I can get my hands on the action 😂)
😂 I’m right there with you!
I want an actual jewellery, not plastic if they do make it tbh, nothing really glamorous about plastic 😂
I am literally drawing sketches as I watch this....probably will come to nothing but I watched her original video a few months ago and have been obsessed ever since! I can not find anything online within my price range but honestly...I got fed up and started to research and design. To bad I'm poor, I would love to start a company of silver hidden makeup jewelry! I did a design of a necklace and earrings set...earrings are scent diffusers, and the necklace has a lipstick pull out and an eyeshadow! Even if nothing comes of it, it is so much fun to think up and design the ideas!
@erinparsonsmakeup btw, lerage isn't pronounced like "rage". In french the "ā" doesn't exist. So the "a" is pronounced like "ah" like le-r-ah-ge. Hopefully that made sense.
@@alexandersmith4731exactly. What I love most about these vintage pieces is they aren't plastic crap.
New to your channel and I’m (gay, not creepy) obsessed. Your amazing artistry coupled with a shared love of design and history has me hooked. Now inspired to find some uniquely Australian vintage pieces 💕
I would LOVE if companies started making products like these again! My first ever “expensive” makeup purchase was the Anna Sui black rose lipgloss ring that I refilled with cheaper products over and over again. I’m so sad that I misplaced it over the years.😢
Yout description of the ring interested me. If you search it, a company called Oh Beauty seems to have it available . (Or a reproduction).
The spider bracelet looks like it was 80's - 90's. In the 90's I worked at a goth/occult store and we had similar, we also sold victorian style poison rings, but we would put lip balm or lip stick into them, one I even put solid perfume in. All of these were fabulous, can I request an earring tour one day? I'm always enthralled by your earrings and imagine your collection is museum worthy.
Agree 💯
The eye look! The hair! The fit, with secret makeup! Just so iconic 😀
Been a pleasure learning about the history of make-up products from years ago, so interesting! ❤
Thankyou! I do love a show and tell, gives me a chance to get these beauties out of storage now that I moved my office ❤
Yes love this !!! I grew up in the era of the Dior makeup jewels, 10yr old me thought a giant dior jewel ring filled with sparkly lip balm was the absolute height of glamour and I still do 😌. and now I'm a makeup artist so it had a profound effect.
Oh that’s amazing! Can you tell me which year it’s from? I still see them online from time to time 🤗 if ya want one.
@@erinparsonsmakeup erin, I had one that was a makeup counter gift with purchase. i had it on my keychain for yrs, and can give you 3 poss dates. i believe i received mine around 1999-2000 (because i was celebrating a big new job at 30). its also possibly 2004-2005 (celebrating a divorce, lol). also possibly 2007 because i bought midnight poison (still have and love). but also i think they had more than one version. hope this helps!
@@erinparsonsmakeup The 2008 "golden dior" necklace with a radiance powder inside you showed is a particular favourite as it's a beautiful bronze and gold gem locket but the sparkly orb I think from 2006 is also to die for. I've also picked up a few of the YS "lip twins" which were hidden lipstick ornaments that had a mirror, sparkle gloss and cream lipstick plus the YSL logo detached and is a hidden makeup brush ! Super fun era of makeup that I miss dearly.
@@mquilez01 Yup they released them with certain runway collections for over a decade ! What beautiful gifts and great choices, Only brands like dior/ysl/chanel could turn wearable makeup into a work of art.
@@erinparsonsmakeupthe blue accented large ring or the “Dior princess ring” was from 2005. galliano did a few other jewelry pieces, that were hidden makeup/ compartment. 2003 had the “street chic bracelet compact”, 2004 had a dice necklace “Dior play”. And also a pill compact men’s cable bracelet from I believe 2000.
Those flamand makeup bracelets are so gorgeous 😍 vintage makeup AND jewelry? Yes please!!!
I absolutely love the passion you have in your voice and facial expressions when you are sharing with us all of your amazing pieces. Ty for sharing 💜🤍
I have to admit this move has me so tired i was worried I sounded sleepy 😅
@@erinparsonsmakeup oh hence the more soothing voice vibe 🥲 I'm personally down for Erin Parsons ASMR. Hypnotising
VERY 'Cruel Intentions' 😉.
These vintage hidden makeup pieces are absolutely to die for. I can't quite pick a favorite, but the Schuco monkey is oh so cute, and the onyx necklace is everything on you! 🖤🖤
Thank-you for such a comprehensive trip through makeup eras! I grew up with Fashion Two Twenty and Avon, my mom being a seller of both. And both companies sold some fashion jewellery that had hidden compartments with solid perfume or lipbalm in it. Nothing as luxurious as some of these examples you show but still very whimsical. Also, you worked at MAC the same time that i did! Do you remember their first perfume oils that came in glass vials? Not makeup, but still as a modern concept, quite unusual because they made an "amulet" that you could wear as a necklace, and place your oil vial in it. I miss those fragrances! I still have a tiny drop or two of my favorite one that i wear on special occasions 😊
Thanks for all the intelligent, informative and pretty videos!
How has no one said how STUNNING your makeup is in this video? Because this is my favorite makeup look you've done yet! Beautiful! And hidden makeup needs to come back these are adorable!
1:51
my two moods honestly.
there's times where you wanna be used but still be loved.
You should create a vintage style make up line! I'm sure you'd do great. I know I would buy everything. ❤
I just need an investor because I’ve spent all my money on vintage makeup 😂
Besame Collab?
Yes, they certainly have gotten more expensive lately. I have been collecting vintage compacts since I was a child . I have a few of my grandmother's. She was born in 1901 and she saved everything. Each is unique; which makes collecting these vintage compacts addicting.
I wished the makeup companies made more makeup like these ones that you are showing. ❤
Someone should bring these back! Not only beautiful and cute, but highly practical, specially with our lack of pockets. 100% would buy.
Your like a breathe of fresh air i was a big fan of the make up tutorial hype back in the days and learnt how to do my make up from RUclips i love how you teach us the history of the make up cause without all this we wouldnt have what we use today i love your videos and always binge watch x
That is so sweet 🫶🥹 maybe it’s the same for me, I’ve been a makeup artist for over 20 years so it the history I’m learning now and what I feel most passionate about 😊
amazing… also congratulations on moving! Thank you for your content! My heart goes 💃💓🎼 when I watch your videos!!
Sadly there was a terrible leak at the last place that never stopped. Big hole in the ceiling directly over the most rare pieces of the collection. It was not a move I wanted 😭 but one day I’ll have a permanent place that all can enjoy 😊
@@erinparsonsmakeup p
Very cool antique & vintage
historical makeup💄finds.
As a retired licensed cosmetologist I too also like finding hairdressing articles of the past such as wave clips, marcel irons etc.
Great videos 👏🏼 thanks for sharing❣
OMG that hair looks so fantastic on you!!!! It creates the perfect frame for your stunning artistry!!!
This wig comes in handy when my roots get too long for the blonde 😅
@@erinparsonsmakeup where's the wig from?
Yes where is the wig from I need it!
Dear Erin this was super interesting! I would love to start buying vintage makeup but I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to recognize if the item is a fake or simply overpriced. Any heads up on what to avoid? Thank you!!!
I would first get some compact collection books. My favorite it’s by Roselyn Gerson. She was a huge collector. There are not really fakes out there, just low quality pieces. I can’t believe some of the prices people are charging lately. 😮
@@erinparsonsmakeup thank you so much❤
I’m OBSESSED with hidden makeup and vintage/antique cosmetics and their beautiful components. Thank you for the most fascinating videos, Erin! ❤
You are so welcome! I’m glad others appreciate it too 🤗!
My grandmother was very humble and poor, but I remember one of her prized possessions was a metal lipstick box that opened up to reveal a little mirror. Sadly, it was lost to time. Probably tossed once the product ran out. It always felt so glamorous to me. Thank you for finding these little gems amd bringing them back to light. I wish they still sold these.
I totally enjoyed watching this. It’s like Wow!! I didn’t realise makeup could be hidden in jewellery pieces. Erin, your content is the best as well as informative and interesting. Keep up the great work beautiful lady.
I absolutely adore vintage makeups and jewelry. I wish more companies would make products like this again. I fell out of my seat over the fall into stars
I just adore how innovative the cosmetics world has been for so long. I personally hate carrying a purse, having all your products on a bracelet would be AMAZING now
First , I'm so excited to watch this I'm obsessed with anything vintage and have started collecting because of you ❤
How exciting! Congrats! 🤗
I WAS FIRSTTTTT LOL
This was a fascinating vid, really was quite surprised at the intricacy and imagination that went into creating these wearable works of art. I really liked the marcasite spider piece, so thank you for sharing both your collection and your knowledge with us.
PS: your eye makeup look was gorgeous! 😊❤
Ooo marcasite! I wondered what it was made out of 😊
with this hair and makeup and all the passion in your voice you remind me of my favourite ballet teacher 🥺 being a dancer, loving the theatre and the beauty of the performing arts is a big part of what got me into loving makeup and fashion and their interconnected histories. thank you for making such wonderful videos and sharing your knowledge and treasures with us!
Thanks Miss Erin, you're very inspiring. The beauty community feels so oversaturated because of the same content and same faces. Your followers really learn something significant from you ❤❤❤
Ahhhh!! It’s always a great day when you post a full length video here!! ❤
I actually feel so bad that I can’t seem to be consistent. I would love to Atleast get content up weekly. One day I’ll get there 🤗
@@erinparsonsmakeup I honestly doubt anyone is going to lose interest (they'd be mad, I tell you) so don't stress about uploading when you can't. Self-care.
Always a delight when you have new content. You bring history alive. Just wonderful. ❤
Erin, you are sooooooo vintage-chic & badass! I love seeing how passionate you are about these unique pieces & how you much you adore each stunning little treasure in your collection.
Now I'm over here fantasizing about you and Lisa Eldridge having a vintage makeup show and tell 😍🔥
I love the craftsmanship that went into these pieces. I appreciate how special they were to the people who owned and used them. It reminds me of being an adolescent first getting into makeup, owning one eyeshadow duo, one mascara, one lip gloss, etc. and cherishing them. Rampant consumption is tiring, and I wouldn't mind if more brands created these beautiful makeup works of art again that are designed to be kept for years and refilled. Thankfully, we no longer have to be discreet about makeup, but the pieces are still beautiful.
I would love to see Erin recreate a line of this hidden makeup jewelry 🤗
Fascinating! I had no idea these jewelry items existed. Love this idea. I wish cosmetic companies still made them.
The Cleopatra hair on you is GIVING!! Short bangs look stunning with your eyes/makeup 😍😍😍
Man...i love you dear!! I love the way you talk and the way you present your collections. Much love to you 🌹
Erin you really need to make documentary style videos, I could watch hours of you talking about makeup and its history!!
your videos are so unique. these are the kind of videos we didn't know we needed but now can't live without! I seriously had no idea the history of makeup is soo interesting
I truly appreciate you not only reviving my love for makeup but also reviving these pieces and teaching everyone about these pieces. So thank you so much Erin, I truly hope you one day make your own brand.
You are simply my favorite beauty guru! I learn something every time you post! You are giving us a true education not only on the beauty of makeup but the history of it. I'm a jeweler (one that sold jewelry for over 30 years) and these designs are stunning!!!
Thank you so much!! I bet you could make your own compact necklace or bracelet then! 🤩
Love your content so much! ☺️ Not sure if it counts as "hidden makeup" but I remember when I was growing up my mom had this Pupa carousel-looking piece that was actually full of makeup. I used to play with the horses (that held eye shadow palettes, I think) so she had to keep reminding me to put them back. 😅 Anyway, thanks for all you do! Makeup history is such an underrepresented niche on YT, and you present it in a wonderfully engaging yet soothing way. ❤️
For someone who loves vintage AND make-up, your channel is such a gem! Thank you ❤️🙏
ERIN! Gurl!! please start ur own line and bring back these ingenious items with hidden makeup and novelty type items. Their useful, cute, and fun that were kinda lacking in our cosmetics environment rn
You are just absolutely incredible! So beautifu and talented! I love the history you show could listen all day!🖤🖤
I wish my sole focus could be content, pesky day job 😅 I’d love to film daily!
Our current cosmetic companies need to rethink and do something cool like this!
Fascinating. Old compacts are so beautiful. Thanks for showing us! X
I absolutely adore you! You're my current favorite beauty RUclipsr and you're so genuine and original, your personality is so warm and welcoming while also being quirky and cute! Please keep making these videos for us and don't stop being yourself ❤
I wish they still made pieces like this. So beautiful! And I love those powder puffs! I could literally watch this for hours. 💜
I would die for modern takes on these makeup accessories, they are SO cute, especially those bracelets. 😢❤
First of all, love your look in this vid! Second, your voice is so calming and pretty.
And lastly, thanks for sharing some of your amazing collection with us. Definitely, this level of luxury mixed with practicality needs to make a comeback.
I literally cannot get enough of your content. The rewatchability is INSANE. Thank you for your passion, expertise, and professionalism! You are a true gem in the beauty world 💎🩵
Please don’t ever stop making videos I love your outlook on makeup and it’s history plus your personality is so sweet

Erin, your passion and enthusiasm for collecting and vintage makeup and modern, interesting makeup is so palpable that I gwt excited while watching your videos! And I wear makeup maybe twice a year. It's so fun to see a collector who really knows her stuff and lights up when she talks about it! I have collected various things throughtout my life so I can relate even though I dont collect makeup. Thank you, Erin for always sharing your beautiful collection and knowledge with all of us makeup lovers. 💄 ❤
such ay calm humble and a relaxing take on the beauty community, love your aesthetic vibe and makeup expertise!
You are so eloquent and graceful. It was such a treat to watch all the beautiful pieces. Vintage make up was absolutely stunning back then. Too bad 2000 does not have such intricate and beautiful pieces anymore 😢
Love you! Thank you for bringing love of fashion, cosmetics and history together and keeping it interesting as well as fun. I'm a retired make up artist and big fan. Thank you!!😊
Hi Erin. I enjoyed this video so much. I majored in English and I have done research and written papers on beauty recipes and the opinions of women who wore makeup in different eras. I am a freelance makeup artist, so to see the history of the eras and makeup coming together is a treat. The top two things I love most.
These are all so adorable!!!
You really are the chosen one that’s come to revive the beauty community
Always excited to get a new video from you! Thanks for always delivering quality and fascinating products!
you are the only makeup youtuber i consistently watch! i just love your format, makeup, vibe, honestly everything!! before i wasn’t that interested in vintage makeup but after you and yura gim’s videos i’m all in!!
I loved this video! So much history and ingenuity that went into these pieces so women could discreetly touch themselves up and look amazing. I honestly could watch a whole hour of this!
You are so fabulous and so much fun! I love your diverse vintage makeup collection… thank you for sharing it with us! I look forward to your uploads.💜
I never knew how creative and discreet cosmetics were back in the day. I loved watching your collections. They are amazing. I feel half bad that they have to be that discreet, but this just proves that no one can stop a woman from wearing makeup if she wants to. And I love how the powder puffs were hidden in all kinds of stuff. I love all of it.
So stunning 🤍
Can’t wait for your next video!
Wow 😍 What a stunning collection!
Wow, I love stuff like this!!! Thank you for sharing!
