I emailed them asking for a 10in bowie with a metal handguard. They said they passed it onto their team. Glad to see they're still working on things.

Unfortunately the zombies got the same knife. Looks great. You can modify the sheath by drilling a slot and putting a bolt and screw in it just like the Esee junglas. Then you can slide the screw to tighten the sheath opening.

I take my *Varusteleka Terava Skrama 240* and pit it against any comparable large chopping knife, factory, or custom that I have yet seen reviewed and raved about on RUclips. The 80CrV2 high-carbon steel is tough. I hate stainless steel because I have never encountered a stainless steel alloy that wasn't exponentially more difficult to sharpen than a comparably priced high-carbon steel alloy. I have found this maxim to be true for kitchen knives, regardless of how expensive they might be, as well as for pocket knives, hunting knives, fishing knives, and outdoors knives.
As a 22 year professional chef, I've owned dozens upon dozens of really expensive kitchen knives from virtually all of the top European knife manufacturers, as well as a couple of the top Japanese knife manufacturers. I purchased my first stainless steel boning knife at age 16 and compared to its carbon steel brother from the exact same manufacturer it was a huge disappointment. It was supposed to be a knife that my mother couldn't hurt but it dulled so quickly and was such a stone cold bitch to sharpen that it ended up in the back of a drawer sitting unused for decades.

    • @PM-wt3ye

Its nonsense that you cant sharpen stainless steal easily… it depends on the steal, but most similar priced ones are also similar in Performance, otherwise they wont me on the market anymore. Certain stainles moras for example are „better“ than their carbon counterparts
