Hyeon Su is one of *THE* most victimized characters to exist. He literally does nothing except tries to live a _normal_ life and yet others just target him for their own means. The father tried to groom him into a psychopathic apprentice, the village head used him as an outlet for people's anger and bias, the delivery guy tried to kill him/harm him to take his money, the Baek family saw him an expendable robot they could control and occassionally vent their anger on, and even Moo Jin tossed him under the bus to try to further his career.
I feel do bad for him 😞
@@Kookiepookie2025 also Hee Seong has ALWAYS wanted to involve him/frame him even since Hyeon Su was a teen. Like Hyeon Su theorized, it seems Hee Seong had an obsession/fixation with him.

haesoo didn't bothered to fight back because of eunha. she doesn't want to risk her niece's life. in a way she pay back to hyunsu for taking the fall for villager murder by saving eunha
She let him assault her without a fight because she knew if she fought back, it would only aggravate him to hurt the kid.
I felt so bad for the kids, Hyun soo and Hae Soo. It's like their youth was snatched away from them because of their Psycho father.
the "lets not talk on the phone, we need to talk face to face" is the bane of my existence in crime kdramas!!!! They always want to discuss cases and share evidence in person so they end up being offed on the road before meeting the other person -_- Technology exists for a reason! Use it!!
Because that's another evidence that can be shared, edit, etc. Just for example, you wanna share your most secret to your best friend, I'd preferred to say it on her face than on messages. And technologies are not expert in emotional part. So face-to-face is a must. The most part they could do in this is being fully equipped or not going alone at least.
Hae Soo isn't necessarily a martyr - remember she did fight back against the village head to the point of killing him. But she felt guilty. She's so consumed by the guilt of having let her brother become a fugitive for the murder that she committed, that she's literally never worried about herself. Because she feels that she doesn't deserve that. She let Hyeon Su go on the run for her but she couldn't be happy because of that. Hyeon Su himself told Moojin that before : "The more dangerous it is, the more she'll want to do it."
hitting a psychopath is not a good idea when your goal is to protect the kid in the next room.
The lovely thing about this drama is that every year all the cast will get together and have fun they even celebrate new year together

Please watch *Lovely Runner* next. It got me hooked right after i watched it without any expectations and now i'm craving for new episodes every day 🥹 both main leads are really good at portraying subtle emotions

She didnt fight back because she wanted to protect eunha and jiwon - she knew he wouldnt go after them if he thinks he killed jiwon :((

Come and Hug Me is another great and very underrated and heartwrenching K-drama following a son with a serial killer dad. The story-line is ofc much different but I would definitely recommend.

24:00 Hae-soo didn't fight because she was concerned with protecting Eun-ha. Granted it was a hell of a gamble as after offing or disabling her the killer could have gone after Eun-ha but at the same time fighting back could've excited or angered the killer and cause them to go after Eun-ha anyway so either choice is a risk.

It wasn't a shock to me that, Do Min Seok did not commit suicide. I rather had a hunch that it was something else. Although, suicide is a pretty common mode of death amongst mentally ill people but still, not knowing the reason for suicide throughout the whole show got me thinking about this that, somehow something's amiss.
Also, Do Hae Soo did not put up a fight because you would not want to trigger a psycho in any way when you have a child to be saved. Do not set them off.

I watched these and i found these are needlessly too dark i would say. There is almost no balance of good and evil in these option.

i recommend the midnight studio next ( fantasy romance about a guy being a photographer for the dead, just ended yesterday quite heartwarming and not shy on romance) but if you want some light drama full of comedy after this dark dark drama i would suggest welcome to waikiki 👍👍
