  • This is how you get from Venice Marco Polo airport to Venice by boat ( vaporetto) or( water bus). Buy your boat ticket in the airport or outside. There are about 4-5 stops along the way, it takes a little over an hour to get to Piazza San Marco station. It took a little longer that day, due to the storm. Select your hotel as close to a water-bus station as possible, there are bridges with steps to cross and they don t have ramps for your luggage.

    Lovely video and reminds me so much of my last trip to Venice. The Alliaguna ferry is a good service to Venice taking 1.20 hours. Looking forward to my next trip.

    Hi, I have two questions for you. 1. How much is the ticket for the waterbus? 2. Do they operate at the weekend?

    • @danparisis3421
      @danparisis3421  5 лет назад +3

      The waterbus company is called Alilaguna 27 euros from the airport to Venice St. Marks square one way. Try to find a hotel near the waterbus stations (few bridges to cross and drag your luggage....) Yes they operate on the weekends, Notice, if your departure flight is very early, make sure waterbus station you use has early departures to airport, not all stations do. Have fun. www.visit-venice-italy.com/water-bus-alilaguna-airport-venice.html

    This has really changed since your my trip in 2014. Have they redone the airport? It used to be much easier. Do you advise buying tickets for a specific time online to avoid the line? What are the people on the right side and in line waiting for.

    • @danparisis3421
      @danparisis3421  5 лет назад

      The line moves quickly, online or on location are both good

      They did redo the airport, or at least the walk way and boarding areas for the Alilaguna boats.

    Why the last advice "Do not ask a local to help you to find your hotel". Are Italians so rude they would ignore or mislead you?

    • @danparisis3421
      @danparisis3421  4 года назад +1

      There are less and less locals living in Venice, 95% of locals did not know or had never heard the name of my hotel although it was only 2 blocks away. Waiters tend to know more than other store clerks. Its best to figure things out before you arrive or use an app to find it.

  • @LibbyRal

    Why would anyone want to spend a third of the video watching people drag luggage around an airport. This is just one of too many videos that waste our time with that scene

    • @danparisis3421
      @danparisis3421  5 лет назад +15

      Most people like to see in detail how to get from one place to another before they travel there. If you don't have the time, no one forced you to watch my video, there are many to choose from.

    • @LibbyRal
      @LibbyRal 5 лет назад +2

      Dan Parisis You're right, I'm sorry. That was snarky of me. I was expecting a different sort of video. I kept skipping parts of it, thinking I'd see scenery of Venice, and I missed your point.

    • @danparisis3421
      @danparisis3421  5 лет назад +9

      Usually the title tells you what to expect. It takes a lot of work to put a video together, providing correct info, adding music etc. To me likes or dislikes are not important. Helping other fellow travelers is what counts, as you see above, this video has been watched by over 10.000 people. Happy Travels my friend.
