I tried out a TON of corsair loadouts and BY FAR the most powerful loadout imo is all fixed cannons (do NOT get gimballed, just learn to fly the damn thing). Any laser cannons are good, only difference is sound and looks so just pick your favourite.
AD5B and AD4B is fun for me. 4 x Rhino and 2x Panther has been pretty good too. Finally, when I want a good laser cannon punch omnisky size 5 and 4. Deadbolts for my ballistic cannons but too few shots I feel.
My fave weapon setup for Corsair int terms of the guns is four size four laser repeaters and a pair of size 3 Gatling on the wings. The wing guns are to finish off pesky small fighters quickly or sometimes just the few extra dps to end something like. Hurricane and the main guns are for everything in general. I toggle between fixed and gimballed depending on target. For missiles I really like the size two scatter rockets (not sure why I’m forgetting the name). They’re a good balance all round for targets that need some softening. Also I generally try to keep some extra shielding on the forward face. I’m sure you can see why. Edit: when you face something with heavier shielding you want to choose a single shield face to hit. You also want extra power to those front shields and you def will want to move away to recharge your shields when they get too low. If you choose a shieldface they will not be able to keep it up faster than you can recharge yours (so long as you know to toggle power to shields when taking fire and then back off to rearm and recharge before another pass.
Great videos! Give the full cannon loadout a try, laser or ballistic (4xS5 + 2xS4). It will be hard to hit the hurricanes, but it should make quick work of the bigger ships.
laser cannons in staggered is the way to go in PvE The C 788s are buggy and don't work properly, probably because the explosion doesn't spawn on slow servers. Distortion weapons only the cannons work really good like the Vanguard nose ones or the size 3 Suckerpunch XLs
4 x AD5's on the nose. 2x size 4 Attrition's on the wings and 16 Raptor missiles for the heaviest punch. Remote turrets have nice blue sparkly nutron canons and repeaters.
Yea, hammerhead have better accuracy in this patch, so when circle strafing with a Corsair, it will eat through the front shield, thankfully all repeater fire so it’s easy to avoid hull damage, but with my Corsair (I use gimballed repeaters) it’s quite a long duel. I don’t really hunt HH with a Corsair, have a Retailator and Eclipse for that

Laser canoons (M5A/M6A) are the stock loadout too - which is awesome. Less to spend if one is on budget. They hit absolutely wipe anything bigger than a fighter.
i think you are a little confused. EM missiles only mean they use EM as their targeting. they dont do anything special to components. you just got lucky and took out his components. could have been done with any missile though.
I am not confused and you really should learn this, EM missiles track electronics signature, guess where are those signature coming from, components, so EM missiles have much higher chances of disabling ships by destroying components.
I am currently running fixed laser cannons and rattler 2 missile's-- cannons seem to work great when getting some distance and let the NPCs come at you. I haven't tried on HH's yet...Corsair flies to shitty for me to try that.
Why would use a ballistic cannon that does less DPS than an S1 laser repeater?! Not to mention that you put them on gimbals and used them locked (C-788 are S4 and you got 4x S5 hardpoints; Deadbolt V is the S5 ballistic cannon). While I haven't tested it yet, for S5 going fixed gives almost x3 DPS (vs S4 gimbaled) and since S5 repeaters are 700m/s, might as well take cannons for the extra DPS/Alpha. The 2x S4 hardpoints can be S3 gimbaled to allow you to handle smaller targets (you lose about 10% DPS going S4->S3, but the corsair can't really dogfight, so it's worth it). In other words, here's what I suggest: 4x M7A / OMNISKY XV (S5 fixed) 2x CF-337 PANTHER (S4->S3 gimbaled) As long as they are on different groups the gimbaled S3's should be able to aim independently even though they are higher velocity. Worst case, use laser canons instead.
Only reasonable loadout for Corsair is 4 fixed S5 laser canons no matters which one all have 2800m range and in second group 2 fixed balistic ad4 for closer encounters not recomended for the Hammerhead. For this though fu...ers I use to keep distance about two clicks out the range of his turrets back and side strafe and let the four mighty laser canons do the job 😉
The C-788 deal barely no dmg to ships for some reason. However they are incredibly good for clearing ground troops because they have splash damage
They were really powerful some 2 patches ago. Then they got hella nerfed

For laser repeater vs Hammerheads, I recommend sub targeting one of the front turrets. The front faced shield will go down very fast

If you manage to hit the target the Deadbolts are extremely deadly :P

For missiles I recommend Pioneers, proximity fuse helps with desync and have comparable explosion radius, once disabled HH with them
