      hello brother if it was your vehicle and what amplifier would you personally install? Since it had a JBB premium system, you would want an amplifier that has higher dsp?

    I just rewatched this again, and gotta say, I appreciate the hard work you did in this challenging situation. Because you made it really understandable and rather easy for us Camry owners.
    Cheers 🍻

    @provobeastaudio: I just want to say thank you for this video. I just got a Camry for my dad and the stereo head unit wasn't working. Just installed a pioneer single din (basically for handsfree) and wired everything using your schematics and wiring diagram.
    I rarely log in to comment, but you saved me a ton of time. Appreciate the video!

    Looks like someone did some previous work to the vehicle. Wanted to clarify something with you. The two brown (ground) wires for the factory amp is connected to which output speaker harness? Mine looks like it’s been cut and I wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance

    I have the same exact make, model and year car as this. I bypassed the factory jbl amp like you did- only difference is, I didn’t add an amp. I ran speaker wire right from the bypass harness to the back of my aftermarket head unit. Problem I’m having is that, it doesn’t appear to be powering on. When I can next yellow and red wires together, the head unit powers on and stays on. How else can I get it to power on when the car is on?

    Hi I have 2008 Camry non jbl, I had watched your video many times again but couldn’t figure out how to wire the speaker wire. I see that the color of the wire you mentioned don’t match like for front and rear are 2 different connector? Do you have any pictures or any guide will help. Thank you!

  • @sparkgaming9318
    @sparkgaming9318 Год назад +1

    If I am using a 4 channel amp like the Kicker Key, couldn't I just utilize the factory power and ground connections on those adapter harnesses? I'm still running RCAs and a new remote wire with the new radio, but that would simplify the power wires, that way I don't have to split off the power wire going to the trunk for the sub amp.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад

      Sure, just depending on how many amps of current your new kicker would be pulling. I'd check to see the amp fuse rating for the factory amp before you assume the factory wiring can handle that amperage.

    When you said 200rms at most with factory wiring, is that rms per speaker or total rms?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  6 месяцев назад +1

      Its about 100w RMS each channel for factory speaker wiring. Toyota uses about 18 gauge copper wiring which is still decent in power handling.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

      Yep, as long as your battery under the hood is in good shape.

  • @nobster9695
    @nobster9695 Год назад +1

    That is a 980 watt amp. Doesn't the car alternator need to be upgraded for such load handling as that model csmry comes with 12v 80amp alternator wich is 1080watts and the car uses 80% of the watts for normal operation leaving just 200 watts for mods. Can someone explain please?

    Hey man, I have a question. I have a 07 Camry with the factory JBL system (no nav). The voice coils on the factory tweeters burnt out and the rear speakers were blown. After replacing all 6 factory speakers the new tweeters smell like the coil are burning again. I cannot for the life of me figure out what would be causing it. Is it the amp, is it a short, how do I go about trouble shooting this? Any help would be appreciated.

      I'm having the same problem. Multiple places around town says it's the amp. I'm glad I found this video because all other places want to sell me on their own stuff and said there's no replacing the amp and everything would be replaced. This video proves them wrong

    Hello, since we keep the standard speaker cabling, does that still mean that there are still 8 channels? How did you wire the rear coaxial and front components? Did they have any externel crossovers for components?
    Apologize you might explained this in video, but i cant follow all of what said. and i cant translate it to Czech, my Englisch speaking is not bad because i live in Amerika, how ever trying to listen and follow allong can be difficult.

      Because the adapter we used was not meant for the JBL Camry sound system, rather for a SR5 Tundra trim. But since the harnesses were the same size, we could repin the harness and use it for our purposes.
