One of my favorite groups. Saw them 20 or so years ago, then again last year . Their harmonies and the huge catalog of hits was just amazing! Thank you Diamond Rio!
@@mtwz71 my ex wrote a song that was on the Love a little stronger album. You ain't in it. They were all SUPER nice when I met them years ago. I would love to see them play again.
@@ladydi37115 How cool is that? That’s awesome. We really enjoyed their concert the night we saw them. They complete band sounded so good together. I didn’t realize how long they had been playing music till when Marty said something about it.
@@mtwz71 oh yeah! I am from Nashville and I remember them playing at Opryland amusement park when I was a kid 🤣 They have always sounded great! Not "auto tuned" to death like everyone is now.
My wife and I just got through seeing Diamond Rio live at Wild Adventures south of Valdosta, Georgia. They were fantastic, and we got to hear some of their greatest hits as part of a medley. The nice young lady playing fiddle and mandolin is Carson McKee and she was great, and so was the drummer named Micah Schweinsburg. Marty Roe was still in fine voice, and he played his acoustic guitar; Jimmy Olander doubled on Taxicaster guitar and banjo; Dana Williams was one energetic bassist; and Dan Truman tickled the keyboard ivories. What I like most about Diamond Rio is that they made all their albums without being augmented by the usual coterie of Nashville studio musicians, unlike some country music bands that I won’t name--cough, cough, Alabama and Confederate Railroad, cough, cough, cough. I’m glad Diamond Rio made it to Wild Adventures. They said they might return next year. I hope so.
We really enjoyed seeing them play together. They sounded fantastic together and still had the crowd cheering and dancing. It was great to see that they were still holding it together after all these years. My wife and I really enjoy their music and we play it often in our cars, boats or whatever we are riding in. I’d enjoy seeing them again for sure but if they decide to retire then I don’t blame them. They have had a great career in the music industry.
They played in Waxahachie literally the day after this concert. I know because I was there & saw the whole thing start to finish. They sound like they barely aged a day. Absolutely fantastic 😉
Yeah he really does!! Doesn't sound like he's lost anything with the voice. 👍👍 The whole band sounds great too. I know they never had a female in the band, so I wonder which members are the originals?
@@mtwz71 yep they sounded good on your video. Thanks for making it. I didn’t know 2 of the members weren’t playing with them. It sure if that is permanent or not, butt they all did a great job.
@@jamminguitarman I’m not really sure. I noticed they had a different drummer and the younger lady playing the fiddle and singing was different also. Nevertheless, they were great. They put on a super good show.
They are STILL fantastic after all these years.
