Many decades ago this place was built. And since then, nobody has ever though of telling an apprentice to sweepout the floor.

Basic Engineering and the job is done... I laughed when they dropped the gear from about 30 plus feet. and again dropped a big weigh on to the shaft to slide the gear on....
I think the health and safety would be crying over here.... lmao....
    But the job got done.
I was thinking that they would have friezed the shaft and heated up the gear and that would have fitted on with ease... NOPE Drop it from a big height... love it...
Keep up the good work chaps...

I see You guys are very skilled and do amazing stuff... But as a fellow machinist (cnc) i cannot stand the way You treat Your's machines... I mean come on, welding detail to a chunk of steel on flat bed of shaper with no protection whatsoever on the bed? Why... It grinds me so much... Different example is droping chains on bedways in lathe... why? Why dont you care a bit much about Your equipment... With so little effort you could extert, Your quality of working would skyrocket...

They use Goose grease mixed with Buffalo dung to protect the machine tools. You should try it sometime.

Never mind that, their processes mean that the newly machined gear teeth get whacked a bit out of shape.

THOSE ARE NOT HELICAL GEARS , helical gears have curved teeth as in a car backaxel , differential,. those surfaces glide against each other and therefore demand very special oils.....(which many find smelling badly).....

No, they are "helcial" gears (see video title) - this is the Pakistani term for gears with the teeth knocked out of shape by banging them against random metal objects lying around..
Actually, they ARE helical gears. The gears you are thinking of in a car differential are HYPOID gears.

Why does nobody use indexable turning tools?? The amount of time wasted turning everything at one speed is so stupid! Use carbide indexable tools and you can run 10 times faster, you’ll get the job done faster which means you’ll make more money! Now with all that money you can BUY A BENCH to but your parts on instead of the floor!!
