List of all fake sounds because why not:
-Windows 1.0 to 3.0 (Startup + Shutdown): Highly pitched down fragment of the Windows 95 startup sound
-Windows Whistler (Startup): Windows 98 Startup + Level Up (Microsoft Entertainment Pack), both reversed
-Windows Whistler (Shutdown): BeOS sound
-Windows Server 2003 (Startup): Taken from a commercial for the same OS
-Windows Longhorn (Startup + Shutdown): Taken from a Samsung theme made for Windows XP
-Windows 8.x/10 (Startup): A file named "Windows Logon Sound.wav" present in C:\Windows\Media
wdym longhorn was only rare whistler never came out and the workstation was only windows co. themselves to use it not fake

As a nerd, I declare this to now be the national anthem of all computer nerds who choose Windows. (even if it uses the wrong sounds sometimes)
I'm a Windows loyalist for a long time! Once I buy the PC of my dreams soon (in my case, it's the Huawei MateStation S; running Windows 11), I would like to set this song as my startup sound, so I can stand up and salute my PC before I start doing whatever work on it!

:) I was a Windows 7 kid, but remember XP and took apart an old HP Pavilion PC in 2012 that ran Windows 98, which was used for educational games by myself in the early-mid 2000s.

Just getting it out of the gate, the Whistler, Server 2003, Longhorn, Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 all have the wrong startup noises. But honestly I don't blame you, kind of hard to figure out what's official and what isn't.
I’ve had several people tell me the same. But it’s okay, as long as people enjoy the music, that’s all that matters :)
Longhorn is correct
@@Pd_Subs. Longhorn used the XP startup until after the development reset, then it switched between XP and Vista until it released. No idea where the fake Longhorn noises came from and why people started using it for Longhorn. NT 5.0 has a startup that violates Microsoft when used in RUclips and other videos.
Windows 1, 2 & 3 doesn’t have a startup sound, the Windows Whistler startup is fake and the Windows Longhorn startup is the same as Windows XP bc the startup that’s used is fake.
0:01, 0:25, 0:32 0:36, 0:43 these are the fakes
Ok, idk how, but it sounds amazing and I'll probably listen to this more than just once, because it actually sounds better than 90% of any music in the world. Very good job!

I absolutely love this, but theres some things you messed up with the startups:
The sounds for Windows 1.0-3.0, Whistler, Server 2003 and Longhorn are fake. 1-3 didnt have any sounds, Whistler used Windows 2000 Sounds and both Longhorn and Server 2003 used the XP Sounds. The startup for Windows 8 is half-true, its in the files of 8.0 and 8.1 but go unused, since they use the Vista/7 Startup
I'm aware of this! They may not all be genuine sounds, but I wanted to make sure each OS had a representing sound. But as long as people enjoy the song, I think that's all that matters! :)

HOLY HELL. The Windows 2000 startup sound is SO nostalgic - that's the PC my parents had back in 2007 - 2010 before it finally broke down. Ugh - the feels!
As much as I love and miss Windows 95, I had a love-hate relationship with the start up sound. Probably because I always thought it was too loud, or that my speakers were set that way. It had great sound too.

Did your school have XP computers? I'm 17 and my elementary school had XP until 2015. I also used 95 on my dad's old PC to play Oregon Trail.

But it's not the creator's fault, it's the fake sources' faults.

Fun facts: Windows 1.0 dosen't have sounds
Windows Whsitler uses Windows 2000 Sounds
Windows Server 2003 uses Windows XP Startup Sound
And Windows Longhorn Uses Windows XP Sounds
I will point out the fake sounds. This video is flawed.
Windows didn't have any sounds before 3.1. That sound is fake.
Windows NT 5.0 before Beta 0 (the one shown on the vid) used the windows NT 4.0 startup
That windows 2000 shown on the video looks so fake.
Windows whistler used Windows 2000 sounds. The fake sound was made with 3 sounds: The Windows 98 shutdown sound, the Windows 2000 Beta 3 startup sound, and the level up sound from the Microsoft Entertainment Pack: The Puzzle Collection game.
Windows server 2003 used XP sounds everywhere, even the UK. The fake one came from a Windows Server 2003 commercial.
Windows longhorn also used Windows XP sounds. The fake one came from a mod called "Longhorn Reloaded."
Windows 8-10 actually used the Windows Vista/7 startup sound. Try turning it on yourself.
Wrong sounds:
Windows 1.0-3.0
Windows Whistler
Windows Server 2003
Windows Longhorn
Windows 8.1-10 (it used the 7 sounds)
It's funny to see some of the windows start up sounds are meme sounds and then there is the victory sound. Nostalgia is epic

Having used Windows since I was little, starting with Windows 2000 (or maybe Me), I don't think I'll say goodbye to Windows anytime, especially after listening to this song! I can't wait to buy Huawei MateView GT and Huawei MateStation S (with Windows 11) soon!
This reflects all the versions of windows which has created remarkable history and inspires us to morph our own future by looking at the past. Love this remix so much. Miss all the old versions of windows which are very unique and beautiful in their own way. It is very nostalgic. Amazing work. RIP windows 1.0 to windows 8.1 and welcome windows 11.

The Whistler Startup is fake. It was a combination of Windows 98 sound, MEP sound and Windows 2000 build 1983-2000 startup reversed.
Even the Server 2003 is fake. It was just the last seconds of the UK commercial.

NT 5.0's startup is a real sound actually, it's the shutdown sound that often get paired with it that's fake.
