im a 3d modeller who got my first drum kit about 4 months ago, im also a cheapskate; so in addition to all my stuff being second hand, all of my multi clamps, cowbell mount, and a few different roto-tom mounts are all printed. its given me a lot of freedom to expand and experiment with my kit layout for minimal cost.

i think il model/print some cymbal stackers next. At some point i will probably make various pipe clamps/fittings, to make a cheap drum rack. I have also modelled a cowbell pedal mount, though i havent tried it yet because i like my current mounting location and dont have a 2nd cowbell (yet).

ive also modelled a insert for a 6 inch diameter pipe with a drum bearing edge, since ive also been planning to make a couple of octobans using stainless steel exhaust pipe as the shell, should look nice and might have a interesting sound

Are 3D printing the wingnuts and drum key lighter / cheaper / more durable then regular metal / plastic ones?
Aside from the ability to customize like the skull shaped wingnut, what benefits are there?
