Thats the best version by far...the audience don't go wild but it was in an art museum...so the audience were probably a lot more appreciative than their lack of screaming and whistling would have you believe. 11/10 for this!
I keep coming back to this video. You can just tell that the kids are enough inspired by the tune and the conductor [music teacher?] to come together, dress up, and make it happen. Ain't nobody telling them to practice, LOL. They certainly all have varying tastes in music, but they all must have agreed this is a killer tune to show off in concert. This should happen more. Well done all, and major shout out to the Conductor. And Oz kids, keep playing, Follow your bliss!
AWESOME! Inspiring music, expression, teamwork. Wow. Instead of reading in the paper about kids in trouble, we should be learning about kids like this.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this. I think more than the music (which made my heart sing) I enjoyed the smiles on the musicians' faces. How great to enjoy what one does.
Wow. That gave me the chills. Everyone was into it. I used to play in winter drumline and we would have to practice our body language. I played mallets. This was sweet. I was looking for this song, and this was just what I was looking for. Thanks, it was perfect!!
This is one of the coolest videos I've seen... When the two guys smile at 1:34 it reminded me of my days back in percussion. The drum beat at 1:35 is so perfectly understated.... i like this sound much more than the metal part at 3:00 but it's still awesome.
This is phenomenal! We just played this piece in orchestra and it was...bleh. But you guys look like you are having so much fun and it was great to watch and listen to! Love it!
I really enjoyed that, great arrangement, and I applaud the instructor! I know these people practiced that a million times, and yet they were still enjoying the performance
That was amazing...such enthusiasim...are they hisgh school kids? if so, that is mind boggling...every single one of them is talented. 10 outta 10 in my books! Job Well Done!!
I'm guessing that this took a bit of practice? This was great, wonderful, excellent. I found your version while surfing RUclips on a Sunday morning. What a great find and what a great tune to start a Sunday (or any day). Also, what a great cooperative, sharing ensemble. You can't play this so well without subordinating yourself to such a spirited and spiritual team effort. This is one of those "you gotta see this" RUclips videos I'll be passing around.
Lost count of how many times I've shared this now. Piece just sat around amongst pleb caretakers like penguins for years waiting for some bunch of qld schoolkids to arrive and claim "MINE".
Excellent!! I echo the comments of others in saying I wish I was there also. These dudes are having heaps of fun. Why such a small crowd though? Should be packing out the house!!
such a great video. that conductor/teacher makes my day! and I can tell those kids really have an appreciation for good music. that being said, that audience's applause seemed a bit weak!
This was OUTSTANDING! I am a percussionist and a music teacher and I was moved to tears by the musicianship and performance of these kids. BRAVO!!!
I keep coming back to this one, it always cheers me up.
I wish there were a little more people out there as enthusiastic about music as those kids are.
Awesome job.

Nice preformance. Like it. But the guys on the right are cute also
If I was the composer, I'd have said to that 9 yr old kid "are you rushing or are you dragging?"
Yeah that was some weak applause after a great performance. They totally deserved more.
